Turning Tides is a charity that supports people experiencing homelessness in West Sussex. While our central office is in Worthing, our work spans the county – from East Grinstead to Littlehampton and across areas in between. With over 20 accommodation projects, community hubs and outreach teams, we offer local single adults tailored support to move towards a more stable future. We strongly believe in addressing the root causes for homelessness, so our specialist teams support in areas such as mental health, substance misuse, tenancy sustainment, IT skills, employment guidance and much more. 

The Fundraising team is small but mighty. We shape and support the raising of funds for Turning Tides, by inspiring compassion for people facing homelessness and aim to engage supporters through powerful storytelling. From supporting and creating fundraising events, engaging with community groups, corporate clients and providing 1:1 stewardship with donors we aim to spread the word of our mission to the wider community, inspiring people to take action in support of those who are impacted by homelessness. This is an exciting time in the Fundraising team as we embark on a review of how we make our supporters and journey one that they value and a part of the work we undertake.

About the role

The Fundraising Officer will work closely with the Fundraising Manager on a wide range of tasks, ensuring our messages reach the right people in the right way. This could include giving talks at local community groups such as schools and churches, delivering fundraising, stewardship of fundraisers and donors. This role will include weekend and evening work to support our fundraising events.

We are looking for a Legacy Marketing and In Memory Manager to be responsible for delivering the legacy marketing programme as well as excellent stewardship of Legacy and In Memory supporters.

This is a London hybrid role with ideally 2 days a week in the office, there could be flexibility with this

The Role
Work with the Head of Individual Giving and Legacies to develop the Legacy marketing and In Memory strategies and devise and implement meaningful supporter journeys.

Deliver programmes across direct, digital, video and internal channels to increase future income from Gifts in Wills and In Memory fundraising.

Plan legacy events including identifying potential audiences/invitees, sourcing venues, arranging engaging speakers, and presenting content.

The Candidate
Demonstrable experience in creating and managing Legacy and/or In Memoriam Marketing campaigns for a charity.

Experience of managing full mix marketing including direct mail, telemarketing, email and online campaigns.

Experience of managing a campaign budget.

Our dedicated and friendly team of nine staff are based in central Bath and we are seeking someone to join us in the Partnerships team to focus on supporting fundraising and stewarding high-net worth individuals, alongside supporting the wider work of the Partnerships Team to grow income from Trusts and Foundations.

• Previous experience in community fundraising or a related field is beneficial.
• A strong network of contacts within the diocesan community, schools, or special interest groups is a plus.
• Exceptional communication skills, public speaking abilities, and strong organisational capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with social media are essential.
• Ability to work independently, manage your own time, and take ownership of key projects, while also being a strong team player.

Salary: £30,000- £36,000 per annum

Location- London, home based, covering the Dioceses of Brentwood, Westminster & East Anglia.

We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic Community Fundraiser to join our Income Generation Team.

Working to support the Birmingham Hospice brand, this varied role will support on the delivery of a diverse portfolio of Community Campaigns and events. The successful candidate will have a friendly and engaging personality and enjoy speaking to charity supporters face to face, over the phone and via email. 

Reporting directly to the Senior Community and Corporate Manager this role will grow our Community Impact by recruiting and managing community supporters and volunteers to drive our fundraising efforts across our key areas, lead and motivate individuals to take part in fundraising activities, turning conversations into lasting relationships that support our mission. Work closely with our community fundraising team to build new opportunities and continue to develop existing fundraising products.
