About the role

The Welfare Scheme Assessor will be a part of a small, but committed team with big ambitions that works cohesively and effectively together to get things done.

You’ll be an important and valued member of the team and, with the support of North Lincolnshire Citizens Advice, will be responsible for ensuring client focused outcomes are met in a pressurised environment.

You’ll be the first point of contact for residents applying for support from the welfare assistance scheme. You’ll offer applicants a holistic assessment designed to maximise household income, reduce expenditure and build greater financial wellbeing.

You’ll enable people to move as quickly as possible to problem resolution and to manage their essential needs so they are less likely to fall into debt and manage cost of living increases.

You’ll be responsible for making decisions on applications for financially based welfare support and will administer funds to households who would otherwise struggle to buy food or pay essential utility bills or meet other essential living costs.

You’ll enable people to take control of their financial wellbeing and signpost them to local statutory services and community groups that provide practical, social and emotional support.

To lead the development and delivery of Rewilding Britain's digital communications output, to inform, engage and activate audiences in support of our charitable aims.

Objectives of the role: 

Social media

• In line with our organisational objectives, lead on building our profile, reputation and engagement on social media with key audiences.

• Plan and deliver inspiring and effective social media content, including as part of engagement campaigns, fundraising appeals, and initiative launches, and in support of our partners and members. 

• Ensure that Rewilding Britain is using the best possible tools and techniques, by drawing on your own knowledge of the digital landscape and trends and staying up to date with changing trends.

• Guide colleagues across the organisation to capture and create social content in order to maximise opportunities to engage others with rewilding

Email marketing

• Develop and deliver a schedule of email marketing for the organisation, including for fundraising and political engagement campaigns.

• Optimise email marketing by A/B testing content regularly to maximise performance and by making design and content improvements as the digital landscape evolves. 

• Use audience segmentation in support of campaigns, drawing on data from our CRM.
   

Website content & maintenance

• Work with the Content Manager and other team members to create new and updated web content in line with the Content Strategy, that is engaging, accurate and on-brand.

• Ensure web content is optimised for SEO and usability, advising and training staff on best practice.

• Contribute to team efforts to enhance the website as an engagement tool, including liaising with agencies where relevant. 

Other

• Track, monitor and report on digital activity to prove impact and maximise effectiveness. 

• Oversee/brief colleagues and freelancers, where relevant, to deliver discrete pieces of digital content for Rewilding Britain's channels.

Essential skills, experience and behaviours

Experience

• At least three years' experience in a digital management role in a comparable organisation, overseeing digital communications to further organisational objectives. 

• Proven experience in managing social media channels in a professional role.

• Experience in producing and optimising email marketing (ideally using Mailchimp).

• Experience in managing and optimising website content.

• Familiarity with Google Analytics and digital monitoring tools.

• In-depth experience and understanding of current social and digital communications tools, landscape and trends.

Skills

• Excellent writing, editing and communication skills.

• Skills in creative content developments, such as video and photo editing, ideally using Adobe Creative Suite.

Terms and conditions and staff benefits

This role is as maternity cover (9 months with possibility of extension).

This is a full time 5 day (35 hour) a week position, but we are open to a conversation with candidates who are seeking a role of 28-35 hours a week.

There will be some freedom for the person to determine their own working arrangements each week, within limitations, providing the work is delivered.

About the role

The Events Officer plays a key role in our highly effective communications team, leading on the delivery of an impactful programme of events – both online and in person. The role works with teams from across the organisation to plan, deliver and promote all types of events, including workshops, roundtables, conferences, webinars, receptions and other types of online and in person events.

Events are an important way for Ageing Better to influence priority audiences, including businesses and local and national government, and the postholder will advise teams on how events can best reach these audiences, encourage engagement and lead to lasting relationships.

This role sits within the Communications team, and the postholder will be responsible for drafting comms content, such as blogs and social media posts, particularly in relation to event promotion.

St Christopher’s Learning Support Team are looking for a part-time (2 days) Senior Learning Mentor for the London Region to cover the London Accommodation Pathways  (LAP) and other Services we provide.

About the Role

The Learning Support Team offers support to Teams helping young people to develop core skills – both practical and academic, widen their existing interests, and explore new ideas. You will be involved in delivering group and one-to-one sessions, Maths and English tuition, tailored to individual needs; working with the rest of the team around the young person to ensure all our young people are provided with appropriate access to education engagement.

We believe everyone has a right to learn in the way that suits them best, so there is no such thing as a typical anything about this job. Sessions can take place anywhere from the beach to the kitchen via the garden and the gym. As with all the other teams and services the unexpected is every day in this job –but with us that can take any one of a range of unanticipated directions, someone gets excluded, in the transition of a School place, an emergency placement by someone suddenly turns up or doesn’t as the case may be.

We are also looking for people to join our bank of sessional staff – a bit like being available at short notice, like Supply or doing some overtime. Events coordinator

· Time commitment: 80% to 100%

· Contract type: 6 months Fixed term contract (mid June – mid December)

Job Purpose: To support the CHS Alliance secretariat to ensure it delivers professional external events that meet the needs of our key audiences and advance our strategic goals, on time and within budget. Primary focus of this role will be the coordination and logistical management of the General Assembly in December 2024.

Background: The Events Coordinator role sits within the Network Engagement and Communications department and works closely with staff across the CHS Alliance, including those working on CHS outreach, HR/Governance and the Executive Director, on events organisation and delivery.

Main Responsibilities:

Event coordination

1. Coordinate the team and workplan to support smooth and timely delivery of key CHS Alliance events, with particular focus on the General Assembly (GA) taking place in Bangkok 5-6 December 2024.

2. Prepare and attend event working group meetings (e.g. set agenda, organise doodle polls, book conference rooms, take notes, etc.) 

3. Overseeing and updating the event workplan (e.g. gannt chart), flagging upcoming milestones and deadlines to event lead

Event logistics

4. Assist in identifying service providers by providing quotes and completing any other tasks requested by the line manager or event lead.

5. Procure supplies for event and ensure all material needed on site is prepared and up to date.

6. Follow up with the venues; liaise with the venue prior to, during and after the events.

7. Assist with all logistical aspects linked to catering, refreshments, room equipment (incl. audio visual), stationery, signs and identification (badges, etc.), and trip booking (hotels, flights, visa) where required, etc.

Communications & IT

8. Set up events on relevant platform (e.g. Zoom, CHS Alliance website)

9. Prepare and update registrations and participants’ lists

10.  Draft and send communication materials to participants, using software like Mailmerge or Mailchimp

11.  Assist with speaker outreach and briefings as appropriate.

12.  Manage the Alliance’s Zoom account as an administrator

Reporting and monitoring

13.  Monitor and report on project progress and related expenses according to the CHS Alliance financial policy and procedures.

14.  Manage and maintain an external events calendar for the CHS Alliance, to assist staff with horizon scanning and scheduling.

15.  Carry out any other relevant activities as required.
