About the role

​As a Training Coordinator for SafeLives, you will provide effective and efficient co-ordination of resources and support for the Training team, commissioners and learners across all SafeLives’ training programmes.

Duties include:

• Respond to learner, commissioner and partner emails in a timely way and manage your inbox efficiently
• Serve as the first point of contact by answering and managing daily phone communications, including calls from the public
• Manage financial tasks such as invoicing, checking credit card payments, and verifying incoming invoices (weekly)
• Schedule associates for training delivery and book the travel, accommodation and Zoom / Teams meetings
• Process course applications, waiting lists and subsidies using Arlo (online bookings software)
• Send all necessary course information and updates to learners, colleagues and associates both digitally and physically
• Be available to support trainers and learners on the day of training and resolve any issues
• Provide tailored support for learners with additional needs
• Create Microsoft Forms feedback forms and evaluation reports
• Work flexibly with the team to resolve problems and cover workloads as appropriate
• Update Outlook calendars and spreadsheets (for delivery, accruals, impact measures, expenses)
• Save documents to SharePoint
• Work with finance to track payments
• Update the WordPress website
• Track learners’ accreditation progress (course applications, worksheet submissions, plagiarism checks, accreditation with OCN)
• Manage resources on Moodle & Turnitin
• Support learners with registrations, logins, grades, certificates, and extensions
• Engage in a constructive and effective way with all survivors of abuse, through calls to the office, Pioneer interaction, with colleagues and any other interaction we have in our day-to- day work
• Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

Contract: Fixed-term contract for 12 months.

Location: Hybrid working/Bristol office minimum of one day per week.

Pembroke College, Oxford, is seeking a motivated and highly organised individual to join its Development team as a Development Coordinator. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain broad experience in fundraising, alumni relations, and stewardship within a busy, supportive team.

The Development Coordinator is a key member of the Development team, providing essential administrative support across alumni relations, donor stewardship, fundraising operations, and office management. Key responsibilities

The main duties to be carried out by the post-holder include:

Alumni Relations

• Manage the Development team inbox and act as the main point of contact for Pembroke’s alumni and other supporters by email, phone, and in person.
• Deal with external communications to the office and forward queries to the appropriate colleague where required.
• Produce briefing notes for the Master, Fellows, and other key staff and volunteers prior to events for alumni relations, stewardship, and fundraising purposes.
• Ensure that the alumni pages of the College website are kept up-to-date and contribute to the generation of online content for social media.
• Process credit card payments for events and ensure accurate records are kept and card details handled securely.
• Provide administrative support to the Pembroke College Ambassador programme.

Operations and Office Management

• Work with the Database and Insights Officer on projects to clean and improve data held on the university-wide DARS database.
• Process updates to contact and other details submitted by alumni.
• Deal with payment and pledge-related queries from donors and potential donors.
• Ensure that the database is maintained with accurate and up-to-date details on Pembroke alumni and other constituents.
• Provide logistical support for overseas trips and other visits undertaken by Development staff.
• Take minutes for meetings of the Campaign Board, Development Committee, Alumni Advisory Board, and other groups.

Internal collaboration

• Work collaboratively with the wider team and colleagues across Pembroke, supporting work outside your functional area where necessary.
• Support fundraising colleagues with regular giving activities including telethons and mailings.
• Provide general support and assistance to the team, particularly for event administration and donor stewardship.
• Attend events as required and assist the Senior Alumni Relations Officer to ensure they are successfully delivered.
• Co-ordinate stationery and office supplies including fundraising and alumni relations materials.
• Collect and deliver post to the Porters’ Lodge.
• To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required by the Development Director, which may include travel and event attendance outside standard working hours.

Turning Tides is a charity that supports people experiencing homelessness in West Sussex. While our central office is in Worthing, our work spans the county – from East Grinstead to Littlehampton and across areas in between. With over 20 accommodation projects, community hubs and outreach teams, we offer local single adults tailored support to move towards a more stable future. We strongly believe in addressing the root causes for homelessness, so our specialist teams support in areas such as mental health, substance misuse, tenancy sustainment, IT skills, employment guidance and much more. 

