Hours: 35 hours per week (full-time), due to the nature of our work regular evening and weekend work will be required with this role.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

 We are seeking an experienced fundraiser with a passion for our mission to equip our organisation with the financial resources needed to meet our objectives as we work to scale our fundraising by growing our charitable income across all funding streams, maximising supporter engagement and fulfilling fundraising operational duties

This is a new role, joining a small but growing Fundraising and Events Team, and having a real input into our plans and strategies for the future. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the successful candidate will oversee most fundraising income generation activity.

The Fundraising Officer will build positive relationships to secure significant income and develop new relationships with groups, business and individuals, bringing in regular and targeted income through regular donations, fundraising campaigns and events. The ideal candidate will have fundraising experience covering several areas including Individual Giving; Fundraising Appeals/Campaigns as well as experience in managing the operational aspects of fundraising (database, compliance with codes of practice and fundraising regulations, creating fundraising campaigns and ‘asks’). Through this, you will assist the whole organisation in our commitment to showing kindness, raising self-belief, and inspiring hope for the future in the individuals we support. 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Fundraising Overview

1. Develop, deliver, and monitor a fundraising strategy for The Cinnamon Trust.
2. Maximise the contributions and connections with local business and individuals.
3. Coordinate all appeals including The Big Walk across all income and media streams.
4. Research and utilise new fundraising streams and opportunities such as Payroll Giving, Legacies (with help from The Legacy Officer), in Memory Giving and Online Giving.

Supporter Engagement and Stewardship

1. Establish systems, procedures, proactive stewardship, and an engagement programme to provide the highest levels of service to The Trust’s supporters.
2.  To be responsible for thanking all supporters and managing a supporter engagement journey – ensuring that effective processes are in place and driving levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
3.  Act as the ‘first point of call’ for all fundraising volunteers and maintaining excellent communication with supporters throughout these processes, in conjunction with other teams.
4.  Develop and implement Fundraising groups across the UK

Database Management

1. To ensure efficient, appropriate data capture and analysis for the purpose of effective stewardship, fundraising and communications.
2.  Maintain data management standards, assisting with the implementation of processes and policies ensuring best practice is followed.
3.  Train other staff members to support general fundraising.
4.  Ensure all records, fundraising data and fundraising administration is kept up to date and all information is GDPR-compliant.
5.  Reconcile fundraising income with the Finance Manager, including Gift Aid claims, missed, failed payments and Direct Debit cancellations.

 Individual Giving

1. Develop an Individual Giving and Acquisition strategy that drives growth for individual giving across multi-channel campaigns and initiatives.
2. Lead the growth of CT100 monthly giving.
3. Work with the Press and PR Manager on fundraising communication and to ensure donors are kept up to date on the difference their support makes.

Fundraising Appeals and Campaigns

1. Work alongside teams and PR and Communications Manager to promote The Cinnamon Trust.
2. Establish a corporate fundraising strategy with an accompanying narrative, alongside the PR and Communications Manager.
3. Tailor campaigns and appeals for different audiences and supporters alongside PR and Communications Manager to target corporates; smaller local businesses and individuals

Staff and Volunteers

1. Support with recruiting fundraising volunteers as appropriate.
2.  Work closely with Head of Operations and PR and Communications Manager  to ensure all fundraising is coordinated.

Wider organisational responsibilities

1. Read and adhere to all policies and procedures.
2. Lead on applications to charitable trusts or statutory bodies with support from the Head of Operations.
3. Undertake responsibilities associated with being a member of The Cinnamon Trust
4. Perform all the duties required by the post in line with The Trust’s ethos and values statement, its commitment to a policy of equal opportunity and its aim of serving the community in a caring and practical manner.

We’re looking for an experienced individual to join our Community Fundraising team as Community Fundraising Officer, covering our West Midlands hub. You will join us working 35 hours per week on a permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £32,013 per annum plus excellent benefits.

Job Purpose:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Supporter Relations Officer to join our team, based at one of our 21 rehoming centres.

The role of the Supporter Relations Officer (SRO) is to promote the work of Dogs Trust to key audience groups in their catchment area and to support them accordingly. They provide a vital link to the community, stewarding supporters wherever they may be on their Dogs Trust journey. This is done by handling local supporter legacy and Canine Care Card enquiries, as well as in memory donations.

