The Camden Short Breaks Team, as part of the Children, Young People, Families and Engagement service at Centre 404, delivers person-centred homebased and community-based outreach support for children and young people with a learning disability.

Centre 404 is seeking a dynamic and organised Short Breaks and Family Engagement Manager to lead the development and delivery of engaging activities, workshops, and support services for children and young people with disabilities and their families. Based in North London, this role involves coordinating short breaks and family engagement activities across boroughs including Islington, Camden, Tower Hamlets, Haringey, and Enfield, in line with local authority contracts and community needs.

 Responsibilities will include:

•  ·Planning and delivering workshops, forums, well-being sessions and social events for families
• · Developing outreach programmes to engage family carers
• · Supervising volunteers
• · Using creative and tech skills to promote activities and monitor success
• · Building strong relationships with families, local services and professionals
• · Managing referrals and support plans for children and young people
• · Overseeing a team including supervisions, appraisals and team meetings
• · Maintaining accurate records and administration

An awareness of the challenges and safeguarding needs of people with learning disabilities and/or Autism and their family carers as well as a knowledge of relevant local/national policies, legislation, and current issues affecting services for our families will be essential.

We will also be looking for an understanding of person-centred planning approaches, including Short Breaks, ENCP, PBS, and support plans and a working knowledge of CQC standards and their application in delivery.

As CFG's Policy Officer you will make an impactful contribution to CFG's policy and advocacy work. Working with a wide range of stakeholders, including policy-makers, charity members and corporate partners, you will contribute to the smooth running of the Policy Team's work and effectiveness. You will be comfortable using your research and analytical skills to ensure CFG remains at the forefront of its advocacy work on behalf of its members and the wider sector. You will have a passion for getting to grips with complex policy issues and bringing people together to engage with them. As a member of the Policy and Communications Directorate, you'll work alongside the Communications Team and other colleagues to ensure our policy work is shared with a range of external audiences. JOB PURPOSE

1. Provide  a  professional  high-­quality  VAWG  advocacy  and  outreach  service.

2. Undertake  casework  and  advocacy  (this  will  include  liaising  with  relevant  professionals  and  agencies  such  as  solicitors,  social  workers,  police  officers  etc.) 

3. Provide  practical  support  such  as  accompanying  women  to  appointments  and  courts,  making  reports  to  such  agencies  or  collecting  belongings  and  otherwise  taking  all  necessary  steps  to  ensure  the  general  safety  and  wellbeing  of  women  and  children. 

4. Write  assessment  reports  and  support  letters,  and  under  supervision,  help  to  collect  evidence  and  statements,  as  well  as  undertake  some  basic  legal  representation.

5. Undertake risk assessments for referral to the Multi-­Agency Risk Assessment Conferences  (MARACs) 

6. Establish  links  with  key  partners  [local  authority,  police,  health,  schools,  etc.]  to  ensure  effective  referral  routes  and  information  sharing  protocols.

7. Assist  in  developing  and  meeting  quality  standards  in  relation  to  advice  and  casework.  This  includes  administration  and  IT  systems  for  advice  and  casework. 

8. Cover the helpline as required.

9. Assist migrant women to access immigration advice, and assist in meeting their housing needs.

10. To  undertake  campaigning  and  policy  work  arising  from  the  advice  and  casework  (this  may  involve  some  weekend/evening  work)

16. Ensure  women  are  referred  to  S4S  projects  and  activities  as  required  for  example,  counselling or group work.

17. Support women residing in the refuge as required.

18. Be  self-­servicing  and  to  assist  other  workers  when  required. 

19. Undertake  any  additional  duties  which  will  contribute  to  the  smooth  running  of  the  S4S services  and  projects.

GENERAL  DUTIES  AND  RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Contribute  to  the  smooth  running  of  the  project  and  activities 

2. Assist in maintaining high standards in all aspects of the organisations work; including conduct with colleagues, external agencies and service users.

As Senior Grants Manager, Environment and Communities, you will identify, assess, and manage grants that contribute to these evolving areas of interest. 

A particular focus of the role will be developing strategic grants and partnerships that contribute to Environmental Sustainability.  This is a developing area of interest, supporting activity that restores the natural environment and enabling practices such as nature friendly farming and community growing.  Current grantees include the Sustainable Food Trust, the Wildlife Trust, and local farmer clusters.  

The Foundation has recently launched a ‘Green Fund’ pilot, supporting Buckinghamshire grantees to deliver progress in environmental sustainability.  The role will lead on the delivery of this programme.

As well as developing relationships with external stakeholders you will also closely collaborate with colleagues, making connections between grants and activities at Waddesdon Manor.  In particular, working closely with the Rothschild Foundation’s Sustainability and Conservation Department and the Education & Learning Department.

The role will also support the development and assessment of grants to the Rothschild Foundation’s Community Fund which is open to not for profit organisations in Buckinghamshire who support local communities, with a particular focus on disadvantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic development of our Environment programme, including current explorations in community growing, nature friendly farming and nature restoration.
• Leading on the delivery of a ‘Green Fund’ pilot, supporting grantees and funded activities.  This will include working closely with the Evaluation and Impact Manager and Operations Manager to review the programme and make recommendations for future delivery to Grants Committee
• Maintaining an overview of the portfolio of ‘Environment’ grants, sharing learning and identifying connections across grantees
• Keeping up to date on sector development, identify funding gaps, and emerging opportunities.
• Identifying and supporting potential applicants, conducting visits, guiding proposal development, and ensuring due diligence standards are met
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with grantees, conducting six-monthly catch up conversations, visiting funded activity and acting as a ‘critical friend’
• Supporting the delivery of our Communities funding, including assessment of applications to the Community Fund and occasional Trustee related community grants
• Producing regular updates for Trustees, including project updates and data insights, and contribute to creative ways of sharing the impact of our funding

The Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is a key senior member of the finance team and will help shape the strategic management and direction of the team. They will support the Director of Finance and Operations, Senior Leadership Team, Trustees and budget holders to understand and interpret IIED’s finances and play a key role in the long term strategic financial planning process.

Context for this role

This is a pivotal moment for FAST as the need for our work has expanded due to more young people falling into poverty and struggling in schools. Whilst capacity is a challenge with 60% cut in public youth programmes over the last decade (YMCA 2020). We are still growing strong and are able to work with 300 young people annually. However, our desire is to continue this work of establishing and growing a healthy youth organisation that provides excellent & vibrant youth work that makes a difference to young people’s lives and produces healthy staff that are equipped and empowered to do the job they love. Therefore, the need to grow our team is quite pressing. We are in search for someone with experience leading youth work and developing a healthy organisation who can help strengthen our work here in very significant ways, with a particular gifting in thinking strategically and working hard to get results.
