About the role:
We are looking for an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) to be based at Luton & Dunstable Hospital this role will compliment the Hospital IDVA based at Bedford Hospital. This is a full-time post on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2025. The aim of this role is to support victims of domestic abuse predominately risk assessed as standard/medium to compliment our high risk service across Bedfordshire. This is a key role at the hospital working alongside the safeguarding team to ensure that victims of domestic abuse have access to appropriate support.
As an IDVA you will be:
- Providing a high quality support and advocacy service to victims of domestic abuse.
- Managing a caseload; identifying and assessing risks and needs, providing a tailored crisis intervention service through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
- Working with other agencies and advocating on behalf of service users in order to help them access services to keep them safe.
- Working within a multi-agency framework consisting of partners as well as MARAC and other local partnerships to offer a coordinated response to domestic abuse.
- Promoting the service and raise awareness of domestic abuse through the delivery of training to hospital staff and local partner agencies
You will need:
- Experience of working in support and advocacy with victims of domestic abuse is advantageous
- To be able to prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/needs and interests and promote organisation interests and values.
- To ideally hold a SafeLives IDVA accreditation, relevant degree, vocational qualification or relevant experience of delivering a service and working with domestic abuse victim's/service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting.

About the role:
This hybrid role is based in Brighton & Hove with home-working and at least 1 day in the office, you will also need to travel within the local area to meet clients and attend meetings. As an IDVA you will:
- Support the empowerment of survivors by assisting them to recognising the features & dynamics of domestic abuse
- Hold a caseload, prioritising high risk cases & providing a pro-active, short to medium term crisis intervention service
- Conduct comprehensive needs and risk assessments to provide individualized support plans, advocacy, practical support & information
- Participate in the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC)
- Use a person-centred, survivor-focused approach, being mindful of the effects of trauma & additional barriers to access that individuals may experience
- Work in partnership with both internal & external stakeholders to ensure that victims' & survivors' needs are met
- Assist in delivering training, and provide consultancy and advice to other agencies as required
You will need:
- An understanding of domestic abuse & its impact
- Kowledge of risk assessment, safety planning & risk management
- An understanding of safeguarding issues & the legal responsibilities surrounding these
- Experience of delivering services to vulnerable people
- Experience of working within a multi-agency and legislative framework

About the role:
The role of Homicide Caseworker is varied, demanding and rewarding; no two days are the same and you will thrive on this challenge. You will need to be extremely organised and able work independently and as well as being a pro-active, supportive member of a team open to developing your personal resilience.
You will work closely with the Major Crime Police Units, Senior Investigators and Family Liaison Officers, you will provide a pivotal role to support clients through the Criminal Justice System. You will provide support to families by phone and Zoom when their usual Homicide Caseworker is unavailable. You will complete needs assessments, and will coordinate and deliver a tailored package of support alongside our commissioned providers and other key stakeholders.
You will be driven to make a difference every day with the ability to focus on the needs of vulnerable service users. You will have resilience and adaptability; understand the importance of professional boundaries; have excellent listening skills and the ability to demonstrate empathy. You will enjoy the challenge of a busy caseload and will be able to demonstrate the excellent organisation skills essential to managing a demanding and diverse workload.
As a fully trained Homicide Family Caseworker you will be responsible for managing your own complex caseload to the highest quality standards. This role is part of our remote working team and so you will be home-based, however you will need to be able to travel to work meetings and to attend training as required.

You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment. About the role:
This role is based from either our Blackpool or Preston office. We are looking for a group facilitator to cover South and Central Preston, Wyre Fylde Lancaster and surrounding areas. You will be working primarily in targeted schools across your area and therefore you will need to be a car owner/driver.

- Lead & facilitate the group work program to children & young people in small groups within High Schools, who have experienced domestic abuse (8 groups per week).

- Considerable experience of working with children and young people, experience of delivering groups would be advantageous.
- You will have a thorough understanding of the impact of Domestic Abuse on children and young people.

- Writing up the monthly and weekly reports using clear written communication

The Client Support Worker targets those who need the Foodbank on a repeated basis and offers a package of support to address the complex and often overwhelming challenges and crisis situations they are facing. You will work with clients to give time, advice, advocacy and emotional support as well as providing personalised support. This could include assisting them to access help with finances, debt, social isolation and other issues and connect them with other local projects which may be relevant. Principal Duties and responsibilities to include:
- Client Engagement: Sit down with visitors and engage in conversation with them. Offer a listening ear and signpost clients, as required, to further support using your knowledge of the local environment.
- Client Support: Develop individual plans for clients to assist them through next steps. Act as an advocate where appropriate, assisting with phone calls, form filling and appointments. Accompany clients to other projects as required.

Over the last 4 years, our Support & Information Service has seen significant growth, and developed to become a leading source of support for patients, family members, siblings and friends of patients. Our aim is to increase the reach of the service further, ensuring that all patients diagnosed in the UK have the opportunity to access our Support & Information Service. The Role

About the role:
This role is home working based with travel in the Kent, Sussex and Surrey Area.
As a Homicide Service Children's and Young People caseworker you will be:
- Delivering a specialist service to children and young people (CYP) bereaved by homicide, and for those CYP who have witnessed a homicide.
