The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is expanding its network of senior volunteers to boost income from corporate and philanthropic sources. 

As our Partnerships and Senior Networks Lead, you’ll play a key role in supporting our income ambitions by cultivating relationships, uncovering new opportunities, and enhancing the charity’s ability to secure advice and support.

BHF’s senior volunteers help us drive income through introductions to their networks, advice around major giving and corporate partnership fundraising, and by advocating on our behalf to high-value audiences. You will manage and support these senior volunteers, oversee key fundraising boards, and facilitate the engagement activities and administration of volunteer initiatives including Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Boards.
 
Additionally, you’ll be responsible for leveraging senior-level networks, including existing committees, boards and the Senior Leadership Group, to grow income, while ensuring insights, network mapping and briefing materials are handled effectively.

This critical role fosters collaboration and drives income growth to support BHF’s mission to save and improve lives affected by cardiovascular disease.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you bring experience managing stakeholder engagement at senior levels (e.g. Trustees, board members, senior volunteers, high-net-worth donors and/or corporate leaders) as well as demonstrable experience in providing secretariat support to boards, committees, or similar groups.

With a background in philanthropic and/or corporate partnerships fundraising, you have a strong understanding of the charity sector and experience in managing communications on behalf of high-profile individuals, such as board members or organisational leaders.

Proactive and self-motivated, with strong organisation skills and attention to detail, you have experience in planning events and other engagement touchpoints for high value audiences and working with external suppliers and contractors to source high quality goods and services.

With excellent written and verbal communication skills, you can build and maintain strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders and manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Working arrangements  

This is 18-month fixed term contract from start date. Start date is as soon as possible.

This is a hybrid role, where your work will be split between your home and at least one day per week, on average, in our London Office. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.

An exciting opportunity has come up to drive forward the vision and development of our burgeoning volunteer-led music and mental health charity. Finance Assistant

Purpose of the role:

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support our Finance function in its day-to-day operations. This role is key to maintaining accurate financial records, supporting payment processing, and ensuring robust financial administration. You will work closely with the Head of Finance and play a critical role in supporting internal processes and contributing to the effective financial management of The Churchill Fellowship.

Key responsibilities:

Financial Processing and Bookkeeping

• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping duties and ensure timely and accurate data entry
• Process supplier invoices and Fellows' grant payments via the purchase ledger
• Prepare weekly payment runs and ensure payments are accurate, authorised and recorded
• Manage and reconcile credit card transactions and receipts
• Manage the Finance@ inbox, respond to queries, and escalate issues where appropriate
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions, including bills, payments, and expenses

Bank and Account Reconciliations

• Reconcile all bank accounts on a monthly basis
• Reconcile credit card accounts monthly and ensure supporting documentation is complete

• Support monthly income and expenditure reporting to assist internal financial monitoring

Registers and Schedules

About Us

We are a passionate, grassroots charity dedicated to rescuing stray dogs from local authority pounds that are at risk of euthanasia after their statutory 7-day holding period. As such, we operate a non-selective intake and take dogs of all breeds and temperaments.

About the Role

This role will directly impact our ability to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs more efficiently and effectively. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the welfare and rehoming success of our dogs. Reporting to the Canine Programmes Manager, you will conduct full and written behavioural assessments, develop tailored behaviour modification plans, and deliver hands-on support to dogs in our kennels, foster homes, and adoptive families. You will also build capacity across our organisation by training kennel staff, volunteers, and stakeholders, and support our outreach efforts to keep dogs in loving homes within our local community.  You will be responsible for ensuring our dogs are ready for homes faster, adopted quicker, and retained in loving homes longer. The successful candidate will be organised, animal-passionate, and have recent relevant experience in dog rescue and rehoming work.

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct thorough behavioural assessments for all dogs entering our care.

· Develop and implement evidence-based behaviour modification plans.

· Provide ongoing behavioural support to foster carers and post-adoption families.

· Maintain accurate, up-to-date behavioural records for all dogs.

· Deliver training and mentorship to kennel team, volunteers, and other stakeholders.

· Support our new community outreach programme by offering in-home or remote behavioural advice

· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure behaviour plans align with welfare goals and rehoming decisions.

Headway Gloucestershire was established in 1987 and since then we have been working to make a positive difference to the lives of adults with an acquired brain injury. We provide specialist recovery support and respite through our centre based Day Service and outreach support through our Community Links Service. We provide group and one to one sessions to support individuals.

Open every weekday, Headway House is at the heart of Headway Gloucestershire.  We provide a structured programme of activities for individuals to choose from. Our programme is designed to support participants to work toward their own recovery goals and gain insight into strategies that support individuals to manage the physical, cognitive, sensory, emotional and behavioural outcomes which can occur following an acquired brain injury. Peer group sessions enable us to harness the recovery benefits of peer contact and support.

