A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join Westway Trust as a Team Administrator, providing efficient and responsive administrative support to the Property Department, playing a key role in ensuring the annual cycle of organisational requirements in terms of administration are well planned, on track and delivered by the relevant part of the team.

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• Provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Head of Property and the Property Managers, including the scheduling of team meetings.
• Initial point of contact for enquiries to the Property team.
• Manage routine office duties such as invoice requests and expenses.
• Schedule in key team tasks within the peaks and troughs of the range of team activities.
• Schedule Committee Meetings and attend in the capacity of the minute taker. Work with the team to prepare and collate the papers. Follow-up on actions for timely reporting.
• You will ensure time is set aside by the whole team to meet organisational goals, such as performance reviews, work to achieve the organisation’s annual audit, service charge reconciliation, and contractor reviews.
• You may be asked to commission regular cyclical reports from external providers and ensure they are delivered on time ready for upward reporting.
• You may be asked to organise emails, create presentations, and work within the teams filing system.
• You will receive reports from key team members and ensure they are ready to present through the Governance.
• You will co-ordinate and collage high level data collection provided by others for upward reporting.
• You will ensure key project information regarding estate development is circulated to the lettings and leasing side of the Property Team’s operation. This may involve calling on others in the organisation to assist.

Essential Experience, Skills and Attributes

What you’ll be doing:

As COO, you will play a critical leadership role in the strategic and operational success of LtL. You will work closely with the CEO and the management team to deliver the charity’s vision, overseeing day-to-day project delivery across the UK. Key Responsibilities

What you need

· Outstanding project management skills including budgeting, planning, evaluation, and reporting.

The Bird of Prey Project is a registered charity and multiple award-winning visitor centre and zoo working to conserve birds of prey, restore habitats and make wildlife education accessible. At this exciting time for the organisation, we are looking to recruit a new Charity Manager who can manage the visitor centre whilst working alongside the Board of Trustees to develop strategy and objectives for the charity. You will have the incredible opportunity to lead a team working to inspire the public about wildlife, develop the highest standards of bird welfare and restore populations of wild raptors.  

What is the role about?

The Charity Manager works directly with the Board of Trustees to manage the charity and visitor centre.

The visitor centre receives over 10,000 visitors per year who provide the majority of the charity’s income. The senior bird team provide a high standard of ethical raptor care to over 20 species, using restraint free management and free-flight techniques, and also deliver experiences and displays to the public. The Charity manager works to ensure that the site is safe and compliant with law & best practice, the senior bird team are provided with adequate resources and that the visitor centre is meeting goals for income generation.   

The charity’s mission is to Conserve birds of prey, restore habitats and make wildlife education accessible. The Charity Manager over-sees the staff team delivering the charity activities, ensuring work is recorded and reported correctly.

You would also be responsible for line managing both Deputy Centre Managers. You should be confident in making decisions and able to balance opportunity and risk. An ability to operate within and develop governance, finance and risk frameworks is also a key part of the role, and whilst a background with working with birds of prey or in wildlife conservation is not necessary, you should be passionate about The Bird of Prey Project’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Line manage and lead personal development of the Deputy Centre Managers.

Responsibilities and Person Specification:

The Head of Governance will lead the charity’s small Governance and Risk, and Facilities teams. They are responsible for governance, company secretarial, risk management, health and safety, safeguarding, information governance, procurement and contracts management, business continuity planning, and management of facilities and the charity's office and small portfolio of other properties.

The role would suit someone who enjoys a broad remit and working with colleagues across the charity, who can think around issues and implement pragmatic solutions. As the role has a wide remit, the ability to learn quickly will be key. Candidates will need senior level experience of charity governance, risk management and safeguarding, ideally working with adults at risk. Applicants will need to be good communicators, verbally and in writing.

This role is 0.5FTE (17.5 hours per week). There is some flexibility around how the hours can be worked, but hours would normally be worked across 2.5 days a week, with attendance required at specific times for management and trustee meetings. Office attendance will be required on average 2 days a week for meetings and due to responsibility for office management.

Job Title: Executive Administrator 

Location: Central Office which is based around a 10 minute walk from Highbury and Islington Station. Hybrid working available, approximately 2 - 3 days per week in the office including every Tuesday. Additional office, service, and away days would be required for attendance.

About the role

We're looking for an Executive Administrator to join our central office team, reporting to the Director of Finance and Resource. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-level administrative and governance support to various leaders within the organisation, including the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), The Board, and CEO. 

In this role, you will ensure the smooth operation of coordinating meetings, managing governance processes, and supporting strategic initiatives. You will facilitate board and SLT meetings, including scheduling, preparing agendas, taking formal minutes, and ensuring a timely follow-up on actions, whilst overseeing compliance with health and safety regulations, supporting the organisation's environmental strategy.

You will further line manage a small team of 2 Administrative Support Officers who support with the day to day administration and management of our central office.

About you

This role is ideal for someone who is organised, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced organisation. You will be a proactive problem solver with excellent communication skills, both verbally and written. You will be able to organise and manage events and away days, as well as manage our booking systems and general running. You will have proven minute taking experience, able to write minutes for meetings in an organised manner, and manage our shared online platforms for ease of access, and usability. You will have:

• Experience in high level administration duties, ideally within a similar role, supporting senior leadership teams and boards with all areas of administration
• Previous experience taking minutes in meetings

We are now looking for a values-driven and systems-savvy HR Advisor to join our supportive HR team. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will be the primary HR partner for our Kent residential communities – supporting line managers, improving processes and playing a key role in maintaining our HRIS.

What you’ll be doing:

· Supporting managers in resolving employee relations issues fairly and consistently

· Leading on recruitment in Kent, from advertising to onboarding

· Acting as our HRIS lead: ensuring data integrity, reporting and optimisation

· Preparing monthly payroll for sign-off

· Helping embed great people practices across our organisation

What we’re looking for:

· CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience

· Strong knowledge of HR systems, processes and UK employment law

· Experience managing ER cases and advising line managers

· Meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills

· A collaborative approach and a passion for making a difference

About the role

We are looking for a skilled trusts and foundations fundraiser to join the Business Development team at ClientEarth for a 12 month maternity cover. The Business Development Officer role will involve researching, cultivating, applying for and securing new strategically aligned funding from trusts, foundations and governments around the world.They will manage their own portfolio of prospective funders and liaise with ClientEarth’s global teams across different programme areas and geographies.Joining ClientEarth’s thriving and growing Business Development team, the postholder will use their skills and experience to support the essential work of one of the world’s most ambitious environmental organisations, and help protect our planet in this crucial decade. 

Meet your Manager

In this role, you will be managed by Carolina Bejarano, Development Manager within ClientEarth's Business Development team. Carolina brings over nine years of experience in the public and international development sector, with a strong track record in securing funding from trusts, foundations, corporate and institutional donors. She has worked with a diverse range of NGOs, supporting programmes focused on humanitarian aid, human rights, and sustainable development. She is based in our London office.

Main Duties

• Undertake prospect research and due diligence to scope potential new funders 
• Draft clear and compelling fundraising materials including cases for support, funding proposals, and concept notes 
• Meet with funder contact points to understand their interests/priorities, present proposals and provide insight to ClientEarth’s work 
• Support the development and improvement of team systems and processes to enable effective and efficient working

• Experience of working in a fundraising role for a charity, NGO, private or public entity (essential)
• Experience of drafting compelling proposals for trusts, foundations and statutory institutions (essential)
• Experience of supporting the relationship development process with a new donor, from prospect research through to cultivation (essential)
• Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication (essential)