The Fundraising team is small but mighty. We shape and support the raising of funds for Turning Tides, by inspiring compassion for people facing homelessness and aim to engage supporters through powerful storytelling. From supporting and creating fundraising events, engaging with community groups, corporate clients and providing 1:1 stewardship with donors we aim to spread the word of our mission to the wider community, inspiring people to take action in support of those who are impacted by homelessness. About the role

The Fundraising Officer will work closely with the Fundraising Manager on a wide range of tasks, ensuring our messages reach the right people in the right way. This could include giving talks at local community groups such as schools and churches, delivering fundraising, stewardship of fundraisers and donors. This role will include weekend and evening work to support our fundraising events.

Stewardship

• Working with the Development Director and Development Manager, create a stewardship strategy for all major donors, ensuring that everyone receives annual reports on their giving and the appropriate level of recognition.
• Work with the College’s Finance team to obtain annual reports on the status of restricted and endowed funds for inclusion in stewardship reporting.
• Take ownership of the College’s stewardship groups for major donors, namely the Foundation Fellows, Sheppard Circle, and Master’s Circle.  Liaise with the Senior Alumni Relations Officer to create and deliver events for members of these groups and devise ways to further our relationship with them individually and collectively.
• Work with the Accounts Office and Academic Office to ensure that restricted funds are used in accordance with their purpose and to track and report on progress to donors in line with relevant gift agreements and pledges.
• Ensure donors receive appropriate recognition in all relevant College publications and other media and work in close collaboration with the Communications team to ensure donors receive relevant College and Campaign communications.
• Work with the Development team, Communications team, and others in College to create an annual report demonstrating the impact of philanthropy at Pembroke for distribution to donors to the College.
• Identify opportunities to publicise the impact of philanthropy at Pembroke through multimedia communications and digital platforms (e.g., videos, newsletters, digital campaigns).
• Once the programme is established there may be opportunities to undertake face-to-face stewardship meetings with donors.

Proposal writing

• Support the Development Director and Development Manager in drafting bespoke proposals for major donor prospects.
• Assist in the production of fundraising documentation to appeal to potential major donors.
• Make effective use of donor records to ensure proposals and reports are data driven.
• Draft gift agreements for major donors.

Internal collaboration

• Work collaboratively with the wider team and colleagues across Pembroke, supporting work outside your functional area where necessary.
• Build strong internal relationships with relevant stakeholders to ensure the stewardship programme is supported at the highest level.

Do you want to make a difference to the lives of students and equip them to put their faith into action?

SCM is looking for a recent graduate to spend a year working with us to help us to continue to build on the work of our successful Faith in Action project. 

Run in partnership with Project Bonhoeffer, a small charitable trust, the project began in 2012 with a vision that Christian students in Britain would have a greater awareness and understanding of Bonhoeffer’s radical approach to faith and discipleship, and its implications for Christian living in the modern world. 

The project has helped to run over a dozen campaigns from Food Poverty to Peace, and had an immeasurable impact on thousands of students through blogs, resources, and relationships. All of this is bringing to light many ‘Bonhoeffers’ of today negotiating the implications on Christian living in the world.

In 2021 we developed the Faith in Action project as a graduate scheme by employing two graduates to work on the project; one to lead on theology bringing a depth of learning and theological refection, and the other to be a campaigns lead, taking us always back out into the world to make a difference.

The project has been very successful, and now we are looking to grow it for further. We are looking for a passionate graduate to join the project for the 2025-26 academic year.

In this role, you will be a theologian to make other theologians, and will provide the framework for students to be able to reflect theologically on their life and modern Christian Living. You will be responsible for growing the breadth of SCM’s Faith in Action resources, and discovering new ways of connecting with the current membership via the trends of social media or engaging in face-to-face reflections. An activist to make other activists, you will coordinate social action for SCM, engaging the membership in social justice projects that maximise our impact in society and the world.

You will work to build relationships between SCM communities and members to equip students with the skills they need to become faith-filled agents of social and political change and lead them in theological reflection to discern their involvement in local and national campaigns. You will also work to develop relationships with other Christian social justice and campaigning organisations to create opportunities for students to put their faith into action. In all of this, you will be supported by our small but perfectly-formed team, who will share your values and fully understand your aims in this project.

The role will require some travel within Britain, as well as semi-regular visits to the office in Birmingham, which may also include an overnight stay. All reasonable expenses for travel and accommodation will be reimbursed. Some evening and weekend work may be required for which time off in lieu will be given.

About the role

Our residents in this service have experienced long-term street homelessness and have faced significant challenges including with their mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency, and struggled to sustain engagement with support services. That's why they're here, to make a change and gain the support they need to enable greater independence and recovery.

