Learning and development
- Responsible for creating and implementing a programme to identify training and development needs across Stewardship, using assessment and analysis tools.

Employee engagement
- Lead on developing our employee listening opportunities:
- Planning, implementation, analysis, presentation and follow up of our regular staff pulse surveys, working with team leaders to implement findings.
- Create a programme of listening at key moments of the employee lifecycle, e.g. returning to work after maternity leave, exit interviews, through probation etc.
- Facilitate and work with other staff to deliver topic-led consultations, gathering insights on specific areas.
- Oversee the exploration and development of an employee forum to strengthen employee voice. Working to develop terms of reference, organise meetings, and facilitate speakers and feedback.
- Evaluate the impact of activities using a range of evidence and metrics to identify insights, trends and patterns.
- Working with the Head of PC&P to identify, implement and roll out any appropriate software to underpin employment engagement and learning.
You will have:
- At least three years experience in a learning and development role, preferably at a management level.
- Experience of leading and implementing learning initiatives within organisations and have a passion to support colleagues to embed learning and grow in their role.
- Good knowledge of learning theories, and experience of applying these within the organisational context.
- Experience of delivering learning initiatives to individuals and groups at all levels of an organisation.
- Experience of establishing a range of employee voice channels, and ability to evaluate findings.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, able to influence and engage a range of stakeholders.
- Commitment to your own personal development and learning.

About the role
As Research Grants Manager, you will establish and manage Macmillan’s research funding activities. You’ll help develop our research strategy, build a programme of grant funding, and ensure robust, equitable and transparent processes across the full research funding cycle.
You will work closely with senior clinical leaders, academic partners and research funders to establish Macmillan’s identity within the UK cancer research ecosystem and deliver high‑quality, strategically aligned research grants.

Person Specification
Educated to A Level or equivalent, preferable CIPD level 3 qualified
Theological and/or missiological training
Good understanding of the UK and Ireland Christian context and cross-cultural mission
Basic knowledge of safeguarding
Competent user of Microsoft Office, databases, and digital communication tools including Microsoft Teams
Driven to achieve high standards in administration and events organisation
Self-motivated, keen to drive projects forward using own initiative
Friendly and courteous towards candidates, colleagues and supporters
Emotionally intelligent, a good listener with apastoral nature
Responds positively to constructive feedback
Adopts a can-do attitude and flexible approach
Open to change and willing to learn new skills

Terms of Appointment
• Full time 35 Hours pw Mon-Fri; occasional evening/weekend commitments
• Salary £28,000-£32,000 per annum commensurate with experience
• Non-contributory pension of 8% of salary on completion of a probationary period andbackdated to start date
• Paid annual leave entitlement of 25 days in addition to pro-rata public holidays
• Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK
• It is an occupational requirement for this role to be filled by a Christian
• Appointment subject to satisfactory references and DBS check

About the Service
We are a dedicated People & Culture team, working closely and in collaboration with employees and managers across the organisation. We’re seeking a Talent Acquisition Coordinator who will join the Talent Acquisition function under our Corporate Services area.
The Talent Acquisition function at Solace is part of our centre of excellence and is responsible for attracting and acquiring committed individuals to join our services and help us make a difference. We are currently streamlining our recruitment processes to ensure that our recruitment practices are inclusive, practical and accessible to all.
About the Role
As a Talent Acquisition Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in our talent acquisition process, supporting our end-to-end recruitment efforts. You’ll assist with a wide range of administrative tasks throughout the candidate and employee life cycles, including job advertising, interview scheduling, pre-employment checks, and system onboarding ahead of candidates first day. You will collaborate closely with the Talent Acquisition Partner and wider People & Culture team, hiring managers, and external stakeholders to support in talent attraction, candidate experience, employer branding and engagement, compliance, and inclusive hiring practices, to assist in recruiting top talent to support our services and mission.
