Learning and development

• Responsible for creating and implementing a programme to identify training and development needs across Stewardship, using assessment and analysis tools.
• Systematically supporting individuals to develop their personal learning plans and help identify learning opportunities to support this.
• Embed competencies and behaviours into job roles to improve recruitment and performance processes.
• Mapping all learning across the organisation to create clear learning pathways and opportunities for progression
• Identify and investigate learning methods, and create recommendations to facilitate training, learning and development for individuals and teams. 
• Work proactively with team leaders to prioritise learning & development, designing and creating training programmes which are team or group specific. 
• Design and implement innovative ways of encouraging informal learning across Stewardship and creating a framework to ensure this becomes a core part of organisational culture.
• Develop and organise ongoing training for line managers to support them to lead effectively and in line with servant leadership behaviours.
• Create high quality and accessible guidance to ensure all colleagues are accessing a full range of benefits and opportunities to learn, grow and develop while at Stewardship.
• Facilitate and deliver training to staff, with support from other PC&P members or LT.  For example, on equality & diversity, or coaching skills etc.
• Monitoring and reporting on learning expenditure, working closely with team leaders to ensure learning targets are being met.

Employee engagement

• Lead on developing our employee listening opportunities:
• Planning, implementation, analysis, presentation and follow up of our regular staff pulse surveys, working with team leaders to implement findings.
• Create a programme of listening at key moments of the employee lifecycle, e.g. returning to work after maternity leave, exit interviews, through probation etc.
• Facilitate and work with other staff to deliver topic-led consultations, gathering insights on specific areas.
• Oversee the exploration and development of an employee forum to strengthen employee voice.  Working to develop terms of reference, organise meetings, and facilitate speakers and feedback.
• Evaluate the impact of activities using a range of evidence and metrics to identify insights, trends and patterns.
• Working with the Head of PC&P to identify, implement and roll out any appropriate software to underpin employment engagement and learning. 

You will have:

• At least three years experience in a learning and development role, preferably at a management level.
• Experience of leading and implementing learning initiatives within organisations and have a passion to support colleagues to embed learning and grow in their role. 
• Good knowledge of learning theories, and experience of applying these within the organisational context.
• Experience of delivering learning initiatives to individuals and groups at all levels of an organisation.
• Experience of establishing a range of employee voice channels, and ability to evaluate findings.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, able to influence and engage a range of stakeholders.
• Commitment to your own personal development and learning.

We’re looking for a passionate, driven individual to become a part of Shelter’s fundraising team and play a vital role in our mission to combat homelessness. Join us as a Regional Community Fundraiser covering the South London region, where you will work to engage local communities and raise crucial funds to support our fight for home.

About the role

Our London region is one of our busiest, with large numbers of warm supporters hosting fundraising activities across the year. As a Regional Community Fundraiser, you will engage with a diverse range of audiences, including individuals, local businesses, schools, volunteers, and community groups, to build meaningful relationships and raise vital funds to support Shelter’s mission. A key relationship in this role will be the one you build with the Regional Community Fundraiser – North London, working closely together to deliver a robust stewardship plan for opportunities that lie across both regions.

You’ll be at the heart of our efforts to inspire long-term engagement with Shelter’s work and make a lasting impact. About the team

This exciting opportunity sits within Shelter’s Community and Events team which is a part of the Income Generation directorate. Community and Events is made up of our Community Fundraising, Supporter Experience, Digital Fundraising & Marketing and Mass Participation teams, across the team we look after a wide range of fundraising activities encouraging supporters to raise money and providing them with the support to do so.

In this role, you will report into the Senior Community Fundraising Area Manager who will provide guidance, coaching, and support to help you thrive in your role. You’ll be working closely alongside community fundraising colleagues based in London, Birmingham, Bristol and Norwich.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Chef to join our Facilities team at the Marie Curie West Midlands Hospice. In this important role, you will create high-quality, nutritious meals for patients, staff, volunteers, and visitors, while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

You will bring strong culinary expertise, the ability to design and deliver varied menus, and a commitment to excellent customer service. We’re looking for someone who works well within a team, shows initiative, adapts easily to changing demands, and demonstrates a genuinely caring approach.

You will also assist the Head Chef in supervision of Catering Assistants, assist with staff rotas, help recruit junior team members, and manage supplier selection and ordering processes.

