General Overview of Role

The post-holder will be responsible for writing bid applications within Combat Stress. This will include:

• Support the development and delivery of Combat Stress's bid writing under the leadership of the Director of Fundraising (DoF) and Head of Trusts and Foundations (HTF), in order to support our role as a specialist UK-wide provider of mental health services to veterans with complex mental health needs.
• With guidance and support from DoF and HoTF contribute to the various stages of a bid or tender process.
• Support the team in managing service contracts.
• Ensure compliance with the business development framework and governance processes - with support from DoF and HoTF.

Main Duties and Key Responsibilities

• Complete bid writing in support of the business development agenda of Combat Stress, working with all departments in promoting our services to attract new business and supporting cost-effective service delivery.
• Contribute to our revenue generation agenda by owning and contributing to bid documents such as mobilisation or communication plans.
• Support the assessment of the healthcare market within which we operate, to ensure we are best placed to achieve growth and have the appropriate strategies to mitigate risks
• Support the development, monitoring and delivery of business developments plans, systems and processes in line with our strategy and targets
• Work across departments in order to adhere to the full service specification of the bid or tender.
• Work with the DoF to develop existing partnership arrangements and to develop the case to support new service and business partnerships, commercial ventures, and creative contract solutions to further our strategic aims.
• Manage the "bid/no bid" process to lead our responses to ITTs, lead on bid writing and project management of bid submissions
• Produce reports and proposals, including spreadsheets, involve bids for additional funding from commissioners.
• Review and refine all business development processes and templates to maintain "fit for purpose"

Contract Management

• Assist with the development, monitoring, management, and review of contracts.

Communication

• Contribute to the communication strategy within and external to the Charity
• Support the team on any other projects as requested by the DoF

General responsibilities

• Ensure data collection in general is kept up to date, in accordance with legislation and the policies of the Charity, and incident reports are completed in accordance with the policies of the Charity.

Risk Management

The role

The Refugee Housing and Move-On Advisor will be responsible for providing an effective and holistic housing support service to Afghans housed in transitional accommodation. The Officer will provide advice, assistance and support to Afghan households to understand their housing options and to search for suitable and affordable properties in the private rented sector in order to prevent and relieve homelessness.

The service will be provided through a combination of workshops, drop-in clinics and targeted one-to-one and group outreach support sessions.

• Experience in delivering a high-quality service supporting positive outcomes for relocated individuals or families who speak English as a second language
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to use appropriate discretion to address complex situations

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & income generation 

· Trusts & grants: Research, write, and submit compelling funding applications to trusts, foundations, and grant-making bodies to secure new and repeat funding.

· Corporate & individual giving: Work alongside Service Delivery Manager and Deputy Service Manager to develop relationships with corporate sponsors and individual donors, creating engagement opportunities.

Are you an experienced manager with a sound knowledge of financial management procedures, HR and governance?

We are looking for a savvy and adaptable finance and business operations manager to support our charity with financial management, HR operations, governance and office management.

You will be an experienced manager with strong all-round finance capabilities, driven to ensure robustness and efficiency across all elements of our finance, HR and governance in a busy charity setting.

About the Youth Endowment Fund

We’re here to prevent children from becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to change things.

In recent years, violent crime involving children has increased. This is a tragedy. Every child is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.

The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment that exists to prevent children from becoming involved in violence. We will achieve this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice. A big part of the movement that we need to build is in the world of health. We need to inspire and connect with health leaders across Integrated Care Services (ICBs), Local Health Boards (LHBs), Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and other relevant parts of the system. We need to spread what works and make our country safer for some of our most vulnerable children. We are looking for someone to lead on making this happen.

Key Responsibilities

We are making progress building the evidence of what works within and around health services to reduce violence. But the big risk is that nothing changes. That’s where you come in. Your role is to identify the best way to make change happen within relevant health services. Your main responsibilities will be ensuring that:

• Developing great relationships with senior policy makers, sector leaders and experts, including representing YEF in external meetings and speaking at events.

First-hand knowledge of the system that supports highly vulnerable children, particularly those at risk of or involved in violence. This includes children with conditions such as conduct disorder, psychosis, substance use disorder, ADHD, developmental language disorder, and traumatic brain injury. You understand the barriers these children face and what it takes to get them the right support.

