We are looking for someone to join our helpline team to provide professional, comprehensive support and make a real difference to people living with PSP, CBD, their families, and carers.
We are seeking a motivated and confident person who can deliver a high-quality professional service, to work on our helpline. Previous experience of working in health, social care or the helpline sector is essential. You need to be a patient, empathetic listener with excellent verbal and written communication skills. The role will involve assessing and responding to callers' needs via our telephone and email service providing practical and emotional support and delivering learning sessions about PSP and CBD to health and social care professionals. Ideally, you will have experience working on a helpline or in a health or social care setting.
Ability and willingness to travel within your region is essential. Occasional weekend work may be required. The role covers the following regions: Greater London, Kent, Essex & Surrey.

Job summary
The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is a Society of over 1,700 members from 100 countries, who work in, or are interested in tropical medicine and global health.
RSTMH organises and participates in events as a crucial way of showcasing, discussing, and debating key areas of tropical medicine and global health research and practice. Our range of events are wide. We deliver conferences and webinars, social events, research meetings for early career professionals, and high-profile debates and discussions. They happen across the UK and around the world, both online and in person. Our events add to the impact of our work in tropical medicine and global health, but also raise funds to allow us to continue our work as a charity.
The Meetings and Events Manager would lead on the delivery of the RSTMH meeting and events strategy. The role requires a self-starter who is excited by the prospect of working on such a broad range of meetings and events. The candidate needs to have excellent communication and relationship building skills, and to be organised, flexible with a great attention to detail. They should be comfortable liaising with venues for meetings space, developing budgets for events, managing logistical aspects of the events programme and setting up new events online and in person.
Main responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the meetings and events programme meeting its financial and other goals and KPIs under the existing strategy
- Overall responsibility for the delivery of the events with a focus on expanding global reach, supporting careers, and improving the financial position
- Manage events from conception to completion - delivering events to the highest standard to meet their objectives of success – quality and cost effectiveness
- Attend the Meetings and Events Committee, optimising meetings including helping set the agendas, leading discussions, writing minutes, liaising with the Chair
- Assist to identify, appoint, and manage Scientific Chairs, Committees, and Sub Committees to secure event speakers, secure attendees and sponsors.

As a Community Fundraising Volunteering Officer, you will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of new and existing fundraising volunteering programmes, with a view to increasing levels of participation and enhancing volunteer’s experiences through sector-leading volunteer stewardship. About the role
You’ll build relationships to influence improvement in care and support NHS services across Wales. You’ll work alongside Parkinson’s Nurses, Consultants, Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) and Service Managers to support the development of Parkinson’s services in a way that reflects the things that matter most to people with Parkinson’s. You’ll also work with NHS staff and Parkinson’s UK colleagues to monitor and respond to threats to Parkinson's services and effect positive change to address them.
You’ll use your quality improvement expertise to support health & care professionals with change projects and programmes, equipping them with the latest tools, resources, evidence and data to develop and improve services for people with Parkinson’s.
Finally, you’ll support a vibrant network of healthcare professionals across Wales via the Parkinson’s Excellence Network to share best practice, provide resources and education and drive improvements to services for people with Parkinson’s and their families.

About the role
As digital content officer, you’ll design, edit and optimise our web content to help our users feel empowered throughout their breast cancer experience.
From personal stories and blogs to landing pages and webforms, you’ll support teams across the charity and lead the content creation for some of our key projects and campaigns.
You’ll know content design, search engine optimisation (SEO), user experience (UX) and accessibility best practices like the back of your hand and be able to advise teams on the correct approach for their pages. And with support from our digital analytics manager, you’ll be able to advise teams on how to improve their content to drive conversions.

You will have experience of delivering individual and group therapeutic/counselling interventions in-person and identify under the broad umbrella of LGBTQ+ yourself (Spectra operates as a peer led model). Responsible to the Director of Estates, Facilities, Sustainability and Safety, you will be responsible for the development of our Facilities strategy and the financial achievement, operational performance and quality of Facilities services across the Charity. Ensuring the cohesive development and delivery of Facilities services for our Hospices, stores, lockups and offices in line with Marie Curie policy and government initiatives.
Working with key personnel within Estates and the wider Marie Curie community, you will manage the effective integration of environmental, energy, water and carbon management best practices into all activities undertaken across Marie Curie. This will include devising and implementing strong mechanisms to ensure uniformity of standards and service delivery across the organisation taking into account contractual and regulatory differences across the four nation

Additional Criteria for Success:
- Soft FM and hard FM experience at senior level, gained from working in a complex multi-site environment.
- Experience working in a health/community/ social care (highly regulated) environment. You will need an understanding /knowledge of the Care Quality Commission requirements and other UK care regulators.
- Professional experience of sustainability issues in the private or public sector, as well as experience in the management of an EMS and undertaking audits.
- Experience in managing national contracts, including planned and reactive maintenance contracts.
- Professional qualifications in Facilities Management, Environmental Science, Sustainable Development or other related subjects are desirable.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop staff. You will be responsible for a team of x 3.

Well Connected is seeking someone with community engagement experience, to become our new Community Connector within easy reach of Plymouth, Devon. This is an exciting opportunity to work with us and alongside our partners to support students’ community placements and learning experiences, enabling students to engage directly with communities.
The role will facilitate and develop a range of programmes which aim to increase students' understanding of the health needs of a variety of population groups, such as people who experience homelessness, vulnerable adults, children and families, etc.
The Community Connector will join a small, yet dynamic team, be self-motivated and able to work independently towards achieving their targets.They must be enthusiastic, kind, approachable and enjoy interacting with students, community organisations and local people and be open to learning, developing their own skills and want to support the learning of others.
While a background in health and/or teaching is not a requirement, you should be interested in promoting wellbeing and passionate about supporting the teaching and learning of the health professionals of the future.
A DBS check will be required for the successful applicant.
What We Offer
Salary: £25,000-£30,000 (pro rata)
Contract: Two Year Fixed Term
Hours of work: 25 hours per week
Remote Working, must be within easy reach of Plymouth
Holiday allowance: 25 days (pro-rata for part-time staff depending on join date)
