Reporting into the Head of Finance, your responsibilities will be:

To ensure effective support and delivery of organisational objectives, theis position plays a critical role in maintaining an efficient month end, ensuring accurate financial data, preparation of financial reports, carrying out the annual/audit process.

* Coordinate with country offices to consolidate financial data and ensure consistency, accuracy and transparency of financial reporting.

* Operating a smooth and disciplined month end with all balance sheet accounts reconciled and full monthly management pack and management accounts submitted to the Global Head of Finance.

* Preparation of full management accounts, analysis and presentation of accurate financial reports, including income/expenditure statements, balance sheet, cash flow statements, KPIs and forecasting.

* Monitor budgets, track expenditure, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. Provide guidance and support to budget holders in budget development, cost control, and financial accountability.

Purpose of the role:

The purpose of this role is to manage and deliver an effective email CRM programme for ZSL and its Zoos (London Zoo and Whipsnade Zoo) across the broad range of audience groups (zoo visitors, donors, members, experience bookers, etc.). The aim is to continuously grow customer acquisition, engagement, value and loyalty as part of an overarching Supporter Journey that has the customer experience at its heart.

Your key responsibilities:

• Design and build on-brand email marketing campaigns from end to end. Including copywriting, building emails on Dotdigital, sending campaigns and manage A/B and MVP testing strategy to ensure continuous optimisation of email campaigns.
• Own the overall email campaign plan and delivery, working with audience owners across ZSL to manage email communications, providing guidance and best practice.
• Analyse and segment customer data and maximise this data to deliver effective targeted activity, managing the quality and frequency of messaging. Use this insight to identify opportunities for up-selling or cross-selling programmes.
• Develop and deliver customer data acquisition strategies and ensure all activity is GDPR compliant.
• Work with the Membership Marketing Manager to fully develop, deliver and manage an effective CRM programme for ZSL to build (automated) supporter journeys along the customer lifecycle, driving loyalty and growing the value of each customer and ROI from CRM activity.
• Work with the Digital Marketing Executive to track and analyse campaign results (engagement, conversion rates, web analytics, ROI) to produce regular reports on campaign performance, and continuously implement improvements based on findings.
• Develop strong working relationships with our Ticketing and Systems teams to understand and use Tessitura, our membership and donations CRM platform as well as ticketing and experiences data from SEE Tickets.
• Manage ZSL’s email service platform (currently Dotdigital) including being responsible for managing and maintaining the data within it to ensure that all customer data and communication is GDPR complaint, management of the ESP budget and management of the relationship with the ESP supplier.

Your experience:

Charity People are thrilled to be partnered with a leading animal charity to find them an Events Manager to join them to manage a big event they have coming up in July in Leicestershire. The role is to manage a one-day event, which is already arranged, and plans are in place. They require someone to come in and take the lead on ensuring this is the biggest and best event they could wish for

The sky is the limit, so this is a hugely exciting role, where an experienced events professional could come in and really drive the event using their own creative flair and showcasing their skills and expertise in event execution. This can be a remote role, or you can work in the office if preferred. There are offices in Rushton and Daventry

The hourly rate is based on £25,000 per annum and the role is a 35 hour per week role, but these hours are very flexible and can be worked throughout the week. Please reach out directly if you are keen to hear more.

The event itself is taking place on 20th July and you will be required to be there for a working day (travel expenses paid for if required) and you are welcome to stay on to enjoy the event. This is a family friendly event with games, face painting etc, and then live music that will run through to the evening. Your role will be to try and ensure more tickets are sold (although the event is already doing well with ticket sales) and building on the whole event with extra things for attendees to do and see, so it is exciting to be given the reigns and freedom to really pull out the stops. We’re looking for an experienced individual to join our Community Fundraising team as Community Fundraising Officer, covering our East Midlands hub. You will join us working 35 hours per week on a permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £30,781.96 per annum plus excellent benefits.

The Community Fundraising Officer is an exciting role for a community fundraiser who wants to make a positive impact and drive income generation. Sitting in the Community Fundraising and Events department within the Marketing and Income Generation Directorate the Community Fundraising Officer plays a pivotal role in leading and supporting community activities to drive and grow community fundraised income. This is an opportunity to work across a diverse range of products and activities, work alongside dedicated volunteers, meet our loyal supporters and demonstrate the joy and impact of community fundraising all for the benefit of cats and kittens in the UK. 

What we’re looking for:

• Experience of raising funds in a community fundraising environment
• Experience in planning, organising and delivering fundraising campaigns and activities
• Direct experience of working with volunteers
• Experience of planning and working to income/expenditure budgets 
• Good working knowledge of transaction/contact database (preferably CARE NG)
• A flexible approach to working hours and able to attend events which may occasionally fall on evenings or weekends

About the team:

The Customer Support Centre is multi-channelled, with a mixture of inbound, outbound and email traffic which receives calls and emails for our network of 21 rehoming centres in the UK. The Customer Support Centre also receives calls for several dedicated hotlines in the organisation along with making outbound post adoption support calls. The role will involve delivering exceptional customer service on every interaction for all sorts of queries coming into the organisation.

What you need to know:

Normal hours in this role are 37.5 per week, our national Customer Support Centre is open from 8am-8pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am-5pm on weekends and bank holidays. Due to the nature of our operation, you will be required to work every other weekend (2 weekends per month) with some bank holiday work required.

The role is based in the Manchester Rehoming Centre with hybrid working. The successful candidate will be required to work two days a week at our Manchester office (M34 3SG) and three days remotely. Some UK travel may be required as and when needed.
