About the Role

We’re looking for an IT & Communications Deputy Lead to help maintain and develop our digital infrastructure across multiple sites. This is a hands-on role where you’ll support networks, cloud systems, AV, telephony, and user services, ensuring reliable and secure IT operations. The role assists with day-to-day operations, routine maintenance, installations, troubleshooting and documentation, ensuring reliable and secure IT services across all sites.

Core Responsibilities to include but not be limited to:

• Maintain and develop IT and communications infrastructure, including networks and cloud systems.
• Provide first and second-line support to staff and guests.
• Assist with installations and routine maintenance of networking, Wi-Fi, VOIP, CCTV, and AV systems.
• Help administer Microsoft 365, device management, and basic cybersecurity controls.
• Keep documentation and asset records up to date.
• Contribute to IT aspects of refurbishment and infrastructure projects.
• Promote good digital security practices.
• Deputise for the IT & Communications Lead when required.

Person Specification

• Practical experience in IT support, networking, or systems administration.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and device management.
• Basic networking understanding (routing, switching, Wi-Fi) and eagerness to learn more.
• Hands-on approach with confidence installing equipment and hardware.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Organised and detail-oriented.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

Experience with fibre, VOIP, CCTV, AV systems, cybersecurity principles and endpoint protection tools, experience in remote, muti-site and estate-based environments and technical certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) or willingness to undertake them.

We are looking for a Salesforce Project Manager to join our Service & Business Improvement team who play a key role in delivering digital transformation across the Age UK network. This role is a maternity cover contract for 12 months. You'll lead the rollout and adoption of Salesforce CRM, managing projects from planning through to delivery. About the role:

This is a hands-on, people-facing role for someone who takes pride in creating spaces that really work. As our Facilities Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind safe, welcoming and well-run workplaces that allow our teams to focus on what matters most - supporting people out of homelessness. No two days will look the same. You’ll manage a small facilities team, oversee reception services, and work closely with colleagues across Single Homeless Project (SHP) to make sure our buildings actively support the work happening inside them.

Job Purpose 

The Operations Officer will support the efficient running of the Trust’s operations, working closely with the Head of Operations and wider team. Key Responsibilities

Age UK is hiring a Senior Funded Delivery Manager! This role will manage the effective delivery of funded programmes, projects or activities, ensuring that these activities are delivered to a high standard, meeting contractual and legal obligations and having impact for older people. MediCinema is a UK-registered charity dedicated to providing cinema experiences inside hospitals to support the emotional, physical and mental health of NHS patients, their families, and carers. For 25 years, we have brought the power of cinema to hospitals, and in recognition of our impact, MediCinema was honoured with BAFTA’s Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema Award at the 2025 EE BAFTA Film Awards.

We build and run fully accessible cinemas within hospitals, screening the latest films at no cost to patients or the NHS. Our services help reduce isolation, stress, and anxiety, enhancing emotional and mental wellbeing while fostering resilience. We support patients of all ages, including dedicated paediatric screenings at several sites.

The Role

Reporting to the CEO, this new senior leadership role is central to ensuring MediCinema’s financial sustainability, operational excellence, and people-centred culture. The Director will lead the charity’s finance, HR, and business operational functions, ensuring robust systems, compliance, and strategic alignment with our mission.

This is a hands-on role for a values-driven leader who thrives in a collaborative, purpose-led environment and is passionate about improving patient experiences through innovative service delivery.

This role will be managing external HR and IT consultants and supported by a part time (1 day per week) assistant.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy

· Participate in strategic and business planning processes, supporting the CEO and trustees to develop the strategic plan

· Serve as a key member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) contributing to the strategic direction and day to day management of the organisation.

Finance

· Lead the finance function, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, management accounts, and statutory reporting.

· Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.

· Manage cashflow, reserves, and risk, supporting strategic financial planning.

· Lead on financial reporting to the Board and relevant committees.

The Person

Experience and Background

We are seeking a strategic leader with experience across finance, operations, and HR — ideally within the UK charity or public health sector. You may have worked in healthcare, education, or social impact organisations, and bring a strong understanding of compliance, governance, and people leadership. Candidates with a relevant background in SMEs may be considered, but will need to demonstrate a commitment to quickly developing the specialist knowledge required by charity regulations and an aptitude for operating within the third sector.

You will be comfortable working in a hands-on, collaborative environment, with a deep respect for MediCinema’s mission and values.

Skills and Qualifications

· Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or AAT)

· Strong understanding of HR, IT, risk management, and governance in small teams

· Proven experience managing budgets, audits, and accounts (Quickbooks experience ideal)

As Operations Manager, you will support the office function and our people, providing key assistance to our teams delivering services. This includes essential organisational support for Information and Communications Technology (ICT), estates management, and related health and safety and risk arrangements.

You will ensure the efficient and effective running of our Age UK York office, and the processes and systems needed to facilitate this. This extends to the other premises used by our organisation, including our charity shops in York.

You will manage a small team of staff, ensuring services are delivered effectively. You will work to meet other managers’ expectations and balance competing business priorities while maintaining high customer service standards. This includes making sure relevant processes meet our National Quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Line management of staff, including Administration and Data reporting roles.
• Work with service managers to align the cross-organisation Business Support function to the developing needs and priorities of our operations. Liaising with external stakeholders, including providers, landlords, suppliers, and partners, in undertaking works and reviewing the effectiveness and value for money.
• Management of our St. Edmunds office and ensuring a safe and effective working environment for all our team and visitors.
• Provide oversight to our shop locations across York, working with our shop teams to ensure suitable, high-quality, and welcoming locations.

The role leads the practical management of the Camden and Westminster occupier ballots, voluntary membership, property forum and targeted engagement activity. About the Role

The Management Accountant will work closely with the Head of Finance to enhance financial services and provide supportive management accounting at Solace. You will work alongside the Assistant Management Accountants to produce accurate and timely internal and external financial reports. 

The Management Accountant will have line management responsibilities for the two Assistant Management Accountants.

In this role, you will prepare monthly income and expenditure reports for more complex allocated projects and the organisation as a whole, the monthly cashflow, funder reports and lead on the preparation of the budget and half yearly forecasting. You will ensure that management accounts are produced within established deadlines with commentary of financial reporting variances. You you will meet regularly with budget holders and be able to explain the accounts to non-finance colleagues. Provide project terms and financial information to the Director of Finance and Business Support and Head of Finance.

As part of your support to our business development plans you will provide fast responses to requests for support for pricing of new bids, grant applications, tenders and provision of other relevant financial information.

As part of the annual statutory reporting you will assist and support in the preparation of the year-end close and audit.

At all times you will support the Head of Finance to develop a business partnering approach between Finance and the widder organisation.

About You

The successful candidate will be a nearly or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CCAB) or qualified by experience and desirably with knowledge of charity SORP reporting requirements, with charity experience on multi projects accounting.

Able to produce accurate reporting on timely manner and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Strong team player as well as working independently. Can work with non-finance budget holders with clear communication skills. Have strong knowledge of Excel and of working with finance systems.
