We are looking for an organised, proactive and enthusiastic Project Coordinator to join us here at the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR).

This role will play a crucial role in the success of our technology projects, ensuring all projects are effectively scoped, estimated, planned, communicated and managed. In order to achieve this, the post-holder will own the project standards that others will have to deliver to.
In addition to working closely with teams across the business, you will also have the opportunity to work with third-party suppliers to ensure that they are meeting the aims of the project.
What you’ll do:
- Ensure key stakeholders prepare business cases for investment in technology and software to agreed standards, advising them on process and changes or additions to business cases.
- In collaboration with the business lead, manage the development and delivery of technology projects, ensuring that it meets RCR’s required standards and supporting successful implementation.
- Ensure plans, risks and finances associated with project delivery are tracked as required and made visible for governance and portfolio management purposes.
- Use feedback and research to recommend improvements to RCR’s IT project management processes, implementing agreed changes.
- Support the Head of IT in the day-to-day management of invoices and of the IT budget, ensuring that spend is accounted for and managed according to RCR’s guidelines.
- Manage, administer and schedule regular board meetings. Follow up actions agreed in the board meeting, in partnership with the Head of IT.

- Effective interpersonal skills, including ability to provide support and guidance to colleagues across the RCR to both business and technical teams.

What will I be doing?
Management of CRUK's Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) accreditation and all associated policies, processes, risk assessment and staff training required for its maintenance
Developing and implementing processes captured within documentation across the Cancer Intelligence Team, including the delivery of training to and assessment of staff to ensure high level and consistent knowledge of processes for handling sensitive/confidential health data
Writing, updating and/or collating all relevant documentation required for successful submission of officially recognised data security accreditations
Identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies, including the maintenance of a data asset risk register
Providing technical support for applications to acquire data for the Cancer Intelligence team (including both regular updates of official statistics, and bespoke extracts of patient and other data that may require Research Ethics approval or equivalent), ensuring these applications meet the requirements of our data suppliers
Leading on logistical aspects of acquiring data, including tracking requests, and anticipating and resolving potential delays
Identifying potential and actual system bottlenecks; and assisting the Data Liaison Manager to bring about improvements in access to patient data
Providing regular management information about data acquisition processes for the Data Liaison Manager and Head of Cancer Intelligence
Responsible for ensuring that data are transferred, stored and accessed as prescribed in Cancer Intelligence Information Security Management System policies.

About the role
The Quality Assurance Lead will be responsible for ensuring effective and appropriate testing of new or modified applications, assisting the delivery of high-quality internal and externally-facing systems and digital experiences at Parkinson’s UK.
You will develop the charity’s QA capabilities and frameworks, provide testing advice, design test strategies and plans, and provide hands-on testing for high risk projects and product releases. You will be responsible for the management of testing resources and ensure that projects have the access at the right time.
You’ll collaborate with the other professionals to develop complementary practices across the solution development life cycle, establishing quality assurance standards and nurturing good practice across the organisation.
What you’ll do:
- Establish and embed processes, standards and templates for all testing work, including functional testing, system integration testing, regression testing and support subject matter experts with user acceptance testing.
- Develop an organisational QA strategy and operating model that aligns with demand and resources risk appetite.
- Continuously improve our test practices, seeking to build a community of practice with peers in the field.
- Determine functional and non-functional testing required for new projects or product improvements, liaising with business analysts, project and product managers to ensure that testing is properly catered for in delivery plans.
- Support the shaping of solution requirements, acceptance criteria and exit criteria so that testing is built into solution development from the start.
- Plan, design and execute the testing phases of the high risk projects and releases. Support the fixing of issues with re-testing and regression testing.
- Develop and manage test capacity and manage contractors as needed.
- Develop our test analyst and coach others in the organisation to understand and implement good QA practice.
What you’ll bring:
- Recognised testing certification (e.g. ISTQB Foundation) or equivalent experience of the fundamentals of software testing.
- A strong record in leading the design and execution of software testing and working with the business to deliver UAT. Experience with agile testing and agile development is beneficial.
- Experience with a risk-based approach to test coverage for product releases and projects. Experience with test automation is beneficial.
- Experience of delivering the end to end test process from analysis, design and implementation and execution and the creation of high quality test artefacts
- Ability to understand both the technical aspects and business/user needs to define and deliver effective black box testing.
- Leadership and team management skills
- Comfortable using digital tools to work collaboratively and in a hybrid work setting.
- An understanding of the non-for profit sector is beneficial.

Cherry Lodge Cancer Care is an independent charity committed to improving the quality of life for people living with cancer, their carers, family, and friends.
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Cancer Information Specialist Nurse, and are seeking an experienced, flexible, and dynamic NMC registered nurse to join our team.
At Cherry Lodge, we work alongside the clinical care of the NHS in an area centred on Barnet and covering much of North London and South Hertfordshire. We are based at the very friendly and welcoming Cherry Lodge Centre, in Union Street, Chipping Barnet. We also have an Outreach Service with an impact across the borough of Barnet, concentrating particularly on providing information and support to members of black and minority ethnic groups. Our Befriending Service provides additional support for people in their own homes.
Job Purpose:
To act as a specialist information resource for the management of people with cancer, their carers, and families.
To co-ordinate, manage and develop the Cherry Lodge Cancer Care (CLCC) information service by providing assessment, information, support and signposting to people visiting and telephoning the centre. Oversight of interventions and therapies delivered, ensuring the person with cancer/carer/family experience of support feels seamless and is transparent.
To work proactively with primary and secondary care and voluntary sector partners to promote Cherry Lodge Cancer Care and build awareness of the support available for people living with and beyond cancer. This will include further developing relationships with local cancer care providers including the North London Hospice and North Central London Cancer Alliance.
Contribute to the coordination of the day-to-day running of therapy and complementary therapies delivered at CLCC, including mentoring of junior staff and volunteers as necessary. Working in close partnership with the Volunteer Co-ordinator and Befriending Service Lead.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Information/Service Provision
To ensure people with cancer their carers and families/friends gain access to the information they require by providing the following services:
1. To provide one to one sessions where assessment and planning ensures people are able to discuss all information aspects of their illness (symptom management, treatment, and living with cancer).
2. Provide support, access to therapies and signposting to other local services and support services.
3. Provide appropriate psychological support throughout the cancer diagnosis, treatment and follow up pathway, as appropriate and identified by the person with cancer.
4. Facilitate and support nurse/therapy led groups
5. Act as the person with cancer’s advocate, particularly where informed discussion may affect care management options, by ensuring robust links with secondary care Clinical Specialist Nurses.
6. Deliver support, information, and education to promote self-care following a diagnosis, and reduce risks of future complications. Actively encourage a Health & Wellbeing, enabling approach.
7. Work closely with the Cancer Information Specialist Nurse (Outreach).
8. To maintain a comprehensive, accurate and up to date information resource, including a database of information about local and national services.
9. Maintain professional links and liaise with other units/centres to ensure continuity of care and support for patients throughout their care pathway.
10. To use communication skills and empathy to impart information at all levels. To work with the Operations Manager to audit the service on a regular basis ensuring that feedback from users of the service is used to develop services further.
11. Support and participate in service review and ongoing development of nurse/therapy led services.
12. Ensure clear and concise records are documented ensuring effective communication observing NMC guidance for records and records keeping.
13. To provide information by telephone and respond to written requests for information.
Managerial and Leadership responsibilities
1. Act as a role model demonstrating high standards of care and providing leadership to all staff in the Cherry Lodge Cancer Care team.
