The Strategic Partnerships Fundraising Manager will play a key role in driving forward our business development ambitions. You will lead the prospecting and cultivation process right through to collaborating with experts across WAGGGS on programme/product design through to bid development for some of our largest, most exciting and complex corporate funding opportunities.

Your focus will be on developing new and scaling our current programmes and projects on topics such as climate change, menstrual hygiene, leadership, gender-based violence and STEM.

About the Team:

The team is comprised of New Business Experts with a full range of bid development skills from budget building, programme design and commercial expertise required to secure high value multiyear opportunities. Alongside side new business fundraisers you will also be working with our Senior Membership Organistaion Partner, who will support and negotiate funding opportunities at a country led level.

French, Spanish or Arabic language skills are desirable but not essential.

What you’ll do (key responsibilities)

Reporting to the Senior Fundraising Manager, you will be instrumental in supporting our Fundraising team across; Trusts & Foundations, Major Donors and Individual Giving.

In assisting with the coordination of the fundraising portfolio, the main responsibilities of the role will include:

• Leading on the delivery of 2 x Individual Giving appeals per year (Big Give);
• Leading on our Gift Aid management for all donors;
• Monitoring our team inbox, online and postal donations and ensuring a high level of donor care is maintained, including thanking and being the first point of contact for individual donor enquiries;
• Maintaining up-to-date supporter records on our database and identifying opportunities to improve processes for tracking relationships and capturing data on our progress;
• Prospect Research for trusts, foundations, statutory funders, as well as major donors identified by the team;
• Acting as the Relationship Manager for a small pipeline of Trust and Foundations;
• Assisting in the planning, administration and delivery of fundraising and stewardship events;
• Assisting in regular reporting and updates to both staff and funders;
• Working with our Finance team to track donation payments, process invoices etc;
• Supporting the Senior Fundraising Manager and the Communications team in the online planning, administration and analysis of Individual Giving Programmes;
• Supporting with copywriting and pulling information together to share with funders;
• Support with management of donation platforms;
• Other ad-hoc administrative duties as and when required.

This position will lead on the management and development of projects and campaigns to acquire new and increase the value and loyalty of existing supporters across both digital and direct channels. You will be responsible for a portfolio of Individual Giving Fundraising across single, regular, prize-led, payroll, legacy and in-memory giving.

• Using databases to inform Individual Giving campaigns
• Managing and delivering budgets and working with agencies
• Monitoring and evaluating campaigns, reporting results and make recommendations to improve performance.

About this Role

Together with the Director of Fundraising, the Philanthropy Manager will develop and deliver the Philanthropy Strategy, with the support of the Philanthropy Assistant.  This is a significant part of the organisation’s overall Supporter Engagement Strategy which focuses specifically on unrestricted income generation.  This role will raise unrestricted income through the development of Amref UK’s Major Gifts programme - the Mbele Movement - by identifying and cultivating new high net worth supporters, and inspiring them to make unrestricted, multi-year major gifts, in line with the Philanthropy Strategy. The Philanthropy Manager is also responsible for nurturing and growing our existing portfolio of philanthropists and philanthropic organisations by building strong relationships and securing unrestricted income in line with the Supporter Engagement Strategy.

• Have a "can do" attitude and a demonstrated ability to problem solve.  Ability to apply past experience of trust fundraising to anticipate potential challenges and address them quickly.

The Engagement and Communications Officer will work to maximise income and support for JUSTICE through events (approximately 45% of the role), communications (approximately 30% of the role) and membership (approximately 25% of the role). They will report to the Director of Development and Head of Communications.

You will also be expected to manage the development and implementation of our Individual Giving Strategy and our Individual Giving income stream through single and regular giving appeals, as well as managing a portfolio of challenge events nationally that provides excellent stewardship for a range of participants.  Developing and designing high-quality applications, presentations, and pitches to secure five-, six- and seven figure funding opportunities from Trusts & Foundations, Corporates and High Net Worth Individuals is a key element of this role, as is providing excellent stewardship to existing donors.

We are seeking an experienced fundraising Manager, with the drive and determination to manage all aspects of our fundraising function. STADA has multiple fundraising streams. This entails leading project group meetings, responding to inquiries from various stakeholders, and advocating best practices in event management. Additionally, you will supervise staff and volunteers at events and maintain excellent relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to facilitate effective collaboration throughout the event process.

To be considered, you will bring experience of delivering successful event/project management in a fundraising environment and will have planned and delivered a portfolio of events/projects to meet targets, within budget. You will also have a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with a variety of stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
