We are seeking a Fundraiser with a background in lead and income generation with the drive to create change for farmed animals in the UK. You will be part of a small, high-impact team specialising in consumer education and political advocacy to help us grow our supporter base and raise essential income to support our work for animals.

As Fundraiser (Lead Generator), you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission by identifying and cultivating potential donors and supporters. Your primary responsibilities will be to generate leads utilising Engaging Networks on social media platforms and work with the Fundraising Development Manager to build on supporter journeys that maximise conversion rates.

You’ll join us in maximising the value of Engaging Networks, an intuitive, industry-leading CRM which brings fundraising and activism together and provides tools for integrating digital communications. While experience with Engaging Networks is desirable but not essential, you will have experience with CRMs, including reporting and managing campaigns.

Working as part of a highly effective team within a fast-paced environment, the Fundraiser (Lead Generator) will cultivate relationships in the coordination of imaginative and effective fundraising campaigns.

Whilst this position is home-based, it is largely normal office hours, although work outside these times will be required (e.g. relating to stunts, press conferences, talks and events). Time off in lieu will be given as appropriate.

The role will involve:

Lead Generation:
• Develop and implement target-led strategies to identify and engage potential donors
• Utilise various channels, such as Engaging Networks and social media platforms to generate leads and expand our supporter base substantially in 2024

Relationship Building:
• Cultivate meaningful relationships with prospective donors, understanding their interests and motivations for supporting animal rights
• Collaborate with the Fundraising Development Manager to ensure a personalised and donor-centric approach
• Collaborate with the Social Media & Marketing Manager to set up Google Ads campaigns, with ongoing monitoring, making improvements to enhance the quality and quantity of the leads generated

Communication and Outreach:
• Craft compelling messages and campaigns to effectively communicate the organisation's mission and impact
• Represent the NGO at events, conferences, and community gatherings to raise awareness and connect with potential supporters

Engaging Networks Management:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor information in Engaging Networks
• Track and analyse key performance metrics to assess the success of lead generation initiatives

Collaboration:
• Work closely with the fundraising and marketing team to align lead generation efforts with overall fundraising strategies
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a unified approach to achieving organisational goals

Fundraising Expertise:
• At least three years of experience in fundraising within the non-profit sector
• A good working knowledge of direct marketing for donor recruitment, appeals and stewardship across different channels, with a particular focus on digital
• Familiarity with Engaging Networks or similar fundraising platforms

About You:

You will have experience of training and presenting as well as supporting Face to Face campaigns ideally within a third sector fundraising role. Key to this role will be the ability to build, manage and develop relationships. 

Additionally, you’ll be able to run analysis and have experience using Dynamics 365, Raisers Edge or a similar database. 

About The Role

• Provide continual training and compliance monitoring support to our Face to Face partners in the execution of all door, private Sites and events fundraising, this includes leading on developing new opportunities in conjunction with St John events.
• Oversee and collaboratively work with our Telephone Fundraising partners on their training and compliance of all deliverables such as welcome calls, upgrades, reactivations and other fundraising campaigns – includes caller listening
• Oversee regular audits of agents, to monitor against key auditory compliance and performance metrics.
• Manage relationships with our Face to Face partners with training, development and materials, and performance reviews. Monitoring various forms or training and reviewing inductions in line with our agreed contract.
• Build a strong knowledge of all areas of St John Ambulance’s work, carrying out continual research and gathering information, case studies and photos for use in training booklets, scripts and materials. Where appropriate, to liaise with external agencies such as designers and copywriters.

This role will provide strategic oversight and direction for Lepra’s institutional fundraising function to deliver on the restricted and unrestricted income targets. Line managing and leading the Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser in the delivery of the trust fundraising target, and working with the programmes teams in the UK, India and Bangladesh to identify and develop applications to statutory sources and major trusts, leading on the development of detailed project proposals.

The salary for this position is £28,723 (FTE £35,904) – Manager Level, part time (28 hours – 4 days per week). EduSpots is an innovative, dynamic, and community-driven UK and Ghanaian registered charity which connects, trains, and equips voluntary community educators to drive community-led change through education spaces named ‘Spots’. Our vision is of our world where communities unite to create the futures they want to see, through education.

Since 2016, through collaborating extensively with over 250 local volunteers, who take a central leadership role in the development of the network, we have supported 50 communities in creating and running community-led and owned education spaces named ‘Spots’, with a strategy to support them in moving towards our ‘Dream Spot Model’. About this role

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic fundraising professional, with a proven track record of income generation and a strong ability to develop impactful relationships with the skills to bring aligned individuals and organisations into our long-term EduSpots community. The post holder will be creative, passionate and self-motivated, with strong marketing and communications skills, able to design and implement strategic fundraising approaches. 

In this role, you will take on responsibility for identifying, creating and delivering impactful fundraising strategies that enable us to generate further relationships and income in support of our programmes. 