We have been successful in receiving three years of funding to deliver services in up to five locations in Gloucestershire and are recruiting a part-time Support Worker to support the delivery of our Hubs – to meet and support the recovery needs of individuals with acquired brain injury in their community. The Support Worker will be responsible for the delivery of group sessions designed to support individuals with acquired brain injury work toward their recovery goals. Responsibilities include: -

• To deliver professional, impartial, enabling and outcome focused support to Individuals with acquired brain injury. To provide support for clients with complex needs to support their recovery, wellbeing, independence and autonomy.
• Supporting the Hub Lead to schedule, develop and deliver sessions.
• Provide Key-working to individuals: - to use an enabling approach to support individuals to plan and work toward their recovery goals ensuring that planned activities are delivered and support is tailored to meet the needs of each individual survivor to maximise our contribution to their recovery.
• Providing cover at Headway House where required.
• Ensure that safeguarding training and understanding is kept current and that individuals are safeguarded.

Primarily carrying out the role in community Hubs, you will work to clearly established quality standards. You will be joining a motivated and dynamic team of staff and volunteers working to making a difference to individuals with acquired brain injury in Gloucestershire.

Manchester Mind has worked with Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust for a number of years to deliver roles within Community Mental Health Teams in Manchester. Social Workers are a vital part of the team and we are advertising for two roles in different teams within Manchester. The post-holders will work within integrated, multi-disciplinary teams employed by Manchester Mind but managed on a day to day basis by Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust.

As a Social Worker, you are a crucial member of the team. You would be proactively supporting and care coordinating a caseload of people with mental health problems and

Manchester Mind has worked with Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust for a number of years to deliver roles within Community Mental Health Teams in Manchester. Social Workers are a vital part of the team and we are advertising for two roles in different teams within Manchester. The post-holders will work within integrated, multi-disciplinary teams employed by Manchester Mind but managed on a day to day basis by Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust.

As a Social Worker, you are a crucial member of the team. You would be proactively supporting and care coordinating a caseload of people with mental health problems and

complex needs.

The two full-time roles would be within the North CMHT and the South Mersey CMHT.

This role involves working with people across all of Barnet’s diverse communities. Therefore, we’re looking for people with a demonstrable commitment to the social model of disability and equality, with their own direct lived experience of disability, and an ambition to contribute to a fairer society for all.

The successful candidate will spend their time delivering a frontline welfare benefits triaging service with the support of a senior caseworker. 

To succeed, you will need experience of advice work which includes using a benefits calculator and signposting. The role also involves managing our telephone and email inbox into the advice service and obtaining feedback about the service from clients alongside initial advice giving. The role could include some short-term casework including concessionary travel claims when capacity allows.

You will need excellent communication skills and be unphased by people presenting with multiple issues, often in emotional distress. You’ll be excited by the challenge of learning new things and have a good knowledge of the services used by disabled people.

This is a home-based role, with some travel around Barnet needed, approx. 2 days a month. Most of the triaging work can be completed online or over the telephone, but there may be a need for some face-to-face client work from time to time. You will therefore need to live within a reasonable travelling distance of Barnet. Some travel to other venues in London may also be required, for example for staff away days or other meetings.

Supporting over 750 children and nearly 1,000 families annually, Acorns Children’s Hospice is a vital lifeline for families across the West Midlands and Gloucestershire during unimaginably difficult times.

Palliative care for children aged 0–18 is delivered at Acorns’ hospices in Birmingham (serving Birmingham and Warwickshire), Worcester (serving Herefordshire, Worcestershire, and Gloucestershire), and Walsall (serving the Black Country and parts of Staffordshire and Shropshire), as well as in family homes and other community settings. We’re looking for an experienced Trusts fundraiser to provide maternity cover and hit the ground running. You’ll take on a robust pipeline and inherit relationships from a portfolio that includes multi-year partnerships with major funders such as Children in Need and John Martins. 

Working closely with a highly experienced and supportive peer, you’ll enjoy a shared, balanced portfolio and the space to focus on great fundraising. With a responsive Data team, access to strong stories, and excellent internal buy-in, this is a rare chance to build on solid foundations and deliver high-impact work. We’re looking for someone with a proven track record in writing successful 5- and 6-figure bids, excellent storytelling skills, and confidence in translating data into compelling narratives.

As Fundraising Manager – Trusts and Foundations, you will:

• Take on a well-established portfolio of trusts and foundations with a combined value of c.£850K, delivering a mix of templated and bespoke applications
• Collaborate closely with a peer Trusts Manager, sharing responsibility for monthly submissions and stewardship
• Maintain and build relationships with existing funders, ensuring excellent reporting and donor care
• Work cross-functionally with the Data, Marcomms, Finance, and Care teams to develop strong cases for support
• Support joint cultivation and engagement events alongside the Philanthropy team

Ideal skills and experience:

• A strong track record of securing 5- and 6-figure grants from trusts and foundations, including multi-year funding
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging across formats and word counts
• Comfortable managing and interpreting impact data, financial information, and project detail
• Highly organised and efficient, able to manage a busy workload with autonomy
• Collaborative and supportive team player with a donor-centred approach

This is the perfect role for a strategic and creative thinker with excellent skills in email marketing and stakeholder management. You’ll be a talented copywriter, and be adept at building strong working relationships and advising colleagues on email best practice.
