Technical product owner
Are you a passionate and experienced digital product owner? Do you have experience in public or member-facing products, with a deep knowledge of the full software development lifecycle? Does making a real difference give you tingles the same way it does for us?
If so, we want to hear from you and could have an incredible opportunity to work with us and help form part of our digital transformation.
At Girlguiding we’re changing our digital approach to how we make difference to over a third of a million girls and 75 thousand volunteers in the UK. We are proud to be over 110 years old and have constantly been changing throughout our time and we’re now looking at the next steps on this path within our digital strategy.
We’re on the search for an experienced and progressive digital product owner who will help us maximise the value of our digital product portfolio. You will:
· Managing backlogs and iterations in two of Girlguiding’s key digital products, including their quality and priorities, while leading on the full SDLC, including their future decommissioning, archiving, and digital disposal.
· Have a high command of CRM knowledge (preferably Dynamics and Salesforce), champion best practices, and know what great looks like within a changing environment.
· Engage, manage and inspire users and stakeholders to meet strategic objectives.
· Be the product subject matter expert, you’ll be the point of contact, and escalation
· Proactively be on top of user behaviour and to make evidence-based decisions from feedback and insights from data.
You’ll be resilient, tenacious, and comfortable with ambiguity as we work to evolve our digital capability and have a truly positive approach and mindset.
In return you’ll get a warm welcome from an amazing group of like-minded people and the chance to work on products which support us to give life-changing experiences and aspirations.
About Girlguiding
Girlguiding is the UK’s largest youth organisation dedicated completely to girls. We’re over 300,000 Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers, who come together to laugh, learn, explore and have adventures, in communities across the UK and virtually. We're almost 80,000 volunteers who make guiding happen by giving time, talent and enthusiasm. Girls can do anything. We’re a powerful collective voice – with girls, led by girls – changing the world for the better.
Girlguiding values the differences that a diverse workforce brings and is committed to inclusivity, and to employing and supporting a diverse workforce. We are proud to work with a number of organisations who support us to create and maintain a culture that celebrates diversity and champions inclusion in the workplace. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
Girlguiding operates a hybrid working arrangement where office based staff are required to attend the office on average two days a week, or 40% of working time across the year. Location allowance is payable to those who work in accordance with our hybrid working model. We’re committed though to supporting our staff to achieve a good work-life balance and offer flexible working options wherever we reasonably can. All staff are required to carry out our online health and safety training and complete a DSE risk assessment to ensure we can provide the support you require.
We strive to ensure our recruitment processes are accessible to everyone. If you would like to receive any information in a different way or would like support in helping you to apply, please get in touch with us.
