Job purpose:
The role has two distinct areas of responsibility:
Provide administrative and logistical support for the smooth running of the London office (70%). Administrative assistance for the general operations of the Trustees, including coordination of Board meetings (30%), although this may vary on a day-to-day basis.
This role requires a candidate who is well-organised, adaptable, and proactive. Strong administrative, numeracy, communication, and IT skills and proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite, including SharePoint and our organisational Intranet, are essential.
Most importantly, they’ll be team players willing to learn and bring a positive, enthusiastic attitude with a proactive, can-do approach.
Roles and responsibilities:
Office Administration and logistical support (70%)
· Proactively ensure that the office functions well and efficiently, maintaining office equipment and stocks of office supplies within budget.
· Act as the primary contact for visitors and phone inquiries. Manage the general inquiries email inbox and other shared email accounts.
· Be the main point of contact for office maintenance, security, and building management. Communicate with the landlord to promptly and efficiently address any related issues.
· Ensure office procedures are kept up-to-date and communicated to staff.
· Coordinate the preparation and production of business cards and ID cards for staff
· Develop and uphold Saferworld (UK)’s list of trusted suppliers, regularly reviewing and adjusting as necessary in alignment with Saferworld’s procurement policy.
· Add, update and maintain the UK Asset online asset register
· Identify opportunities to improve administrative systems and processes and proactively collaborate to redesign them.
· Collaborate closely with the Global People and Operations teams and ICT to assist in the onboarding and offboarding processes for new staff in our London office.
· Plan staff events, including annual summer and winter socials.
· Assist with renewing global insurance policies and provide administrative support for handling claims, including coordinating with staff and the insurance claims team as necessary.
· Coordinate with the IT team to set up new employees, ensuring the provision of company IT equipment aligns with internal policies.
· Provide administrative support to staff when visiting the UK, including providing visa support letters and making travel bookings in the UK for visiting staff and partners.
· Provide support with the organisational Travel Management Company (TMC), including setting up staff profiles and offering booking guidance.
· Monitor staff travel plans for ICT equipment movement.
· Manage Saferworld's organisational contacts database, including contact import, tagging, and deduplication, in compliance with UK GDPR legislation.
· Maintain an organised and effective filing structure within the internal SharePoint sites where relevant
Management team administrative support (30%)
· Provide administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer when required.
· Assist in preparing and coordinating management team, UK and Saferworld Europe Board meetings, and other committee and leadership meetings. This includes handling documentation, logistical arrangements, ICT setup for remote participation, and supporting travel bookings and expense claims.
· Manage the global Saferworld calendar, ensuring everyone is informed of events and meetings as necessary.
· Undertake miscellaneous tasks as requested by the CEO, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to support organisational needs effectively.

Summary of the role:
We are seeking a new Director who will be responsible for working with the Board to:
i) Develop and deliver of DSN-UK's overall strategy and objectives;
ii) Provide strategic leadership to influence the policy and practice of key stakeholders to further DSN’s vision of a ‘world without caste discrimination’;
iii) Lead overall management of DSN-UK, including management of DSN-UK staff, its finances and other resources.
Main duties and responsibilities:
Leadership and strategy
Responsible for implementing DSN-UK’s strategy through specific campaign, lobbying and advocacy activities, including development of key messages and influencing strategies.
Maintaining partnerships and network support within the UK, with partners in South Asia and international partners.
Conducting joint advocacy at UK/EU/UN level, representing these issues at UK Government level and participating in other joint initiatives as appropriate.
Operational Management
Responsible for the day-to-day management of DSN-UK, including key aspects of its internal administration, particularly providing oversight of financial management, annual budgets and the preparation of regular financial and programme reports for the Board.
Fundraising:
Leading the development and implementation of a fundraising strategy for DSN-UK, preparing funding proposals and reporting to donors on project achievements.
Human Resources:
Managing one part time office administrator and appointing other staff, volunteers and consultants in consultation with the Chair.

What we are looking for in a Director:
1. A track record of successfully working at a senior level with strategic leadership and management responsibilities.
2. Ability to develop organisational strategies and translate them into plans and budgets.
3. Experience of working on issues of social justice/human rights/equality, diversity and inclusion and of campaigning for change.

- Plan and manage the resources and training in its overall design and content development to ensure it remains up to date and engaging and relevant.

Room to Heal is a human rights charity and therapeutic community based in London. We support people who have survived torture and organised violence to rebuild their lives in exile, through an integrated programme of therapeutic and casework assistance. We offer a range of activities including: therapeutic support groups, gardening, individual therapy and casework, cooking and social gatherings, and therapeutic retreats.

About the role
Provide casework support to members of our community who need help with accessing housing, education, training and employment, benefits or asylum support, destitution and financial support, and support with accessing good immigration and asylum legal support. Safe Passage International (SPI) is recruiting a Head of UK Legal Team to lead our ground-breaking legal work in the UK. The UK Legal team works to ensure that safe routes exist for all people seeking asylum. The team specialises in providing free legal advice and representation to unaccompanied children and families seeking asylum in the UK.
The Head of UK Legal Team will be a UK-based qualified solicitor or barrister or OISC Level 3 accredited caseworker or IAAS Supervising Senior caseworker with experience of working within the UK in a legal capacity, specifically in the area of asylum, immigration and refugee family reunion.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead a high performing team of immigration lawyers, casework supervisors, and caseworkers. You will drive the development and delivery of our legal strategy in the UK; supervise all UK legal casework; lead our litigation strategy; develop good practices of line management and regulatory compliance within the team; and lead legal policy work by collaborating closely with colleagues within the UK, France and Greece to create a cohesive, powerful, cross-border legal response and framework.
You will also work closely with the Heads of SPI Greece and France, our International Safeguarding and Protection Manager, Experts by Experience Consultants, and Safe Passage Young Leaders to shape our legal function.
This is a vital role within the senior leadership team of a young and dynamic organisation. We are looking for an experienced leader with a strong strategic vision, an ambitious outlook for our legal work, and a creative and initiative-taking approach to leading and managing our UK legal team.Experience in a similar role would be welcome, but this could also be your first paid position in the charity sector, or you could be returning to work after time out.
