Content designer
Do you want to champion best practice in content design across our organisation?
Can you help us deliver life-changing experiences for girls and volunteers with engaging, accessible and user-centred digital content?
We’re looking for a content designer to join our communications and content team. Working closely with our digital department, you’ll help us grow and deliver useful, accessible content for our members, volunteers and parents to help nearly 300,000 girls have fun and adventure.
It’s an exciting time for the organisation as we improve our digital offer, refining user journeys and information architecture across platforms and work to deliver a consistent exceptional experience for audiences.
You’ll help deliver a content audit of our main website, giving you the chance to help shape best practice, as well as design, iterate and test out new content. You’ll also be developing and rolling out our digital content and blog strategy while bringing other internal stakeholders on board.
This role is perfect for an enthusiastic and pro-active person with experience in digital content design, who knows their way around a CMS, has a keen eye for detail and a passion for great user experiences.

We’re a powerful collective voice – with girls, led by girls – changing the world for the better.
Girlguiding values the differences that a diverse workforce brings and is committed to inclusivity, and to employing and supporting a diverse workforce. Location allowance is payable to those who work in accordance with our hybrid working model. We’re committed though to supporting our staff to achieve a good work-life balance and offer flexible working options wherever we reasonably can. All staff are required to carry out our online health and safety training and complete a DSE risk assessment to ensure we can provide the support you require.
We strive to ensure our recruitment processes are accessible to everyone. If you would like to receive any information in a different way or would like support in helping you to apply, please get in touch with us.