The two regional roles currently available are fundamental to the delivery of the third phase of the Seed Sovereignty Programme across southern and western England.

Working alongside the north east based England Lead, each role involves supporting seed networks across a dedicated region (southern or west of England- see regional map)  through training, mentoring, and routes to market, as well as engaging with a range of groups and individuals through events, workshops and talks.  The role involves collaborating with the rest of the Seed Sovereignty Programme team remotely to share best practices and develop the delivery of the work nationally.

Key Responsibilities for the role:

Seed knowledge:  Understanding agroecology, small-scale seed production, seed sovereignty, and open-pollinated varieties.

· Has a good understanding of seed saving and agroecological seed systems.

The person who currently leads ADUKs education and training work is moving into an exciting new role within our team. We’re now looking for someone marvellous to take on part of their work, alongside some exciting new initiatives we want to develop. We’re not looking for a direct replacement - we want someone who will relish the opportunity to shape and grow this role into something truly impactful, supporting our work and strengthening the sector.

Key Purpose: The postholder will play a key role in strengthening knowledge, understanding, and best practice both within the sector and externally with service providers and the public, helping to remove barriers for assistance dog partnerships.

Internal focus: Coordinate the learning and development of ADUK member organisations, ensuring access to high-quality resources, training, and support to maintain knowledge sharing and best practice development across the sector.

External focus: Deliver education engagements and training to stakeholders, including businesses, service providers, and the public, through ADUK’s wider education initiatives and the new Corporate Allyship Programme.

Key Responsibilities

Learning:

• Manage ADUK’s shared Learning Management System (Moodle) and training platform, supporting members to make the most of the available content and resources.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

• Recent and relevant experience (3 years +) in designing and delivering in-person and online training and educational workshops and programmes.

• Experience in managing learning management systems (LMS) and digital learning tools, (preferably Moodle based LMS)
• Excellent organisations skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and coordinate multiple organisations and stakeholders.

• Confident relationship building skills.

About you

Do you want to use your skills to make it possible for people with myeloma to live longer and better lives?  We are looking for someone with experience of delivering high quality supporter journeys and delivering fundraising projects and activities to join our Legacy & In Memory Giving team. Helping to grow income and supporting and delivering the Legacy & In Memory Giving fundraising strategy. 

You will have excellent communication, organisational and IT skills with good attention to detail and be able to follow procedures accurately.  Being successful in building effective relationships, self-motivated with the ability to manage a wide range of tasks under pressure and committed to making a difference is essential.

Previous experience of working in a cancer or healthcare charity, talking to bereaved and vulnerable supporters and using Raiser’s Edge or a similar CRM system would be an advantage but not essential.

About the role

The Legacy & In Memory Giving Fundraiser will help support and deliver the Legacy and In Memory Giving fundraising strategy.  You will have compassionate communication skills, especially when talking to supporters who are recently bereaved and you will develop and deliver outstanding stewardship programmes that offer support and drive retention.

This role requires using data and insight to help deliver the Legacy marketing programme, whilst also supporting the day-to-day Legacy and estate administration, dealing with solicitors, legal representatives and executors.  You will proactively develop In Memory Giving fundraising, maximising the fundraising products, channels and messaging already available, as well as identifying new opportunities that are suitable for the Legacy & In Memory audience.

The role will also include working with colleagues, maximising cross team collaboration and ensuring appropriate Legacy and In Memory stewardship across all fundraising specialisms.

As a key member of the Creative Content team, the Senior Graphic Designer will lead on and produce all aspects of creative design and branded materials. Responsible for ensuring heightened creativity and brand consistency, the Graphic Designer will act as a brand guardian, leading creativity across the organisation to elevate IR’s brand.

The Graphic Designer will lead on creating engaging designs for a variety of briefs from ideation through to concepts development, design and final creative products for Islamic Reliefs fundraising, marketing, advocacy, UK programmes campaigns and initiatives. 

They are responsible for producing a diverse range of high-quality, innovative, and engaging digital and print materials that showcase IR’s progressive humanitarian work both nationally and internationally.

The role involves creating and developing visual assets across multiple channels, including direct mail packs, posters, leaflets, project booklets, fundraising materials and emergency appeal communications, social media graphics, digital ads, event marketing materials, advocacy campaign assets, website visuals, and published reports. The post holder will also occasionally support video production for campaigns.
