This is a permanent, full-time role, paying a salary of £36,563 per annum. This is a homebased position covering the North of England focusing on their key areas in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester.
The Community Fundraising Manager will identify and build long term relationships with key regional contacts in the North - local businesses, organisations and individuals - to encourage financial and long term support for Sense within the region. You will work with the Senior Community Fundraising Manager to lead on the implementation and delivery on the community fundraising strategy in order to generate net income.
Sense are looking for someone with understanding of Community based fundraising trends. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of recruiting, supporting and stewarding fundraisers or volunteers along with demonstrable experience of building successful internal and external relationships.

Your role
As Assistant Shop Manager at Scope's Wakefield shop, you’ll work alongside the Shop Manager, and use your creativity and flair to flourish in our retail environment. Our retail roles are full of variety, and every day is different! One day you might be be generating and processing stock and designing an eye-catching window display. The next day you might be recruiting and training our wonderful volunteers. Every day there will be a different challenge that you’ll find extremely rewarding. You may also deputise and be responsible for running the shop when the shop manager is absent. A great attitude and willingness to learn are just as important as relevant experience.
About you
You’ll be a dedicated team player with a strong work ethic and committed to providing excellent customer service. You do not need specific retail experience. But we do ask that you are business minded and have worked in a fast paced, service environment where you put the customer’s needs first. You’ll also need to showcase a great attention to detail, solid IT skills and have a creative eye for displays. You will also demonstrate an appreciation of Scope’s values and ambition of achieving Everyday Equality for disabled people.

Charity People are working with the fantastic charity DFN Project Search to find a brilliant Corporate Partnerships Manager to join their ambitious fundraising team, helping to bring in an exciting new income stream for the organisation.
DFN Project Search is a national charity committed to transforming the lives of young adults with a learning disability, autism spectrum condition, or both. They do this through working in partnership with companies from across a range of industries in the public and private sectors, schools and colleges, local authorities and specialist employment providers, to deliver a year-long supported internship that helps these young adults transition from education to the world of work. On completing the supported internship around 60% of graduates secure full-time, paid employment compared to the UK average of 4.8%. This provides these young adults with the freedom of choice to lead more happy, healthy, and fulfilled lives, because they have an equal opportunity of financial independence through securing full-time, paid work.
- Corporate Partnerships Manager
- Salary: £40,000 - 45,000 p/a
- Full-Time (permanent)- 9am to 30pm, Monday to Friday
- Home based but within easy travelling distance of London for meetings and events and ability to travel elsewhere in the UK

The Role
This newly formed role will be the perfect opportunity for an ambitious fundraiser to establish a thriving corporate partnerships career; there are significant opportunities to develop existing and new relationships and create transformational corporate partnerships that change the lives of young adults.
The Corporate Partnerships Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and managing corporate relationships, responsibilities include researching and identifying potential partners, generating leads through networking, and preparing compelling pitches. The postholder will collaborate closely with colleagues across the Charity and contribute to the development and implementation of both the corporate partnerships and overarching fundraising strategy.
About you
The role will suit a commercially minded, emotionally intelligent and collaborative person. You will be able to demonstrate experience in building and developing a pipeline of prospect partners, collaboration with key internal stakeholders, and have a proactive approach to new business, possess excellent communication skills and ultimately have the ability to deliver long-term, strategic funding opportunities.

Your role
As Shop Manager at Scope’s Stamford Hill shop, you’ll have autonomy to run your shop using your creativity and flair to flourish in our retail environment. Our retail roles are full of variety, and every day is different! One day you might be generating and processing stock and designing an eye-catching window display. The next day you might be recruiting and training our wonderful volunteers. Every day there will be a different challenge that you’ll find extremely rewarding. You will have relevant experience in retail but a great attitude and willingness to learn is just as important.
About you
As Shop Manager you’ll be passionate about retail and have a love of fashion with experience of running a shop, or you’ll be looking for a management role as the next step in your career. To be successful, you’ll need a commercial, can-do attitude and always put the customer’s needs first. You’ll be a dedicated team player with a strong work ethic, a great attention to detail, solid IT skills and a creative eye for displays. This is a newly created role working within our Fundraising & Communication Dept.
Role summary
Working within our fundraising and communications team, you will support the management of our communications portfolio of work. Maintaining our consistent brand, you will lead on digital and print asset development. You will lead on supporter communications, assisting the rest of the team to raise the profile and bring new supporters into the organisation. You will manage our social channels, website content and newsletter, and developing creative assets and materials for our external work both in the UK and the US.
You will also support on fundraising within the organisation, gaining experience across a wide variety of income generation areas. This will typically focus on applications to small Trusts and Foundations, the delivery of our events and the implementation of our individual giving programme.