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern:

This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) exists so nobody in Scotland suffers or dies because medical help cannot get there in time. People can get sick or have accidents anywhere and anytime. But in Scotland there are places where urgent medical help cannot reach people. Or help gets there too late. And when lives are at risk every minute matters. As a charity we rely on donations from the Scottish public, companies and communities to ensure that urgent medical help gets to the patient when it is needed, wherever they are and at whatever time of day.

The Role
As part of our ongoing strategy for growth and national impact, SCAA is seeking a motivated, strategic and creative individual to take ownership of our marketing and communications function — helping raise the profile of the service, strengthen brand visibility, and support our ambitious income goals. The Marketing and Communications Manager will be responsible for the strategic oversight and development of SCAA’s brand, marketing and communications function. They will lead and manage a small in-house team as well as external consultants and contractors, as required  — ensuring that all content, campaigns and communications align with our brand, engage our audiences effectively, and support organisational goals across fundraising, awareness and supporter engagement. With a strong focus on brand management, digital growth, and content oversight, this role will ensure that SCAA’s voice is consistent, compelling and clearly connected to our ambition that no one in Scotland should die because help cannot get there in time.

This role will be based either in Perth, at Scone Airport, or at our Aberdeen base at Aberdeen Airport, where our emergency response helicopters and operational crew are located.  The usual hours and days of work will be Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, however this role may involve occasional evening or weekend work, as well as the occasional requirement to provide media on-call cover. SCAA also supports flexible and hybrid working arrangements. 

As part of a dynamic, purpose-driven team, you will work closely with fundraising, operations, senior leadership and frontline crew — ensuring our communications reflect the life-saving impact of our work and inspire support across Scotland.

About You:

• Previous experience in a marketing and communications management role.
• Demonstrable expertise in digital marketing, including website optimisation, SEO, email marketing and paid social.
• Hands-on experience using key digital tools such as Google Ads, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and Google Tag Manager (GTM) to manage, track and evaluate performance.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and overseeing campaign delivery and creative production.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and segmentation tools to support targeted communications.
• Experience working with external agencies and creative suppliers.
• Experience of working within budgets.
• Proven ability to lead on brand development and ensure consistency across teams, platforms and outputs.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence across an organisation.

What the job involves 

We have an exciting opportunity to join our sector-leading Community Fundraising team as a Community Fundraising Executive.

We’re an ambitious charity with a bold mission and fantastic culture. As a key member of the Community Fundraising team, you’ll work alongside the Community Fundraising Managers, Executives and Co-ordinators to achieve the exciting growth plans in our new 3 -year fundraising strategy.

In this role, you’ll take the lead on our DIY walking and cycling fundraising activity, which currently raises over £750k each year. You’ll be responsible for providing outstanding relationship management for our fundraisers, ensuring every supporter feels valued, motivated and proud to be part of our community.

Using data and insight, you’ll spot trends, identify new opportunities and help shape fresh, creative ideas to grow income and improve the supporter experience. You’ll also lead on development projects, like designing new supporter journeys, working closely with teams across the charity to make sure our fundraisers are inspired and supported every step of the way.

What we want from you

We’re looking for someone with knowledge and experience of working in a fundraising environment – ideally within a community or events context. You’ll have a proven track record of delivering brilliant supporter experiences, building genuine relationships and stewarding fundraisers through their events. You’ll understand the importance of meeting supporter needs and how to keep them inspired and connected to the cause.

You’ll bring excellent organisational skills and experience of planning and managing projects with multiple stakeholders, making sure we hit our KPIs and maximise fundraising income. With knowledge of how to plan, deliver and evaluate marketing activity, including digital campaigns on Meta, you’ll be comfortable finding ways to engage new supporters and keep them motivated.

A forward-thinker and natural problem solver, you won’t be afraid to use your initiative and analytical skills to spot opportunities for improvement and help shape new ideas. You’ll have experience developing, or supporting the development of, annual fundraising plans and budgets, and delivering against these to meet targets.

Clear, motivational communication comes naturally to you, whether it’s writing to supporters, updating colleagues or reporting on results. You’ll also be confident using databases to keep accurate records, analyse data and share insights that help us grow.

The Role

We are seeking a highly capable and motivated Deputy Director to lead our quality assurance work and play a central role in shaping and delivering cross-sector projects. You will oversee the management and strategic development of the Advice Quality Standard (AQS) and collaborate closely with the Director on broader organisational and policy initiatives.

You’ll represent ASA at external stakeholder meetings, manage contracts and project teams, and act as a senior leader within a small and dynamic team that is passionate about access to justice and social welfare.
