The Chartered College of Teaching is currently working on a number of exciting projects and therefore has multiple fixed term roles available to support our project work and business as usual.

By joining our team as an Learning Design and Assessment Manager, you’ll be helping us to support teachers, champion great teaching and raise the status of the profession by supporting teacher professional learning and accreditation. You will be an experienced teacher or leader, with an interest in teaching and learning, curriculum and assessment. You may also have experience designing or delivering teacher professional development within an education setting or via an education-focused organisation.

Salary: £34,000 - £40,000 pa (depending on experience)
Contract: Fixed term until March 2026.

The opportunity

As Learning Design and Assessment Manager you will play a key role in developing curriculum and content for our online courses, drawing on your experience and knowledge of teaching and learning to provide a coherent learning experience, ensuring that all content is of a very high quality and informed by the latest research and evidence. You will also support our accreditation function, designing assessments and supporting internal assessment and moderation processes. 

There will be some flexibility in the role, meaning that we can tailor the work you will be involved with to suit your skillset. Working closely with colleagues in our Professional Learning and Accreditation Team, we expect that the Learning Design and Assessment Manager will:

• develop the curriculum and write and commission course content and materials for teachers and school leaders
• design training materials and, where relevant, directly deliver training and CPD to teachers and school leaders
• engage with education research to ensure the content and delivery of courses is informed by the best available evidence of effective practice
• design and develop assessments to support teacher certification and accreditation
• assess and moderate submissions; contribute to the ongoing development of robust assessment policies and processes
• develop assessment training and guidance for assessors, teachers, schools and delivery partners, as appropriate
• work with schools and organisations to support ongoing engagement in courses and programmes
• develop and implement robust content and delivery plans, overseeing projects and course development activity to ensure that courses are delivered on time, within budget and fulfil project requirements
• be provided with the time and support to engage in your own professional development.

The Brand Manager will play a crucial role in the planning, development and implementation of brand activity across the charity. The role is key to driving growth across brand, fundraising and engagement.

Working closely with the Senior Brand Manager and the wider Brand department, this role will put the Alzheimer’s Research UK brand at the heart of everything we do, business partnering across the organisation to embed the brand internally, maximise opportunities to amplify the brand, and drive brand consistency.

The Brand Manager will liaise across the whole organisation, working particularly closely with key contacts across Marketing and Fundraising, Communications and Policy.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

· Work closely with the Senior Brand Manager to develop and deliver the organisation-wide brand strategy, driving engagement across the charity.

· Act as an internal brand consultant across the organisation, collaborating with teams to amplify the brand and maximise brand opportunities.

· Lead brand input into integrated campaign moments across the charity, ensuring consistent look and feel and aligned messaging.

· Inspire and engage colleagues internally, delivering internal communications to ensure that the brand is alive, understood and actively developed.

· Drive forward planning to ensure that plans are co-ordinated, regularly reviewed, and the brand is measured effectively.

· Support the Senior Brand Manager and existing Brand Manager to deliver Alzheimer’s Research UK’s key brand campaigns.

· Be a day-to-day contact for external agencies and freelancers where relevant.

· Work with the Insight team to track and evaluate brand health and the impact of brand campaign activity.

What we are looking for:

· Excellent experience in a brand role.

· Excellent experience of developing creative and applying a master brand to products, content and communications.

· Experience of leading multi-channel brand or marketing communications campaigns with a good knowledge of the full marketing mix.

· Experience of working with corporate partners to develop communications that amplify the brand.

· Proven experience in project planning, management and delivery.

· Experience of working with external creative agencies and freelancers.

· Strong experience of developing key messaging for individual products and campaigns.

· Experience of measuring and reporting on brand health and campaign performance.

· The ability to work at pace, delivering multiple complex projects to meet specified deadlines.

· Outstanding leadership and coordination skills.

· Clear and concise communications skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to cut through complexity.

· Ability to influence and collaborate with a range of stakeholders at all levels and get buy-in to new ideas.

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

About this job

It is a very exciting time to join the MS Society as Evidence Programme Lead. We are implementing an ambitious cross-organisational transformation programme. And we have just started a new 2025-29 strategy.

We’re looking for a person with strong social research skills who has the ability to lead our Evidence team. We’re looking for someone who can work collaboratively across the organisation to ensure we’re developing our evidence base to inform our work.

With extensive experience and knowledge of applied research, evaluation and data analysis, you’ll provide strategic leadership to design, develop and deliver a programme of evidence projects as well as managing a team of evidence officers, identifying gaps in our evidence and providing advice about how to fill them.

You’ll deliver internal projects and commission external research projects, working with colleagues in policy, press, campaigns and beyond to do so. Contributing to key internal working groups will be another key aspect of the role, as well as monitoring and responding to requests for evidence. And you’ll be committed to ensuring people with MS are involved in the design and delivery of evidence projects and to ensuring we seek views from people from a wide range of backgrounds.

The IT Systems & Security Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the IT strategy and operational plans which supports the charity’s vision, mission and objectives. 

This role will be responsible for ensuring that all IT services are successfully delivered across the charity by defining, creating and maintaining the IT environment including; the management of all technical systems, system upgrades, interfaces and customisations, infrastructure, applications, security and IT governance.  In addition, this role will identify opportunities to ensure the technology, systems and tools used are fully integrated and embedded throughout the charity, with a view to maximising performance, optimising efficiency and creating a sustainable platform for future growth.

Final point of escalation, extensive troubleshooting, provide guidance to IT Team

· Complete comprehensive troubleshooting of escalated tickets raised with the IT Department

The Role

Support the Finance Department by processing income to the HTB Group and processing the expenditure for one or more HTBG entity.

The majority of work is processing income to the HTB Group but a portion is dedicated to expenditure processing, giving the job holder valuable experience in both areas.

The Key Responsibilities

Income Controller – HTB Group

• Raising invoices, credit notes for all entities across HTB Group
• Recording sales and customer receipts
• Processing BACS, cash, cheque, and card payments for all entities
• Running Aged Debtors reports quarterly and sending balance sheet to all departments.
• Maintaining and updating customer accounts.
• Monitoring credit control
• Running quarterly internal audits to car park book receipts
• Download Bank Statement weekly.
• Processing Income Forms - Cash, Cheques, cards payments
• Processing weekly Carpark cash reports. Offering and Income.
• Processing occasional reimbursements of unauthorised expenses/expenditure from staff
• Investigating unknown bank transactions across all entities
• Recording banked cheques on weekly basis
• Being point of contact for all things income, liaising with event organisers and head of teams for income related queries.

Purchase Ledger Controller for one or more of the HTBG entities
• Managing the Purchase Ledger

• Ensure all invoices are correctly coded and authorised.

• Ensure all staff expenses fall in the staff expense policy.
• Process invoices and expense claims in Access Dimensions
• Ensure all batch payments are accurate and match to payment information.
• Processing Bankline payment runs twice a month.

• Send out supplier and Staff remittances.
• Deal with supplier and staff enquires/queries.

Miscellaneous
• Help with Cash count when required.
• Support other team members in their duties when required.

As we embark on an exciting 5-year strategy we are looking to recruit an experienced Individual Giving Manager to focus on the delivery of repeat giving. Developing our weekly lottery, raffles and regular giving products and the sustainable income they provide.

This will be a crucial role within the team and playing the lead role in promoting these forms of giving to a wide external audience.
