The Internet of Production is a UK charity that brings together a global alliance dedicated to building a future of decentralised and distributed manufacturing. We seek to enable a sustainable and globally networked system of production; to complement mass production and global supply chains with ‘production by the masses’ and local enterprise.
The Global Innovation Gathering is German non-profit association that brings together a vibrant, diverse community of innovation hubs, makerspaces, hackerspaces and other grassroots innovation communities with individual innovators, makers, technologists and changemakers.
The Grant Fundraiser will be employed by the Internet of Production and part-funded by the Global Innovation Gathering.
Grants will usually be £50k to £500k, and larger grants will also be sought in consortia with existing partners in the Internet of Production Alliance and the Global Innovation Gathering. Our funding proposals are usually focused on creating opportunities for others in our networks – whilst maintaining the core of our organisations.

Role & Responsibilities:
- Write and submit grant applications, including narratives and any additional materials (such as detailed budgets, budget justifications, workplaces, monitoring and evaluation plans, logical frameworks, pitch decks, etc).
- Work closely with the CEOs of the Internet of Production and the Global Innovation Gathering (also successful grant writers) and with inspiring networks of visionary experts to design exciting, effective and fundable concepts and projects for grant applications.
- Plan appropriately to best fulfil a pipeline of grant opportunities, where some opportunities may be very short notice and some may require months of co-authoring.
- Assist with seeking out and prioritising potential grant opportunities from around the world.
- Develop a master bid document or other grant application tools and manage and maintain grant application files and folders etc for each organisation.
Person Specification:
- 10+ years of experience in roles that included significant grant writing experience.
- Experience of Horizon Europe grants, research funding or other large consortia grants.
- Exceptionally effective and clear writing style, with excellent English, including when under time pressure. Ability to speak German could be helpful but is not required.
- Understanding or appreciation of issues/sectors including poverty, resilience, climate change, economic development, digitalisation, localisation, environmental sustainability and ‘green’ initiatives, etc, would be very helpful.
- Understanding or appreciation of innovative approaches and technologies, particularly those relating to grass-roots community building, experimentation, co-creation, open-source, networks, Internet, making/manufacturing, creativity, etc.
- Excellent time management, organisational and team communications skills.
- Commitment to working in a small organisation and in a highly diverse team.

Role purpose
We are seeking a skilled individual to join our Fundraising Team as a Trusts and Foundations Officer. You will play a pivotal role in maximising income from grant-giving organisations.
You will work strategically and have responsibility for identifying and approaching trusts and foundations, building a high-quality pipeline to meet fundraising targets and provide excellent stewardship. You will collaborate with teams across the charity and University Hospital Southampton to develop compelling proposals and produce high quality reports.
Main responsibilities
· Manage a prospect pool of trusts and foundations with the aim to secure mid and high value gifts and submit a minimum of six applications a month.
· Proactively identify funding opportunities to build a robust Trusts pipeline.
· Ensure a consistent pipeline movement for prospects within the role's portfolio.
· Drive and develop high-quality and effective funding proposals to Trusts and Foundations, with a key focus on securing multi-year commitments.
· Provide stewardship reports to an excellent standard in collaboration with staff from across University Hospital Southampton. Ensure tight grant management and utilisation with clinical teams for reporting.
· Create solicitation plans for all key relationships which are regularly reviewed at portfolio review meetings. Travel and meet with funders when relevant and necessary.
· Maximise gift opportunities to deliver against agreed targets and objectives.
· Explore starting a small trust mailing programme.
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of including Trustees, charity colleagues, donors, nurses, doctors and clinicians.
· Ensure accurate records are maintained on Southampton Hospitals Charity database.
· Contribute to financial forecasting and income projections and develop annual action plan of application submissions.
- Assist with organising stewardship events for funders and confidently represent Southampton Hospitals Charity at external events and in conversations with funders.

We're looking for a marketing professional passionate about inspiring new donors to join with Tearfund to help people living in extreme poverty fulfil their God-given potential. Is that you?
Our vision is to grow a global community of people who want to enter into a whole-life response to poverty with help from Tearfund. They will be invited to give, pray, campaign, volunteer and make lifestyle changes, according to how they feel challenged to respond. We have a ministry to inspire and help people to live generously – in every sense of the word.
This role will focus the majority of their time on church and community engagement. The team works on an agile basis and there is an expectation that the postholder will develop skills in our four key fundraising domains (acquisition marketing, retention marketing, church & community engagement, legacy & in memory fundraising) and support the execution of marketing campaigns and activities in each of these areas as required.
Key areas of focus in the Church & Community Engagement domain are:
- Engaging church audiences with the work of Tearfund through integrated campaigns using a range of direct marketing, digital marketing and event marketing channels
- Supporting Tearfund's presence at festivals and conferences
- Helping to achieve challenging annual targets for new church audiences in line with UK fundraising strategy
- Project managing new and existing initiatives to help recruit, train, manage and support DIY fundraisers and volunteers
Do you have the following experience?

- Understanding of the UK Christian marketplace from a church and individual perspective
- Multi-channel marketing experience across a variety of media channels including direct mail, press and digital channels

Reporting to the Head of Programmes, Gender and Humanitarian the post holder will identify, prospect and approach new institutional donors, converting them form prospects to secured funds. Ensure the effective delivery of a portfolio of institutional and corporate grants, making sure projects are achieving key milestones and that day-to-day activities are on track. The Programme Development Manager will provide high quality project information to both internal and external stakeholders, extracting and quality assuring project data relevant for reporting, and making sure all projects are compliant with donor requirements. You will proactively manage relationships with existing donors, developing engagement strategies, sharing key information, and laying groundwork for follow-on funding. Finally, you will lead proposals for new and existing donors, coordinating inputs from Hand in Hand International and network colleagues, drafting technical inputs, and engaging with funders where required.
We are looking for an innovative thinker and self-starter with a clear track record of raising funds from and engaging directly with large institutional donors (governments, corporate foundations, etc). Strong experience working directly with FCDO and/or USAID is desirable.You will have exceptional experience managing complex international development projects within an NGO, government, or the private sector. You will be confident working with project management tools such as logframes, workplans, and risk matrices and will have excellent relationship management skills, strong attention to details and an ability to effectively prioritise between competing deadlines and objectives. A working knowledge of Afghanistan, or a background in Humanitarian contexts would be desirable.
