Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist the Assistant Director and Director, International Fundraising, with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Fundraising Events Department

• Plan, organise, manage, and attend fundraising events held by PETA and PETA entities

• Exercise a lead role in overseeing aspects of PETA and PETA entity fundraising events, both in-person and virtual

• Ensure that event projects remain on schedule and deadlines are met

• Develop relations with event vendors and negotiate contracts and costs to ensure the best possible value

• Analyse data and evaluate events in order to implement strategy to improve event effectiveness

• Oversee the production of invitations, mailings, acknowledgement letters, awards, and other event-related materials

established international membership organisation and charity committed to the
development and maintenance of the highest possible standards in forensic and legal
medicine.
The specialty covers professionals working in the following disciplines: forensic medical
practitioners (forensic physicians, forensic pathologists, forensic psychiatrists, forensic
odontologists); medico-legal and dentolegal advisers; clinicians working in secure and
detained settings and medically and legally qualified coroners.
Introduction

The FFLM is tendering for accountancy services. We are a registered Charity (1119599).
FFLM prepares its accounts in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 and Accounting
and Reporting by Charities Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities
preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in
the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102).

Bidders must demonstrate experience in preparing and advising on accounts compliant
with this framework.

Our financial year runs from 1 January to 31 December. Our annual turnover is between
£800,000 and £1.1M and an overview of our finances is available in our 2024 financial
report.

We employ a Finance and Membership Manager and a Finance Administrator to manage
our day-to-day income and expenditure. We are tendering for an accountant to provide
support to our Finance Team and help us to meet our legal obligations regarding financial
matters.

As our turnover passed £1M, we are now subject to annual independent audit, which is
currently carried out by MHA. We will require an accountant to support the FFLM in
preparing accounts and other documents for this purpose.
We are a small organisation, with 4.7 FTE staff members and support an organisation
funded by the Home office, the Institute for Addressing Strangulation (IFAS) which has 3.9
FTE staff.

IFAS is a Home Office funded initiative which leads national work on the recognition,
response, and prevention of non-fatal strangulation and suffocation. It functions as an
internal programme of the FFLM, operating under its governance and financial
management structures. All accounting, reporting, and compliance responsibilities for IFAS
are handled within the broader framework of the FFLM.

Our staff work entirely remotely, and we do not maintain any office space. Due to our size,
we need our accountant to provide proactive advice and support, be readily available and
provide excellent customer service.

Barnardo's are recruiting a Single Point of Access (SPA) Administrator for our exciting innovation research programme Generation PMTO (Parenting Management Training Oregon) service delivered in the UK for the first time.

Barnardo's approved for this 3 Year trial introduction of an innovative parenting programme (Generation PMTO- Parent Management Training Oregon) into the UK. Well tested around the World although this is the first time it is being trialled in the UK. The programme is for parents of children aged 8-14 who may be susceptible to serious youth violence if the parents are not given support. The programme is built on a strength based, solution focused, positive parenting model giving parents the tools to be the change makers in the family.

This is a three-year trial that will require flexibility and energy from the entire team, the project is evolving, and the team are currently in the pilot stage. The partnership is complex, involving three boroughs, the Ending Youth Violence Lab, Barnardo's, and GEN PMTO. A significant amount of time will be dedicated to liaising with various partners and borough stake holders, coordinating meetings, and establishing agreed ways of working.

Working in close partnership with the parents, the GEN PMTO trainers, the funders (Youth Endowment Fund), the evaluators (Ending Youth Violence Lab) and three boroughs chosen to trial the programme (BRENT, Tower Hamlets and Barking and Dagenham), we will focus on building stronger families and improving children and young people's life chances.

The post holder will be an integral part of the team to ensure smooth operational and business underpin. The role will require a good level of the following skills and abilities, do you have?

About the Role:

As Fundraising Manager, you will support the Director of Fundraising in implementing our charity's strategy across trusts & foundations and corporate fundraising. The Role

Active Together is a multimodal prehabilitation and rehabilitation service that has been developed by world leading academics and practitioners at the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre (AWRC) at Sheffield Hallam University and funded by Yorkshire Cancer Research.

Supporting the Head of Active Together, as our Services Manager – Active Together Hull your role will be to establish, implement, manage, and support the continuing improvement of the prehabilitation and rehabilitation service for cancer patients at the newly developed Active Together centre in Hull. Acting as the non-clinical lead, the role ensures the service is safe, effective, and aligned with the Active Together service design while delivering value for money for the charity.

In addition to overseeing service delivery, the post holder will be responsible for managing the facility itself, including offices, consultation rooms, and three gym studio spaces. The role provides line management of the Service Administrator and supporting the Lead Fitness Instructor, ensuring efficient operational support for the service. Additionally, the post holder will organise and manage the onboarding process for new Yorkshire Cancer Research colleagues, ensuring a smooth transition into the service.

The role involves close collaboration with Hull University Teaching Hospitals (HUTH) clinical staff, working alongside the Service Clinical Lead to ensure an integrated approach to prehabilitation and rehabilitation for cancer patients.

Specifically, you will:

Leadership & Service Management

· Oversee the launch and ongoing management of the Active Together prehabilitation and rehabilitation service in Hull, ensuring smooth implementation and continuous improvement.

· Work closely with HUTH clinical staff, fostering strong collaborative relationships to ensure effective patient pathways.

· Partner with the Service Clinical Lead to maintain alignment between clinical and non-clinical aspects of the service.

· Lead collaborative working across the service delivery team, maximising colleagues' skills, ensuring clear direction, and maintaining high-quality processes.

· Collaborate with the Digital Teams at Yorkshire Cancer Research and at HUTH to manage and develop IT systems that support the safe and effective delivery, monitoring and evaluation of the service, including telephony, hardware, and software.

Line Management & Administrative Leadership

· Provide line management of the Service Administrator and any other administrative support colleagues, ensuring clarity in responsibilities and professional growth.

· Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, set clear objectives, and support colleagues in achieving their goals.

· Ensure efficient administrative support, covering scheduling, patient coordination, and facility management.

Evidence, Research, and Development

· Oversee data generation to support service evaluation and research.

· Ensure all service-related data is accurate and submitted in a timely manner.

· Gather patient experience insights in Hull through PPI work, patient satisfaction questionnaires, and qualitative evaluations, feeding into service improvement initiatives.

Facility Management

· Oversee day-to-day operations of the Active Together Centre, ensuring optimal use of offices, consultation rooms, and gym spaces.

· Ensure facility safety, compliance, and upkeep, liaising with building management as needed.

· Manage procurement and maintenance of essential equipment and resources to support service delivery.

· Lead on the management of contractors and service providers (including but not limited to, shredding, printing, office greenery).
