Job description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Night Care Supervisor with experience in care homes, adult health, social care, or community settings to lead our dementia care teams at Dunkirk Memorial House.

Evidence of professional development in dementia care is essential. You will inspire care teams to provide compassionate, high-quality support tailored to each resident’s needs. You will create personalised care plans, promote health and well-being, and ensure that the preferences and choices of residents are central to their care.

Work pattern: 37.5 hours per week, consisting of three 12.5 hour night shifts (19:45 – 08:15), including weekends with salary between £15.22 - £16.36 per hour (inclusive of night allowance).

Please note that we are currently only able to consider applications from candidates who have the legal right to work in the UK. We are unable to sponsor visas at this time.

Key responsibilities of the role:

- Manage shifts effectively to ensure everything runs smoothly and that care is always a top priority.
- Guide and support team members to help them develop professionally.
- Assess individual care needs, create personalised care plans, and ensure the safety and well-being of all residents.
- Oversee medication administration and ensure it’s done safely and accurately.
- Provide compassionate care, particularly in end-of-life situations, offering emotional support to residents and their families.

What we are looking for:

To succeed in this role, you must hold a Level 3 Diploma in Adult Social Care or equivalent and be willing to work towards a Level 3 Team Leader/Supervisory Apprenticeship Standard. Evidence of professional development in dementia care is essential. Experience in care homes, adult health, social care, or community settings is required, along with skills in assessing needs, creating care plans, managing medicines, and providing compassionate end-of-life care.

What we offer:

- 22 days’ paid holiday plus bank holidays, with optional annual leave purchase scheme of up to 5 working days
- Generous pension contributions, with Employer contributions ranging from 6% to 14%, subject to eligibility
- Additional rates for nights, bank holidays and overtime
- Flexible hours to suit your needs
- Affordable and quality meals at reduced cost
- Free on-site parking
- Free enhanced DBS check
- Uniform provided at no cost
- Employee Assistance Programme providing confidential counselling, financial and legal advice
- Exclusive retailer discounts on popular brands
- Range of courses delivered by learning specialists to support your development goals and objectives
