Willow is recruiting a new Trust Fundraising Officer and Prospectus is excited to lead the search. Willow work tirelessly to provide support and special days for seriously ill 16-40 year olds. This newly created role will work in a hybrid setup from home and the Hertfordshire office.

The Trust Fundraising Officer will manage their own portfolio of trust accounts and will support efforts to research and identify new prospects for the fundraising pipeline. You will be responsible for funding applications to trusts and foundations and will ensure the effective and timely stewardship of relationships is recorded on the database, building lasting relationships with funders at every opportunity.

The selected candidate will have ideally demonstrable experience of raising income from trusts and foundations and will have experience of working in a fundraising and/or charity environment. You will have superb writing skills and will enjoy working to develop compelling arguments and case for support.

The role 

We have experienced an exponential growth in income from public fundraising leading to an increased awareness of fuel poverty. To build on this success and maintain increased unrestricted income from a wider fundraising mix, we are recruiting a new Fundraising Assistant to offer vital support for all fundraising activities. This new role will join a small, proactive team who raise funds from a variety of sources including trust and foundations, corporate partnerships, major donors, events and community fundraisers and individual giving.

As Fundraising Assistant, you will provide admin and fundraising support across the Fundraising and Partnerships Team and excellent customer service to supporters, partners, fundraisers, and internal stakeholders in pursuit of the overall strategy of the Fundraising and Partnerships Team.

What you will need to succeed 

You will have demonstrable experience of working in fundraising, business development, customer service or a similar background.

You will also assist with the implementation of the NEA donor journey and stewardship activities, organisation of fundraising events as required – as well as supporting with donor communication and retention.

With such an array of opportunities you will need to have a high attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and be exceptionally organised.

You should be based in Newcastle upon Tyne or within a commutable distance, with some infrequent travel on an ad-hoc basis.

Hybrid working is subject to necessary H&S and GDPR checks. Post holders must be resident within the UK and be able to provide their Right to Work in the UK.

This is a newly created role working within our Fundraising & Communication Dept.

Role summary

Working within our fundraising and communications team, you will support the management of our communications portfolio of work. Maintaining our consistent brand, you will lead on digital and print asset development. You will lead on supporter communications, assisting the rest of the team to raise the profile and bring new supporters into the organisation. The Fundraising Co-Ordinator will raise the profile and awareness of Young Bristol and working with the Head of Fundraising develop a fundraising work plan to qualify and develop a range of key funding streams. Harington is an Ofsted registered specialist college based in North London rated good, working with around 52 young people with learning differences aged 16-25. Our mission is to create an inclusive environment, that delivers outstanding personalised education, learning, and support, which leads to further education, employment opportunities, and a fulfilling life for each of our students.  

We specialise in horticulture, retail and general employability. Our students undertake individualised learning programmes and supported internships that lead to vocational qualifications and achieving other aims. We support the wellbeing of our young people through providing mentoring, counselling, enrichment and other one-to-one support.

Our charity has two learning centres in Highgate and Hornsey. We also operate a gardening business and two charity shops, providing income for our charity, work experience placements for our students and employment for 14 young people. We’re looking for a senior fundraiser who is a skilled writer, a strong partnership builder and someone with a passion to improve the outcomes of young people with learning differences. This is a new post and you will have an opportunity to shape the role.

The person 

The role will suit someone who has had some prior experience in successfully raising funds ideally from trusts and foundations and/or from community fundraising. Essential skills 

You will have:-

• 18-24 months of prior fundraising experience 

• Experience of successfully prospecting for, preparing and managing fundraising bids and stewarding funder/commissioner relationship

About the Role

This role is an exciting opportunity to work for Mind BLMK as part of the Fundraising & Engagement Team.
