Purpose of Role: As an IDVA/Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker, you will play a pivotal role in providing support and assistance to individuals affected by domestic abuse across the Surrey area. Your primary focus will be on offering practical advice, emotional support, safety planning, and risk assessment to empower clients to make informed decisions about their future.
Specific Duties:
- Conducting direct work with clients, utilising sensitive listening and questioning skills to understand their situations and assist in setting priorities.
- Providing practical help, advice, and emotional support to enable clients to navigate their options, including safety planning and risk assessment.
- Encouraging clients to access relevant services such as legal aid, financial assistance, housing, and medical treatment through appropriate referrals.
- Negotiating with third parties and accompanying clients to meetings or court proceedings as necessary.
- Addressing the impact of domestic abuse on children and advocating for their protection.
- Facilitating client integration into the community and organising group work sessions when beneficial.
- Participating in Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences and assessing clients for referral to support schemes.
- Maintaining accurate client records and fulfilling monitoring requirements.
- Upholding organisational aims and principles, staying informed about relevant policies and procedures, and participating in awareness-raising events.
- Collaborating with other organisations and agencies in a joint or multiple approach to client support.

Complex Needs Worker: Women Experiencing Homelessness
Our client, a leading homelessness charity based in London, are looking for a Complex Needs Worker to work in a complex needs service for women experiencing homelessness in south London. Due to a rise in female rough sleepers, and the need to safeguard the most vulnerable in society, a new female only rough sleeper service has been commissioned to provide support and ongoing casework to vulnerable women engaged at the service with the aim of rehousing clients into more independent accommodation. Clients will be referred to the service via homeless assessments services, street outreach teams and other referral pathways.
Candidates for this role will need:
- Experience of working with the homeless and ideally complex needs women and the challenges the specific client group face
- Experience of working in a homeless assessment capacity
- Resettlement experience and knowledge of housing options

About the Role:

Wirral Youth Zone, named "The Hive" by local young people, has been serving the young people of Wirral since opening in April 2017. The Hive is an inspirational charity, employing exceptional youth workers and an army of volunteers. It changes the lives of thousands of young people each year, delivering social impact on an incredible scale.
The facilities are state-of-the-art and second to none, delivering over 20 sporting, artistic, cultural, and recreational activities each session when schools are closed (evenings and weekends), plus throughout the school holidays. The building itself and facilities on offer are the initial hook for young people, but the real magic happens inside with a fully qualified, highly skilled youth work team who support and empower young people to overcome challenges and reach their potential.
About the Role
Working within a small fundraising team, the Partnerships and Event Fundraiser will make a significant contribution to securing a legacy for thousands of local young people through the generation of new income. This income generation is broken into two programmes: the Community Fundraising programme and the SME Corporate Partnerships programme, both of which you'll be involved in. As Partnerships and Event Fundraiser, you'll be working across a number of projects and events to engage with businesses about creative ways in which they can support the Hive Youth Zone.
The Community programme will encourage the local community to fundraise for the Hive through approaching schools, groups, and associations, and recruiting participants for events. The SME Corporate Partnerships programme will encourage businesses to donate up to £1000 through initiatives such as Charity of the Year applications, staff fundraising initiatives, and recruiting support from smaller local businesses. You will also support and inspire existing corporate partners as part of your role.
About You
This role is a perfect opportunity for a fundraiser, with a proven track record of securing funds via community and corporate fundraising, to set up a new Community programme at the Hive. We are also very much open to candidates from a sales, marketing, and account management background, as well as candidates with events and projects experience. To be successful in this role, you will have experience meeting financial targets, and managing a pipeline of potential supporters/donors/clients.
You'll be a strong networker and relationship builder, with the ability to communicate effectively, understanding what drives donors. You'll be results-driven, ambitious, with creative thinking and a strong sense of teamwork. Most importantly, you will believe in the power of excellent youth work.

Our client supports people who are homelessness across Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch. This is a new service that starts in June, so this is an exciting opportunity to be part of the set up and implementation of this team.
They have a new and exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join them to manage a team of recovery and night workers which deliver Housing First services to people who are homelessness and rough sleeping who have multiple and complex challenges.

You will have a calm and personable manner and be resilient to potentially difficult situations.
Some of your duties will include:

Supporting your team to achieve their potential through regular staff supervision, coaching, training and induction

Holding a small caseload of clients when required

Managing staff annual leave, planning rotas and organising cover for absences ensuring adequate cover at all times

Working flexibly where needed, and be part of the rota

Empowering your team to work flexibly when engaging with the hard-to-reach clients

Ensuring an effective and timely response to all complaints and safeguarding issues taking appropriate action

Attending meetings and representing the service to key stakeholders

Increasing presence of service in the local area to help win tenders and maintain current contracts

Liaising with accommodation providers to develop an excellent working relationship

Working flexibly across all areas of operation where required and prior notice given
What you will bring:
Management experience is desirable however not necessarily in this sector. What you will have is a real passion for wanting to work with people who are homeless.
You will receive support and training in understanding the key principles of Housing First but some prior research and understanding of the support model is desirable.

You will need to hold a full driving licence with access to a car as you will be required to work flexibly across Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch locations.