The SRO spends time in the community, visiting local businesses and people, as well as organising community talks to relevant audience groups. They organise supporter events and tours at the rehoming centres throughout the year and are also part of the team organising and attending events with the Dogs Trust Village.

As the role is primarily customer-facing, the SRO is based at the rehoming centre. However, they spend a portion of their time in local communities. This role also involves frequent travel, both locally and across the UK, including some overnight stays, as well as weekend and evening work. A full UK manual driving licence is essential.

The successful candidate will have experience in a public facing role and a passion and commitment to the work and aims of Dogs Trust. They will be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to develop and prioritise their own workload, working well under pressure and to deadlines.

As Forward Action’s Partnerships Officer, you’ll support the Partnerships Director to build and maintain strong relationships with our partners, so we can help them achieve change on everything from climate change to refugee rights.

About the role:
 

The Philanthropy & Events Executive will support our Philanthropy Lead and Managing Director to effectively manage existing match funding partner (“Champion”)  relationships, and help to develop new Champion relationships. You will support with Champion onboarding, stewarding and reporting as well as research, prospecting, and business development activities.  You will also manage events for high-value supporters, and play a key role in helping us grow the number of Champions through our events, such as our annual Big Give Christmas Party and Philanthropy Lunches. 

About you:

You will be an organised self-starter with exceptional personal and communication skills. As a “tech first” organisation, we’re looking for someone with exceptional digital skills, experience in data administration and management and able to collate, segment and analyse donor information.  You will also have experience with CRM systems (experience using Salesforce would be advantageous) and processes to help manage the journey of our match funding partners (“Champions “). An understanding of the UK charity and philanthropy sector would be helpful.

We are looking for someone with varied fundraising, finance, human resources and business development experience to implement a vision for the future growth of the charity with particular reference to improving our buildings and directing the retail and hospitality areas of work.

Do you have previous experience within fundraising or marketing? We have a fantastic opportunity for a Fundraising Engagement Officer to join our Community Fundraising Team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract at the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association!

You'll be at the heart of our fundraising efforts, recruiting passionate supporters and managing event logistics to maximise impact.

Assisting with the delivery of our Community Fundraising strategy, you will focus on marketing our portfolio of Community Fundraising products to ensure we meet recruitment, income and expenditure targets.

You will deliver our campaigns using various channels like digital, telephone, face-to-face and print to spread the word and track progress. Contributing to our social media and promotional plans will also be part of your remit.

Maintaining our community fundraising web pages and providing clear information through our email journeys to support individuals will be crucial. You'll also be required to attend some of our fundraising events, ensuring every supporter has a positive experience both leading up to and on the day.

What are we looking for?

Experience in either fundraising or sales/account management, with the ability and motivation to work to targets.

Experience in devising, implementing, and monitoring systems and procedures, coupled with excellent time management skills.

The ability to research, analyse, and collate data is essential, as is a track record of coordinating projects and creating promotional marketing plans.

SUDEP Action is the only UK charity focused on preventing epilepsy-related deaths. We have the only epilepsy bereavement service freely available to anyone suddenly bereaved by epilepsy (including SUDEP). By representing the voices of those who have died and who are bereaved, we aim to learn from deaths, and use research, policy and campaigns to raise awareness and take action that helps save lives. 

Working both independently and with the wider team you will deliver a high-quality community fundraising service. We’re looking for someone who has worked in a fundraising department and/or similar role before, preferably in the charity sector. Engaging confidently with people and feeling comfortable in adapting your approach to different audiences is a key skill for this role - whether they are major donors, corporates or community fundraisers. This is particularly important as many of our supporters & fundraisers are bereaved.

Building positive supporter connections is at the heart of what we do at SUDEP Action, so setting a positive example of this through your plans and actions, and demonstrating the importance of maintaining strong, personalised supporter relationships is key. You’ll know how to follow processes to record, monitor and evaluate supporters’ engagement with community fundraising activities, so this feeds back into how the charity operates.

Much of the charity’s income comes from our motivated and passionate supporters, so this role is a key part of income generation. The successful candidate will be able to build on current processes and successes to grow our engagement across all fundraising activities, platforms and campaigns. Experience of bid/grant writing would be desirable.
