The vital work of the charity is partially enabled by income generated through fundraising; from supporter engagement and community events and activities, as well as philanthropic sources, such as trusts and foundations, and major donors.

As Supporter Engagement Officer you’ll play a key role in helping us to engage new and existing supporters as well as helping to deliver first-class stewardship to retain support and build trust. In addition you will develop appeals and communications that engage and inform supporters which help to raise more voluntary income.

Directly supporting the Direct Marketing and Legacy Manager and working closely with all of the Supporter Engagement team it would be beneficial if you have previous experience or an interest in Fundraising. Being a confident communicator with a “can-do” approach is essential as well as being able to demonstrate proven administrative skills, the ability to manage a varied workload and be highly organised.

We offer flexible working patterns, both in terms of hours and remote working. Please note that all employees are contractually required to work from the office a minimum of 4 days a month.

Some roles may be required to be in the office more often than others and this will be agreed with the hiring manager upon starting at Turn2us.

EduSpots is an innovative, dynamic, and community-driven UK and Ghanaian registered charity which connects, trains, and equips voluntary community educators to drive community-led change through education spaces named ‘Spots’. Our vision is of our world where communities unite to create the futures they want to see, through education.

Our Ghana-based programmes team creates collaborative learning opportunities through three leadership programmes for volunteers: the Ignite, Catalyse and Peer Mentoring Programmes. These enable them to lead EduLit, EduSTEM, EduKidz and Ignite Equity clubs, alongside locally designed education projects, reaching over 10,000 students of all ages annually. About this role

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic fundraising professional, with a proven track record of income generation and a strong ability to develop impactful relationships with the skills to bring aligned individuals and organisations into our long-term EduSpots community. The post holder will be creative, passionate and self-motivated, with strong marketing and communications skills, able to design and implement strategic fundraising approaches. 

In this role, you will take on responsibility for identifying, creating and delivering impactful fundraising strategies that enable us to generate further relationships and income in support of our programmes. 

You will oversee the development of our individual giving and monthly giving strategies and further develop relationships with schools, corporate organisations and NGOs, with a focus on resource acquisition (e.g. books, electronic devices) alongside fundraising. You will also play a supportive role in events and campaigns, and work closely with our Head of Communications to ensure our marketing and communications strategy is integrated with our fundraising aims. Currently, we already have a trusts and foundations manager, but would welcome applicants with experience of trust fundraising.

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

The key responsibilities of this role are to:

• Develop our individual giving and monthly giving strategies, including:

  • Ensuring we have the right tools in place.

  • Strengthening thanking and communications to existing supporters.

  • Trialling new strategies for outreach to new audiences.

• Organise occasional fundraising events (e.g. face-to-face events in London; virtual events and fundraising challenges).

• Support organisation and delivery of appeals and campaigns (e.g. the Big Give).

• Support the development of impactful relationships with schools, universities, corporates and NGOs for fundraising and resource acquisition (e.g. books, digital devices, science equipment). 

• If time and experience, possibly support grant applications. 

• Line manage, and provide support to, the intern/s (fundraising). 

Other

• Ensure all administrative tasks relating to the role are carried out accurately.

• To comply at all times with the organisation's policies, procedures and performance expectations of staff as set out in the Staff and Volunteers Handbook.

Skills, Experience and Attributes

Essential

• Proven track record of successful income generation from individuals or communities - ideally in a similar education / international development organisation 

• Experience of developing and maintaining successful income generating relationships (e.g. with schools, corporates, individuals, communities)

• Experience of digital marketing to engage new charity supporters / donors (including using paid advertising and innovative engagement techniques)

• Experience of email marketing and donor conversion strategies

• Strong communication and marketing skills, ideally with basic design skills (Canva)

• Ability to work effectively in a remote based role with minimal day-to-day support 

• Outstanding interpersonal skills 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• Ability to use own initiative and work to tight and competing deadlines

As Artists & Influencer Manager, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to develop, manage and deliver complex projects in support of Save the Children's campaigns. This is an exciting role where you will get to engage with artists and influencers for various exciting campaigns including Christmas Jumper Day.

You will work with the rest of the A&I team to build a strong roster of high-profile supporters, influencers and ambassadors, stewarding them to become passionate advocates for children's rights, delivering audience cut-through, fundraising objectives and helping build Save the Children's brand.

In this role, you will: 

• Alongside the A&I team, be responsible for identifying and delivering the right blend of high profile personalities to support projects, activities and objectives across PR, digital, events, campaigning, partnerships and other. 
• Spot opportunities and devise A&I activations that raise awareness and visibility of Save the Children amongst key target audiences with the aim of recruiting new supporters and encouraging them to take action. 
• Develop and maintain relationships with current artists and influencers, developing their involvement with Save the Children in creative and innovative ways.
• Target and recruit new A&I supporters, whilst nurturing long term relationships with a view where relevant, to eventual commitment on Ambassador level.  Keep up to date with supporters' broader schedules, spotting new opportunities for engagement as they arise.
• Write and present inspiring proposals for artists, agents, managers and publicists, creating and defining the right pitch for the right potential ambassador.

• Experience of working with digital influencers including building content and delivering activations.
• Understanding of social media landscape, trends and developments and ability to suggest ways to utilise them.

Role Requirements

The Role

You will be instrumental in securing the funding, which the organisation needs to continue to deliver and develop its services, across a wide range of functions and projects. The fundraising strategy contains plans to further develop specific areas of fundraising such as individual giving, corporate partnerships and legacies, and you may be called upon to support the Head of Fundraising in putting plans together for the implementation of these, working alongside the Senior Administrator (Fundraising and Communications).

You will have experience in a fundraising, philanthropy or relationship management role and a track record of success in securing at least five-figure donations from grant and trust funders.

The Environment Investigation Agency investigate and campaign against environmental crime and abuse. The Role

The fundraising team at EIA, is responsible for raising income across trusts and statutory funders, as well as raising funds from individuals. The income raised from public fundraising has increased in recent years and they are investing in this area to further increase unrestricted income so that we can conduct even more investigative and campaigning work to protect our natural world.

It is an exciting time to join EIA, as we embark on a new organisational strategy and a new fundraising strategy. Responsibilities:

* Lead on the production of key supporter engagement pieces, the Year in Review and Supporter newsletters, including: curating the content, copywriting, data, as well as liaising with the mailing house and graphic designer.
* Plan, implement and evaluate digital and offline supporter-driven supporter journeys from all individual giving audiences, including appeals, digital, regular giving and the weekly lottery

New Supporter Acquisition

* Lead on all aspects of supporter acquisition through digital and telephone channels, ensuring that all campaigns are delivered on time, on budget, and meet the campaign KPIs:
* Weekly Lottery acquisition campaigns - promoting to both new and existing supporters, to acquire new lottery players and raise regular income.
* Digital lead generation and acquisition campaigns - to recruit new cash and regular givers
* Telephone fundraising campaigns - to recruit new, and reactivate lapsed, regular giving supporters using leads from a variety of online and offline sources.