In this role, as a Support Mentor, you will work within a 24 hour service which provided person centred support to our residents, working to ensure the safety and wellbeing. You will build trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins. Your role will focus on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals. 

About you

We're looking for someone who has a true passion for what we do as an organisation, and particularly in supporting those who have faced homelessness and may have other complex needs. Our residents needs are at the forefront of service delivery, so someone who can build trusting professional relationships is key. You will be adaptable, proactive, and able to use your initiative to resolve challenges.. You will be able to work within a team, and have previous knowledge of the needs our residents may have. Each support plan is tailored to the individual, putting their needs first for the team to be able to deliver support to their needs. What are we looking for:

Job Purpose

The Partnership Coordinator role is varied, offering the chance to develop a wide range of skills. Responsibilities include delivering programme and network activities, managing local hubs, supporting events and meetings, and participating in recruitment and retention activities led by the Partnerships Team.

Working closely with school and trust leaders and hub managers, you will need excellent relationship management skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

We are looking for new colleagues to focus on delivering our programmes and networks, ensuring a great experience for our partner schools (about 60-80% of your time). The remaining time will be spent on hub account management, supporting knowledge exchange and network growth, and handling general partner queries.

Key Responsibilities

Programme and Network Delivery:

- Support the planning and delivery of programmes and networks, including scheduling dates, organising training sessions, and other activities.

- Support the organisation and delivery of programme-specific and national events.

- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including resolving operational issues and escalating as needed.

- Provide year-round support to local Hub Managers to ensure schools receive necessary support.

- Monitor programme, network, and hub data to identify risks and/or trends, providing regular reports and updates to support the continuous improvement of our activities. 

Partner Relationship Management:

- Work with the Challenge Partners Central Team to ensure an excellent experience for partners and help schools maximise their partnership value.

- Support the induction and onboarding of new schools to their hubs and the National Network of Excellence.

- Troubleshoot and respond to school or trust queries through internal customer care systems.

- Utilise and update our CRM system (Salesforce).

Communications:

- Respond to email and phone queries about Challenge Partners, programmes, networks, and hubs professionally and promptly.

- Collaborate with programme, network, and partnership leads to provide high-quality communications to partner schools, including renewals, induction, onboarding, engagement emails, and hub updates.

Recruitment and Retention:

- Support year-round recruitment of schools to the Network of Excellence, working with hubs to deliver introductory events.

- Provide updates on schools in your hub to inform retention campaigns.

We are currently looking for a Communications and Website Officer to join a small, busy Communications Team.

Within the Chief Executive’s Office, the UK Advocacy and Health Intelligence Department are focused on creating lasting change. We identify creative policy solutions in response to the challenges people with arthritis face. We influence decision-makers through stakeholder engagement, public affairs activity and by campaigning alongside people with arthritis. We have expertise across health and care services, public health, and employment policy. We also work in collaboration to influence medical research and data policy and play an active role in several cross-sector groups. 

About the role

The purpose of this role is to drive policy development across our policy priority areas. The Policy Officer will lead on specific policy projects, commissioning research, developing policy positions, and producing reports and consultation responses.

This role will cover a broad range of issues across one of our strategic goals – prevention and diagnosis; access to treatment; and living well with arthritis. Our approach considers the needs of people of all ages who have arthritis.

The Policy Officer will also contribute to the wider work of the team, working closely with colleagues in the Nations Teams, the Research Directorate and the wider charity, including by representing us on cross-sector policy groups, drafting briefings, and participating in events and conferences.

About the Role:

You will co-ordinate and deliver a statutory independent visitor service to children and young people in care or care leavers of Manchester.

You will recruit, assess and train volunteers to become independent visitors, who are volunteer befrienders to children and young people looked after or care leavers. You will manage a cash flow to fund suitable activities for independent visitors to enjoy with the young person. You will manage data and reporting for this statutory service so that service leads and other stakeholders can understand the activity in the service.

We are a child led service, you will not act outside of the young person’s instructions (except in matters of child protection and safety.)You will build strong relationships with the child or young person, independent visitors and other significant adults, you will support Independent Visitors to develop long term, meaningful friendships with the young person.

You will work in partnership with other parts of the service, organisation and external agencies and professionals. This is to ensure there are pathways to attract and retain Independent Visitors in the area and sometimes out of area.
