Family Support Worker

We are looking for a Family Support Worker to act as a keyworker delivering packages of support with children, young people, and whole families to prevent escalation to more intensive services.

Position: Family Support Worker (5 positions available)

Location: Harborne/Community Based (the families you will be supporting will be based in Edgbaston & Northfield. This is an outreach position and you will be expected to be based in the community)

Hours: Full-time and part-time hours available

Salary: £26,430 per annum pro rata for part time

Contract: Permanent

The Role

Through undertaking an Early Help Assessment and by working with families in a person-centered way, you will help people on your caseload to make positive changes and to develop the skills to manage their issues in the future.

You will work within the Early Help Locality multi-disciplinary team to provide a timely and front-line response to the needs of children, young people, and their families, acting in accordance with local policies, procedures and priorities. 

Key duties include:

• Work in partnership with other practitioner/professionals, children, young people, and their family. 

• Work within a multi-disciplinary and professional integrated Early Help service to provide a timely response to the needs of children, young people and their families.

• Deliver evidenced based interventions.

• Provide a timely response to the identified needs of children and young people. 

• Promote and use an Early Help Assessment framework.

• Be responsible for a high standard of case recording. 

• Engage with children, young people and their families and actively promote their participation in assessments and support plans.

• Manage and prioritise an allocated caseload.

The Head of Finance will primarily have responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities. You will have direct responsibility for the finance function.

FINANCE MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Purpose

The Finance Manager will proactively plan, manage and oversee the financial strategy, operations, and compliance of our dynamic and growing organisation. The role contributes directly to the organisation’s strategic planning and has hands-on oversight of financial transactions, operations, compliance and reporting.  

As the Finance Manager, you will be a member of the Executive leadership team working closely with the CEO on matters of financial strategy and business development - contributing to strategic decisions and providing financial guidance.You’d also be supported by the Finance Manager Assistant and the Bookkeeper.

Main Objectives

• Provide leadership, in-depth knowledge and financial expertise to support the organisation’s strategy, business development and operations. 
• Manage the day-to-day financial operations including payroll, payments, controls and cash flow to ensure sound financial management and accuracy around all financial routines and procedures. Also ensure compliance and accurate reporting.
• Lead on and manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting - working closely with the CEO.
• Lead on enhancing procedural efficiencies and streamlining in finance operations.
• Prepare statutory and management accounts. Manage the annual financial audit and implement recommendations.

Financial Planning

• Lead on financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.

Financial Management

• Ensure compliance with all requirements and standards in respect to Insurance, Companies House, Charities Commission and HMRC.

Accounting

Payments and Payroll

People Management

Under the direction of the CEO at Headway Gloucestershire, you will work alongside clients with complex needs to support their recovery, wellbeing, independence and autonomy, working towards agreed goals and recording key outputs and outcomes. This might include:-

1. Providing brain injury recovery information and advice, working with compensation situations and making referrals to clinicians and health providers.

2. Maintaining tenancies by assisting with paperwork, organising payment plans, negotiating with landlords or mortgage providers.

3. Form filling for welfare benefits, housing applications, blue badges and bus passes etc.

4. Supporting people to access resources in their local community including leisure, education, volunteering and employment opportunities.

5. Supporting people to attend appointments and meetings when relevant.

6. Working with other informal and formal support providers.

We provide specialist recovery support and respite through our centre-based Enablement Service and outreach support through our Community Links service.

About the role:

This Best Companies Top 100 mid-sized company and Top 20 charity is looking to appoint an Executive Assistant to provide proactive and efficient administrative and operational support to the Senior Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees, whilst observing the strictest confidence. This is a part time job share role, working 3 days per week.

We are looking for a Finance Officer at Cruse Bereavement Support. You will assist the Finance Team in maintaining accurate financial records of the charity. The work will involve processing sales orders and invoices, customer receipts and credit control. The role also includes completing bank reconciliations, processing expenditure and liaising with suppliers to ensure the account statements are accurate, and preparing accruals and prepayment schedules.  This is a unique opportunity to gain experience at a national charity and help make a difference.
