Purpose of the role
As the LGBTQ+ Service Lead you will manage the services we provide to support the wellbeing, confidence, and connectivity of LGBTQ+ youth across BANES.
Along with managing a small team you will plan, deliver, and facilitate our renowned weekly Space youth group (ages 13-21) and monthly Space to Be youth group (ages 8-13), 1:2:1 listening support, and schools work.
Our goal is to empower LGBTQ+ young people and provide a space where they are free from judgement, but also to spread awareness of the issues the LGBTQ+ community faces and how partners, parents, and the wider community can support them.
This role will play a key part in shaping the future of the LGBTQ+ services through exploring funding opportunities and other income-generating avenues to ensure the continued growth and impact of the services.

About the Legacy Manager role:
The Public Fundraising team are responsible for recruiting and stewarding new supporters in order to secure long-term income and growth. The fundraising team has real ambition to grow and develop, and Legacy and In-memory giving will form a key part of these plans.
You will lead on the development and implementation of a new Legacy & In Memoriam fundraising strategy that will

great at building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will work with teams across the charity to establish potential within our existing networks as well as reaching new audiences.
This is an opportunity to build and shape Legacy and In-mem giving at Royal voluntary service. You will be responsible for putting together plans to acquire new donors as well as building comprehensive stewardship plans for legacy pledgers and in-memoriam donors. You will have experience of delivering legacy events, marketing and setting and meeting ambitious KPI’s.
The role will work closely with the Head of Public Fundraising, research and implementing other new Legacy and in memoriam opportunities. All legacy administration is handled externally.

What you'll bring as our Legacy Manager :
Knowledge
- Experience of developing and managing a mixed Legacy and In-Mem Marketing portfolio.
- Experience of stewarding legacy prospects to become pledgers
- Excellent knowledge of GDPR, Fundraising Regulator guidelines, and other fundraising standards.
- A good understanding of working across a variety of fundraising channels; including digital, email, social media, direct mail, telemarketing, and SMS.
- A good understanding of using Charity CRMs.
- Proven record of managing agencies
- Proven track record of planning and delivering events
- A proven track record of delivering successful legacy and in memory fundraising programmes
- Understanding of UK legacy and in memory giving market including future trends and direction.
- Ability to report and analyse online and offline campaigns, including interpreting results, applying learnings and making recommendations to increase income.
- Ability to design, develop and deliver training and development activities for both staff and volunteers.
- Proven track record of delivering legacy cultivation events
Skills
- An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, and able to build and develop strong working relationships across an organisation.

Experience
- At least 5 years’ fundraising experience especially in legacy and in memory fundraising

Based in Tobermory the role includes responsibility for managing the charity’s retail operation and taking the lead on fundraising for the Centre and boat activities. The ability to ensure the effective co-ordination and delivery of the charity’s boat and centre operations, on time and within budget, as well as being able to work effectively with the wider team of staff, trustees, volunteers, and external contractors is central to all tasks.
A genuine interest in cetaceans and marine conservation is essential and an understanding of the workings of the third sector would be an advantage.
This is a varied role which differs from season to season and day to day. One day you might be debriefing with our expedition crew aboard our research vessel, the next developing new retail partnerships and promoting the Hebridean Whale Centre.
The role is based in Tobermory on the Isle of Mull which is also where the charity's office, Centre and boat mooring are located. The Programme Operations Manager will work from the office in Tobermory and remotely from home as required to deliver the objectives of the role.

What will I be doing?
Work in partnership with the Associate Director of Philanthropy to spearhead a new philanthropic initiative to raise seven and eight figure gifts for children and young people's cancer research.
Manage a portfolio of prospects with a primary focus on qualifying prospects and developing the engagement and stewardship of prospects through the full life cycle of giving and renewal. Ensure consistent pipeline movement and contribution of prospects both through their giving as well as helping to build CRUK's donor pipeline.
Achieve agreed fundraising income and prospect cultivation targets and provide regular reporting and metrics against goals.
Lead the development of the Wealth Advisors and Intermediaries strategy and engagement plan working in partnership with CRUK stakeholders.
Partner with the CRUK Leadership, Chairman, Trustees, as well as scientists, Philanthropy colleagues to develop and implement strategies for gifts of £1M+; help the development and supporting the management of volunteer leaders committed to advancing CRUK philanthropy; guide discussions with senior leadership on prospect strategy;
Own, develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders; including academics and researchers, institutional leaders, volunteer leaders, and writing briefings and coordinating engagement that will lead to gifts;
Work closely with internal colleagues to coordinate engagement with CRUK funded scientists and leadership develop proposals and propositions.

Ways of Working:
The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, but there are likely to be times when you will be required to come to your contracted office in London (up to 2-4 days per month or 6-8 days per quarter). About the role
As Grants and Major Gifts Executive you will:

Develop and implement strategies to secure funding from trusts, foundations, and major donors.

Overview:
Spires supports homeless and vulnerably housed people in South London. Spires has undergone a period of rapid transformation, moving to a model of multi-site working across three London Boroughs. Our core services include, day centre style drop ins for homeless people, a Women’s drop in, a Refugee drop in and outreach targeted at supporting Women who are sex working.
The Head of Fundraising and Communications will be joining the organisation at an exciting time. Recent successful funding outcomes provide a short period of relative funding stability and an opportunity for the post holder to develop our communications and community fundraising strategies.
Part 1: Job profile
1.1 Purpose of job
To generate income from a diverse funding pool that includes trusts and foundations, legacy and individual giving, community giving, government contracts and corporate support. Trusts and foundations remain the primary funding source for Spires so maintaining consistent application output is a core element of the role.
Oversee Spires’ external relations and public profile. The post holder will be responsible for all communications and will look for areas to increase the organisations profile.
Work with Spires CEO and the Head of Client Services to ensure that data and outcomes are being effectively captured in a way that is helpful for evidencing impact.
1.2 Position in organisation
The post holder joins Spires’ Senior Leadership Team and will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer. The post holder will join the finance, fundraising and risk subcommittee which includes members of the board of trustees.
The post holder will manage the Communications and Community Engagement Lead who currently leads on community fundraising, social media and volunteer recruitment.
Part 2: Key duties and responsibilities

Part 4: Summary of terms and conditions of service
Location: The postholder will be an employee of The Spires Centre. This post is based at 2nd Floor, Elmfield House, 5 Stockwell Mews, SW9 9GX This role will by hybrid with three days in the office and two days from home.
Probation: This post is subject to a 6 month probationary period.
Notice: This post is subject to an 12 weeks’ notice period once confirmed in post.
Annual leave: The annual leave entitlement is 35 days per year including 8 bank holidays.
Pension: The Spires Centre will contribute 5% of annual salary for those who qualify for our group pension plan.

We are looking for a dynamic leader with proven fundraising experience to become our new Head of Fundraising, helping When You Wish Upon a Star to make magical memories for sick children. We have recently moved into a modern new office, have appointed a new CEO and are celebrating 35 years of Wish granting across the UK. Your key focus is to grow our income generation, allowing us to grant even more Wishes to children living with life threatening illness. The Head of Fundraising and their team play a huge part in helping us achieve this vision and, occasionally, have some direct engagement with delivering Wishes.
Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Fundraising will be responsible for developing, directing and delivering the fundraising strategy.
