- You will be responsible for creating and developing engaging and inspiring marketing campaigns for our Do Your Own Thing audience, and helping us to maximise opportunities to raise income with new and existing supporters.
- You will develop and deliver our National Collection campaign, working with key stakeholders across the charity to engage our loyal fundraising volunteers.
- We need you to develop excellent supporter journeys that maximise opportunities and builds long term relationships.
- You will need to be a skilled communicator both written and verbally to ensure all stakeholders are engaged and inspired.
- You will be personable team player, a strategic thinker and have a track record of developing and delivering marketing campaigns to a variety of audiences.
- You will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to effectively manage and prioritise your time.
About the Team
You will be part of the Help for Heroes Community Fundraising Team, who work together to build support in the community to secure donations and build long time partnerships with community organisations / supporters and volunteers to deliver the annual community fundraising budget year on year. You will report to the National Senior Fundraising Manager and work collaboratively across the charity to drive income to support our veterans and their families.

The Role

The role
The role is a 12 month fixed term contract and sits in our people team, supporting the charity by providing a professional, comprehensive and proactive recruitment service. To work closely with the HR advisors, the HR coordinator and as necessary, the HR and organisational development manager, to support recruitment and selection-based projects.
As the first point of contact for all recruitment related queries from recruiting managers and candidates, you’ll be responsible for uploading vacancies and supporting information onto our online advertising platforms and manage recruitment activity as a key user of our recruitment applicant tracking system (ATS). Our Helpline runs from 9am to 7pm Monday to Friday, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic, warm and experienced individual to support our dedicated Helpline Volunteers and Befriending Volunteers within the Helpline team.
This role requires working flexible hours, including 9am–5pm, 10am–6pm or 11am–7pm between Monday to Friday to meet services and volunteer needs (3 days a week).
If you’re passionate about offering high quality information and emotional support and have relevant Helpline experience, we’d love to hear from you.
You will be providing continuous support to all our volunteers at the Helpline team, directly contributing in providing information and support to our Helpline enquirers, with both proactive and reactive content and information on prevalent topics or trends affecting the MS community.

About the role

This is a home-based role, with local community engagement and home visits to service users. Alzheimer’s Society strive to help people to maintain independence, improving their sense of well-being, and putting people in more control of their own lives. Our service promotes a person-centred approach so that our support is unique to each individual, based upon their own aspirations and needs. We provide information and support in people’s homes and at locations across Cornwall.
- Offering a vital and compassionate advice service to support and guide those affected by dementia.
- Provide community based, face to face services for an increased level of support for more complex cases across Cornwall.
- Managing referrals, assisting clients in assessing their information and support needs in a person-centred manner.
- Providing knowledgeable and trusted information regarding services and benefits available and, where appropriate, assist clients in accessing them.
- Signposting clients to a choice of suitable other sources of help, where appropriate.
- Developing a proactive approach in reaching people with dementia and carers who may not otherwise access our services.
There is no direct care element to the Dementia Adviser role, however we work passionately to provide advice, support and guidance to people affected by dementia. This role will support people who have received a Dementia Diagnosis and help provide the tools and knowledge to make informed decisions about their future post diagnostically.
About you
We are looking for a highly motivated individual, with an understanding of dementia, and the needs of those affected. The successful candidate will be approachable and knowledgeable to join our passionate team.
- A passion for supporting people to maintain their independence, improve their sense of well-being, and help them take more control of their lives
- A solid and compassionate understanding of the needs of people affected by dementia
- The ability to work inclusively with people affected by dementia, along with an understanding of the need for client confidentially
Great communication skills, adapting your approach to ensure understanding at all levels - Effective networking and influencing skills and the ability to manage your time effectively.
- Good IT skills and experience working with databases and virtual meeting software (e.g., MS Teams and Zoom)

This is an exciting role for an individual starting their career in direct marketing, supporting the planning, delivery, and analysis of integrated campaigns through a range of products and channels which aim to maximise giving from existing supporters and attract new supporters to Kidney Research UK.

Alongside the individual giving manager, you will also be responsible for planning and delivering campaigns such as our Christmas catalogue, advent, and gift aid direct mail, ensuring they are delivered within the expenditure budget.
We are looking for someone creative, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to coordinate and multi-task. You will be numerate and analytical, well organised with a flexible approach and an excellent team player. The individual will be proficient in Microsoft applications.

About the Role
The Community Fundraisers steward relations with Individual fundraisers, schools, community groups, in memory and challenge eventers.
