The Role
Month-end tasks
Process supplier invoices and staff expenses and prepare weekly payment runs in Sage 50 Accounts software.
Send remittance advice to suppliers.
Import staff expenses transactions from Expense's into Sage and reconcile staff accounts to Purchase Ledger in Sage.
Reconcile supplier records within the Purchase Ledger ensuring it is accurate and up to date.
Working with the Database & Insights Officer, post monthly bank receipts and income journals to Sage 50.
Monthly reconciliation of bank, Stripe and PayPal accounts to bank statements.
Reconcile credit card statements monthly.
Prepare and post monthly prepayment journals to Sage.
Prepare monthly reconciliations of income in Sage against Fundraising figures, explaining any variances.
Prepare monthly cashflow statements for review by the Head of Finance.
Reporting
Support the Development team with Donor reporting.
Prepare monthly budget vs actual reports for project teams.
Produce Sage expenditure reports for the Development and Program teams upon request.
General
Monitor the Accounts Payable mailbox responding to emails and requests in a timely manner.
Support the HoF and Development team with any other ad hoc tasks as required.
The Candidate
Extensive experience working in Finance to officer or senior officer officer level
Reconciliation
Working experience with Sage50.
Qualified or Pursuing formal accounting qualifications.
Understanding of charity accounting
Strong IT skills

The new Marketing Officer will act as marketing lead for Hand in Hand’s corporate partners, including social content, drafting blogs, and editing pitches, working closely with the fundraising team.
To be successful, you will have marketing experience either in an in-house, or agency role, with excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills. You will be a competent digital marketer, with experience using digital marketing tools, and design software. You will be an effective and thoughtful communicator, able to build effective relationships with colleagues and corporate donors. About the Role

The person within this role will develop controls, policies and procedures that work for a variety of audiences including student volunteers, staff and trustees. They will lead on setting the strategic financial goals for the organisation and take a proactive role in supporting our performance towards these goals. The role will also support several departmental managers who deliver organisational services in the areas of finance, commercial and central services. You will be confident in providing high quality strategic advice to the Board of Trustees regarding the long-term future of the organisation as well as supporting the wider team with day-to-day functions and operations.

This role will be based at our office in Curdridge, however, we are happy to accommodate a hybrid working routine, and discuss a pattern of work which suits the candidate. This role is full time, 35 hours per week. Traditionally, office hours are Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm with an hour lunch break. However, many of our staff work flexibly and we are happy to consider flexible working hours for the right candidate.