Contractual terms
Location: Nine Elms, Central London – current requirement is for staff to be in the office a minimum of two days a week between Tuesday and Thursday

Job purpose
1. Assist the management of Able Child Africa’s brand and external communications, with high quality content.
2. Assist the management of Able Child Africa’s portfolio of fundraising events.
3. Assist the delivery of our individual giving programme, supporting other forms of community and Trusts and Foundations fundraising.
4. Provide other support to the Fundraising and Communications Team as agreed, including supporting routine office operations.
Key accountabilities
Assist the management of Able Child Africa’s brand and external communications, with high quality content.
1. Manage Able Child Africa’s social channels, working with our creative assets and key messages, to maintain a professional and engaging external brand.
2. Support the management a vibrant and responsive website by ensuring content is up to date, professional and engaging; supporting the collection of imagery, videos, case studies and blogs where directed.
3. Produce and distribute Able Child Africa’s quarterly newsletter, contributing with high quality written content and complying with organisational data protection and confidentiality standards.
Assist the management of Able Child Africa’s portfolio of fundraising events.
4. Assist with the delivery of Able Child Africa’s events portfolio when required. This includes but is not exclusive to the London Marathon, the Gala Dinner, and the Charity Golf Day.
5. Market the events, recruiting, retaining, and communicating with participants to support the achievement of income targets.
6. Support with donor stewardship activities post event, engaging new regular donors and supporters to grow our incomes streams.
Assist the delivery of other areas of our fundraising work, including but not exclusive to Trusts and Foundations, individual giving and community fundraising.
7. Support the attainment of funds from a variety of Trusts and Foundations, through submitting high quality applications.
8. Support Able Child Africa’s individual giving programme, assisting with donor communications, building relationships with donors and growing our income.
9. Support community fundraising activities, empowering existing and newly sourced supporters, (including schools, universities and other members of the public) to independently generate funds for Able Child Africa through independent events and activities.
Provide other support to the Fundraising and Communications and wider operational teams as agreed, including supporting routine office operations.
10. Maintain our Salesforce database, keeping detailed records of communications, support and donations from individuals and organisations.
11. Support our advocacy objectives, working with the Advocacy team to produce high quality and consistent messaging for use within the international development sector.
12. Support the delivery of unique and ongoing operational activities as required for the effective running of the organisation.
Competencies
Experience
1. At least one years’ experience in a fundraising or communications support role.
2. Experience of managing or supporting the management of events to, ideally including managing volunteers or supporters to raise funds.
3. Experience or knowledge of managing individual donors with demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders (including public, media and donors) to advance a cause.
Skills and Technical Competencies
4. Creative ability to assist in the production of engaging content for communication in line with the organisational brand and mission.
5. Competency in managing social channels under direction, developing newsletters and other blogs or articles.
6. Basic understanding of WordPress, and other design packages (Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva) desirable.

If you love cooking, people and thinking on your feet, then this is the management job for you. Boaz is a small independent charity that over 100 people a week call their "workplace". Four days a week around 30 people come to the farm to "work and learn together" doing a whole range of horticulture and other jobs such as cooking, craft, animal care and woodwork. As Deputy Manager you will help keep the fun levels high, the stress levels low, and people working harmoniously together. Four days each week you'll lead on cooking a simple vegetarian meal for everyone on site, plus be involved in the general day to day management of the charity. But don't take my word for it, swing by for a coffee and a walk around to get a feel for things BEFORE you apply. Based in a converted cow barn this is a MARMITE job, and we all know that people either love or don't love that spread.
It's a small team, only two other full time staff members working alongside you, but over 50 volunteers coming and going each week and over 30 adults with learning disabilities who spend half days or several days a week working at the project. Each day starts with some "listening and prayer time" where people are encouraged to share and receive prayer if they request it. Then some scripture is shared followed by remembering everything people are grateful for. As Deputy Manager you would lead these sessions when the General Manager is on leave or be on a rota system.
The role is based on-site, Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 4:30.
You get 20 days holiday a year plus Public Holidays to start with, plus additional days for long service.
Pay will be in the range of £28 to £30,000 p/a depending on experience.

Harington is an Ofsted registered specialist college based in North London rated good, working with around 52 young people with learning differences aged 16-25. Our mission is to create an inclusive environment, that delivers outstanding personalised education, learning, and support, which leads to further education, employment opportunities, and a fulfilling life for each of our students.
We specialise in horticulture, retail and general employability. Our students undertake individualised learning programmes and supported internships that lead to vocational qualifications and achieving other aims. We support the wellbeing of our young people through providing mentoring, counselling, enrichment and other one-to-one support.
Our charity has two learning centres in Highgate and Hornsey. We also operate a gardening business and two charity shops, providing income for our charity, work experience placements for our students and employment for 14 young people. We work with local employers and partners to provide work experience and other opportunities for our students.
The Role
We’re looking for a senior fundraiser who is a skilled writer, a strong partnership builder and someone with a passion to improve the outcomes of young people with learning differences. This is a new post and you will have an opportunity to shape the role.
