The Role
You will be instrumental in securing the funding, which the organisation needs to continue to deliver and develop its services, across a wide range of functions and projects. About this role
The Digital Acquisition Officer is a key member of the Mass Engagement team and part of the wider Development team. The Mass Engagement team exists to raise awareness of Reprieve’s work, shift public opinion and to inspire support. The Role
Proactively submit tailored fundraising applications to a wide range of charitable trusts, corporate foundations, National Lottery and statutory bodies, to fulfil the team income of c1m.
Continue working with a very warm pipeline, with many bids in progress and over 330k secured already.
Work with the Director of Communications and Fundraising (Director) and/or the Head of Fundraising as appropriate.
Manage and support the Trust and Foundations Officer, who oversees the smaller trust programme, empowering them to develop, grow and contribute to the overall strategy.
The Candidate
Proven experience of writing successful and compelling proposals and applications to Trusts and Foundations and securing multi year funding.
Experience of working across an organisation to develop fundraising bids and reports, ideally within a campaigning charity.
Demonstrable experience in strategic planning and budgeting.
Ability to undertake high quality research to identify potential trusts and foundation prospects.

The research communications and engagement team at Breast Cancer Now makes breast cancer research accessible and engaging to everyone. Its aim is to highlight the value and impact of research and build continued trust and support for the charity.
You'll use your science communication expertise to bring our research to life. You’ll create content covering Breast Cancer Now’s research aims, progress, and achievements for a variety of channels including our social media, website, fundraising and print publications. You’ll work with members of the brand, marketing and communications teams, and digital teams to make sure research content is engaging and drives brand awareness and support.
About you
To succeed in this role, you’ll understand the impact of research and scientific communication for charitable organisations. You’ll be able to translate complex scientific information and tailor it to a variety of audiences. And you’ll use your excellent writing and verbal communication skills to interpret and present scientific and statistical information in creative and meaningful ways.

Primary location of role and hybrid working
This role is primarily based in our Cardiff/Glasgow/London/Sheffield office. However, our hybrid working model allows full-time staff members to work up to 3 days per week at home.

Samaritans is on a mission to make a profound impact on suicide prevention and they need a new Senior Philanthropy Manager and their expertise to drive the philanthropy programme to new heights.
The Senior Philanthropy Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership to the Philanthropy programme to enable a step change and growth in income. Working with the Assistant Director of Business Development, you will lead on all major donor acquisition, cultivation and stewardship programmes and involving Samaritans Senior Leadership Group and Income Heads of Teams where appropriate. You’ll provide superb line management to the Philanthropy Officer and ensure there’s an integrated, collaborative approach to donor work with other team members in the Income department.
The selected candidate will have substantial experience of fundraising with a strong track record in major gift fundraising and experience of personally soliciting gifts of five and six figure gifts from major donors. You will ideally have experience working with mid-value programmes and a proven track record of managing key relationships at a high level.

The successful candidate will have experience of planning and delivering income growth and will have produced communications and/or fundraising plans in the charity sector. You will ideally have brand managerial experience as you will be line managing three members of a high performing team. The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) has a clear mission to enrich lives through orchestral experiences. Performing approximately 200 concerts each season and with a global live and online audience of more than 60 million people, the Orchestra acts as a cultural ambassador for the UK on the world stage, whist also enhancing the social and cultural fabric of local communities through a wide range of community, education, diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing programmes.
The successful candidate will be a resourceful development professional with an established network within the Trusts and Foundations community. Working closely with the Head of Development, the Trusts and Foundations Manager contributes to, and implements the Trusts and Foundations strategy to maintain and develop existing relationships, whilst proactively identifying and approaching new and innovative funders.
Attention to detail and the diligent stewardship of the RPO’s existing relationships are of paramount importance. The role requires excellent writing skills, experience of structuring persuasive cases for support, and securing significant grants from a broad range of trusts, foundations and grant making bodies.