You will oversee the development of our individual giving and monthly giving strategies and further develop relationships with schools, corporate organisations and NGOs, with a focus on resource acquisition (e.g. books, electronic devices) alongside fundraising. You will also play a supportive role in events and campaigns, and work closely with our Head of Communications to ensure our marketing and communications strategy is integrated with our fundraising aims. Currently, we already have a trusts and foundations manager, but would welcome applicants with experience of trust fundraising.

Skills, Experience and Attributes

Essential

• Proven track record of successful income generation from individuals or communities - ideally in a similar education / international development organisation 

• Experience of developing and maintaining successful income generating relationships (e.g. with schools, corporates, individuals, communities)

• Experience of digital marketing to engage new charity supporters / donors (including using paid advertising and innovative engagement techniques)

• Experience of email marketing and donor conversion strategies

• Strong communication and marketing skills, ideally with basic design skills (Canva)

• Ability to work effectively in a remote based role with minimal day-to-day support

The Role

This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis paying a salary of £35,904 per annum. The position can be either fully remote, hybrid or fully based at their Colchester offices.
The Institutional Trusts and Fundraising Manager will provide strategic oversight and direction for Lepra’s institutional fundraising function to deliver on the restricted and unrestricted income targets. The postholder will be line managing and leading the Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser in the delivery of the trust fundraising target, and working with the programmes teams in the UK, India and Bangladesh to identify and develop applications to statutory sources and major trusts, leading on the development of detailed project proposals.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of working in statutory and/or trusts fundraising, including successfully applying for grants in excess of £50,00 to £100,000+. You will have a demonstrable track record of high quality bid writing and production that meet funder requirements.

This role joins our Fundraising Team to inspire members and donors to support Surfers Against Sewage and protect the ocean.

Leading our membership, donor development, and legacy programmes, you’ll help raise +£3mil in total each year as a team, to fund our ocean-saving campaigns. You’ll develop and deliver the membership programme, ensuring members feel valued as an integral part of the SAS community, and communicate the impact of their support.

Taking an insight-led approach, and working closely with our Senior IG & Supporter Engagement Officer (Acquisition), you’ll ensure new members and donors have an exceptional onboarding journey, as well as ongoing stewardship. You’ll also work together to plan and deliver annual appeals, collaborating and coordinating with teams across the charity to raise significant unrestricted income.

You’ll nurture relationships with our legacy pledgers, in-memory and mid-value donors, both reactively and at key moments throughout the year. And in the longer term, you’ll continue developing and marketing our legacy offering.

About the role

You will be responsible for planning and organising a calendar of events for our team to attend, from shopping centres to country shows, high streets to our reserves, and everything in between, so that they can inspire members of the public to become members of the RSPB.

Our aim is to inspire external partners about our attendance at their events or venues. We are looking for someone who is a confident relationship builder with excellent telephone and email manners and communication and negotiation skills. You must have impeccable organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and be able to manage several tasks at once, recording all key details on our CRM database system daily to ensure that our team of Membership Fundraisers have everything they need to attend their events and venues.

You will be part of a successful and energetic team covering the whole UK. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the country. This position can be conducted from home, however, occasional travel, including to a local office, reserve or elsewhere in the United Kingdom, will be required.

Main responsibilities will include:

Prospecting and research

• Research the funding market, tracking and identifying suitable high value tendering, commissioning and partnership opportunities and funding streams, in line with Artswork’s strategic plans, priorities, Fundraising and Social & Ethical Policies

Pratham is one of the largest and most respected education charities in India. We developed a model that can teach a child to read and do basic maths in as little as 30 days for £14. We also have preschool, vocational and women's education programmes. 

We have strong support from the UK Indian diaspora and are in a period of significant growth that has seen us triple in size in three years; we now raise £1.5m a year and have an ambition to at least triple again. Our flagship fundraising event is our annual Gala; we will return to Raffles at the Old War Office this year on 8th November. The gala sponsorship pack is included with the job pack below. The evening consistently raises over £500k; this year, you will support the delivery of the Gala, but next year, you will lead it along with a calendar of cultivation and stewardship events that will help us grow partnerships with major donors, corporates and foundations.

While you will work in a small, fully remote team day to day, you will be part of the global Pratham network. The team in India has over 6,000 staff, and they raise $28m locally. Pratham USA has 14 chapters and produces around 12 galas a year, which contributes to its $30m income; you can share the films and branding of their galas, meaning we can really stretch our budget to put on an outstanding event. 

We are a small team, and whilst an events person is vital for our development if someone wanted to get involved in other fundraising streams, particularly corporate or major donors, we would be delighted to read about it in your application and discuss it at the interview or in a call before the interview—which are welcomed.

All current staff have visited India to see the programmes, and whilst we can't guarantee you a visit as we grow, it remains an ambition. We can offer a level of flexibility on hours, we'd consider someone four days a week, but flexibility and some extra (paid) days might be required around the gala time. Our Executive Director stops for 30 minutes at 3 to pick up his children from school, work patterns that suit you can be considered.
