About the role

About you

Key responsibilities will include:
· Working as a team to deliver a proactive, effective and 24/7 press office, building relationships with identified media and opinion formers, and ensure timely media responses based on organisational and reputational priorities.
· Working with the Campaigns and Public Affairs team to deliver influencing activity to key health board stakeholders, Stroke Association campaigners and the general public.
· Working with the Stories team to identify and deploy the real stories of the stroke survivors we work for.
About You
You will have experience of:
· Generating media coverage in Scotland, ideally in the charity sector.
· Using media to deliver calls to action to the public (eg donating, fundraising, campaigning) and/or decision makers (eg policy change).
· Planning, executing and monitoring media plans against identified briefs and overarching objectives.
· Working alongside Policy and Public Affairs colleagues.
· Creating, posting, and managing social media content.
· Reputation management and working with crisis communications teams.
· Working with colleagues from across an organisation to identify media volunteers (case studies) and developing stories to deliver media coverage.
This role requires occasional travel across the UK to attend team days, conferences and researcher events. Candidates must be able to meet this requirement of the role.

As Hospital Carers’ Lead, you will develop and deliver a new service offer for Lambeth based carers, to increase identification of carers within local hospitals, and improve carer support during their hospital stay and following their discharge. Duties will include supporting unpaid carers while the person they care for is in hospital, via signposting and providing them with information about their rights, offering tailored short term 1 to 1 support, working collaboratively with partners to raise awareness of carers and increase identification and maximising support for carers through effective partnership working and improved referral pathways.
To be considered for this role you will have experience working and/or volunteering in Health and Social care setting and working in partnership with statutory services. You will also be comfortable working in a hospital setting, as well as a fast-paced environment. We are currently searching for a compassionate and dedicated team member for a rewarding opportunity as a Dementia Adviser. The successful individual will have the exciting opportunity to provide support and guidance to people with dementia and their carers in areas of North and East Hampshire; helping to maintain their independence, improving their sense of well-being, and putting them in more control of their lives. Our service is unique to each service user, created upon their personal circumstances and support needs. As a Dementia Adviser, you will offer knowledgeable support and guidance to your clients, that maybe in their own home, out in the community, by phone, letter, or email. You will also assist service users to access other services, providing signposting and referrals. The role will also include occasionally the running of our Singing for the Brain, where you will coordinate a team of
passionate and committed volunteers and a Singing leader.

About you
- We are looking for an individual who possesses ability to assess client needs along with the understanding of the need for client confidentiality.

About the role
Location: Office-Based in our Birmingham Office
Working alongside the Operations Business Support Team Leaders and the wider Operations Business Support Team, this role will be responsible for the delivery of printing services. This will be achieved through the running of a fast paced and reliable Print Room, ensuring that all outgoing documents are printed to a high standard and in accordance with Alzheimer’s Society brand guidelines.
The post will play a pivotal role in ensuring that people affected by dementia receive timely and professional communications from the services they access and that Alzheimer’s Society events and groups have all necessary publications required to promote and conduct their services. The role will also be responsible for the timely digitisation of paper records to enable effective archiving of Society data in line with information governance standards and data protection legislation.
About you
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Alzheimer’s Society staff and people affected by dementia have access to requested resources in a timely manner and to the highest standard.
You will:
- Be a team player, supporting colleagues and who knows when to ask for help themselves.
- Work well under pressure and independently.
- Be confident in using Microsoft 365 applications, specifically MS Teams, Outlook and Word.

Based within the largest directorate in the Society, Dementia Support and Partnerships, the role will form part of a small team of business managers ensuring effective, efficient and compliant delivery of all our activities across all departments and functions of the Directorate.
