The role

As Financial Controller, you will lead the organisation’s financial management and control environment while supporting longer-term planning and sustainability.

You will:

·       Oversee month-end processes, reconciliations, payroll controls and policies

·       Lead preparation for the annual audit and statutory accounts

·       Maintain strong oversight of restricted income and funder reporting

·       Support fundraising and income-generation teams with financial modelling and funding applications

·       Lead cash-flow forecasting, treasury management and investment oversight

·       Improve finance systems, reporting tools and processes, including identifying opportunities for automation

·       Help improve financial understanding and confidence across the organisation

About you

You will ideally be a qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent, and will offer:

·       Strong finance experience gained within a charity, not-for-profit or similarly complex environment

·       Excellent financial control, management accounting and reporting experience

·       Practical knowledge of Charities SORP and FRS102

·       The ability to translate complex financial information into clear, practical advice

·       Confidence working with senior leaders, Trustees and non-finance stakeholders
