Within the Income Generation Directorate our aim is to maximise resources for the NSPCC's mission by raising funds, providing the best possible supporter experience, and building long-term relationships between donors and our cause.
To continue to deliver our mission we rely on the fundraising support of people across the UK for 90% of our annual income. We are looking to significantly grow our income in new and innovative ways. To acheive this growth, we need the very best team in place to deliver ambitious targets.
The role of Community Fundraising Manager for Yorkshire & Humber is to engage, inspire and develop a network of individuals and local groups who will in turn help generate income through events to support and fund NSPCC services.

Job purpose
· To be accountable for the delivery of a fundraising budget and help grow income to raise vital funds to support the work of the NSPCC.
· To support and steward existing volunteer networks, develop new relationships, and establish new fundraising groups in Yorkshire.
· To increase the NSPCC's local profile.
· To shape and develop the geographical area and local community to establish a tangible relationship with the NSPCC and its work.

· Reports to the Supporter Fundraising Manager (North East, Yorkshire & Humber.)

· Works closely with other colleagues in fundraising to develop supporters, potential supporters and fundraising initiatives.

· Working with NSPCC supporters and organisations, including senior volunteers, Fundraising Group Chairs, Regional Trustees and local partners.
Main duties and responsibilities
· With the guidance of the Supporter Fundraising Manager, devise, agree, deliver and be accountable for the area income budget, managing expenditure appropriately - to enable the NSPCC to plan its activity and services to grow fundraising income.
· To be responsible and accountable for the development of relationships with all supporters and deliver consistent high-quality stewardship and engagement programmes to retain existing and help grow new volunteer groups inspiring them to raise funds
· To identify new opportunities, to recruit and onboard new volunteers and fundraising groups
· To work with fundraisers and staff in other departments to maximise relationships with NSPCC supporters.
· Attend and speak at events and meetings, representing NSPCC when required.
· To complete monthly reports and ensure compliance with policy and procedures including safeguarding and EDI, always adhering to NSPCC values and behaviours.

As Senior PR Manager, you will play a crucial role in raising the profile of Save the Children UK amongst key target audiences, by developing and delivering projects that command media attention and coverage. - Work closely with team members in other departments within Save the Children to provide excellent PR support for delivering Save the Children's objectives
- Develop and execute mass-market PR plans that amplify key strategic campaigns and initiatives across the calendar year, including brand, fundraising and advocacy priorities
- Identify and maximise opportunities to generate reactive media coverage, responding effectively to external events, news and the cultural conversation
- Write, co-ordinate and issue media releases, statements, briefing materials and Q&As, including for high-profile spokespeople and corporate partners, if required
- Develop and nurture close working relationships with journalists (especially those on features, women's, lifestyle, showbiz outlets) across print, digital and broadcast media - including a diverse range of outlets beyond mainstream media

About you
To be successful, it is important that you have:
- Significant operational experience in mass-market PR, as a print or broadcast journalist, or equivalent professional media communications experience
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external contacts across diverse cultures, disciplines and time zones
- Solid experience developing and implementing PR campaigns for corporate clients, including cause-related events, co-branded marketing activity, global campaigns
- Excellent working knowledge of the media landscape – including national broadcast and press, women's, showbiz, tabloid and digital media – with a network of journalistic contacts.

About the Role
The role requires a well-structured and highly organised approach, to ensure delivery and reporting is of the highest quality and a creative and proactive approach, to navigate challenges and hold others to account, when needed. We're looking for a Shop Support Manager! This is an exciting new opportunity to join our brilliant team in our Teddington shop in a brand new role, as part of our ongoing plans to grow our Retail teams and deliver inspiring retail spaces across the UK!

This position is for an initial 12-month fixed term contract.

About the Role
As Shop Support Manager, you will provide focused support on defined areas, working alongside the Shop Manager to understand the shop, community, and proposition.
This is an exciting new role with huge opportunity to impact the success of our Teddington shop, and to act as an ambassador for our brand in the local community!
Working closely with the Shop Manager in our Teddington shop, you'll take on a varied role delivering on key areas of work to enable the delivery of the shop's potential. You'll help embed new processes and ways of working that empower the volunteer team to help the Shop Manager drive the shop forward.
From supporting volunteer recruitment, to taking on responsibility for day-to-day operations or leadership of the shop, you'll provide key support and additional capacity to the Shop Manager to enable the shop's continued success.
About You
You will be someone with exceptional project coordination skills, who understands the importance of community and enjoys supporting people to exercise similar passions through volunteering.
You'll bring:
- Project coordination or operations experience within retail or a transferable setting, e.g. community engagement, volunteer management, retail operations etc.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build & maintain positive working relationships with a variety of people.
- A flexible, positive and resilient attitude, able to work at pace in a fast-moving environment.
- Results driven approach with experience of working to targets.
- Experience and confidence using a range of IT platforms including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), as well as systems for the management of other areas (e.g. reporting, volunteer management).
Previous charity retail experience is not essential. If you have transferable project management experience and are looking for a new challenge, we'd love to hear from you!

You will be a confident communicator who possesses strong written and verbal communication skills including grant writing and public speaking. Proven leadership and team management experience and familiarity with fundraising software and CRM systems is essential for the role. In addition to the technical skills, you will be a personable candidate who has strong team working skills and creative problem-solving skills. You will also be able to demonstrate a strong alignment to the organisation’s values and knowledge of the Muslim fundraising space would be a bonus as you will also be involved in mosque appeals and collections.
