Job Profile
Role Name: Trusts and Foundation Officer
Reports To: Managing Director, Livingstone Tanzania Trust
Hours 16 hours per week
Salary c£14,500 per annum (Full time c £34,000 per annum for 37.5 hrs per week)
Preferred Start date 13th January 2025
Location: Working from home, with occasional attendance in person
Summary
Livingstone Tanzania Trust (LTT) was set up in 2007. Our vision is to live in a world where every young person has access to a quality education. To achieve this, we focus on infrastructure and resource programmes, developing teachers’ competencies and addressing issues surrounding household poverty.

In addition, as a charity, we aim to support our partners in Tanzania to reduce their dependence on us, which we achieve by building their skills to stand on their own feet. This requires us to share our knowledge and provide mentoring services as our partners grow
Working with a team of three LTT employees, as well as Trustees and supporters the key objectives of the Partnerships team is to:
- Support our ambitious vision: a quality, inclusive education for every child in Tanzania.
- Plan; manage; deliver; monitor and maintain oversight of LTT’s Trust and Foundation fundraising portfolio, activities and opportunities. Target is to raise in excess of £300,000 per annum from UK and International Trusts, Foundations, other Institutional Donors and individuals in 2025-6 and increase by £40,000 a year thereafter.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
This position will focus on sourcing and developing potential national and international funders who provide single and multi-year grants in excess of £10,000 including those who do not accept unsolicited grants.
Duties include:
- Develop and manage opportunity pipelines of prospective funders, planning introductions.
- Write compelling, concise, well-presented, tailored approaches and grant applications in Word and Canva.
- Liaise with the Operations team, to gather the relevant information for grant applications (e.g. data, case studies, imagery etc).
- Ensure systems are kept up to date with all details of grant application documents, progress and outcomes and any other interactions with funders.
- Work with partners in Tanzania to offer them support and guidance
- Draft programme reports for projects for which you have raised funds.
- Contribute with other team members to the organisational budgeting process, by producing a detailed breakdown of opportunities and likelihood of success.
- Contribute to production of key external documents which may impact Trust and Foundation fundraising e.g. Annual Report & Accounts, Impact Report.
- Attend team meetings at least twice a year
- Attend relevant third-party events/training as required.
- Attend and assist with some LTT fundraising events.
- Other related duties as required.
Key Requirements
- Knowledgeable and passionate about International Development/Education
- Understanding and respectful of cultural differences.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a grant fundraising role, with a successful track record of regularly securing 4 and 5 figure grants.
- Knowledge of funding databases and other sources of potential funders.
- Ability to absorb, collate and organise large amounts of information from different sources/channels.
- Ability to select and distil programme information to develop a core message for target funders, aligned to their specific interests.
- Persuasive writing skills – weaving powerful stories with clear evidence of programme impacts.
- Strong IT literacy and adept in making funding applications online.
- Experience of developing fundraising budgets.
- Excellent organisational/planning skills.
- Networking skills.
- Willingness for occasional travel for meetings and events.

About the role
Sightsavers is launching a three-year FCDO-funded initiative to support out-of-school children, especially girls and children with disabilities, in KPK and South Punjab. As Project Officer, you’ll manage activities, donor reporting, and stakeholder relationships, ensuring top-quality project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate activities with partners and stakeholders, ensuring effective planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Manage all aspects of the project cycle, including financial and asset management, reporting, and documentation.
- Manage all aspects of the project cycle with the partners including effective planning, start-up, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, financial and asset management, reporting, documentation and closeout.
- Monitor project activities and recommend corrective measures as needed.
- Build and maintain effective partner relationships, supporting long-term collaboration.
- Identify and facilitate partners’ technical and organisational capacity building needs.
- Promote shared learning and collaboration between partners by facilitating partner networks and meetings.
- Ensure that partners manage and utilize project assets as per Sightsavers’ and/or donor policy.

- Assist in budget preparation and monitor project expenditures.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial returns from partners.
- Manage project assets in accordance with Sightsavers’ and donor policies.

The Project Officer will have a proven track record in managing complex projects, ensuring they are planned, implemented, coordinated, monitored, and evaluated to the highest standards. Your expertise in working with diverse stakeholders, including implementing partners, technical collaborators, and key stakeholders, enables you to effectively coordinate activities and share lessons learned.
Building strong, effective partnerships is second nature to you. You support partners in identifying their technical and organisational capacity-building needs and facilitate access to resources and opportunities. Your commitment to promoting shared learning and collaboration between partners fosters a supportive and innovative project environment.
Jobholder Requirements
Essential:
- Demonstrable experience of implementing education projects, including experience of the disability sector and gender mainstreaming.
- Extensive experience in program management, including budget oversight, reporting, and team leadership.
- Experience in working with international organizations, government bodies, and community-based organisations.
- Familiarity with national legislation and policies in the field of disability and education sectors in Pakistan.
- Experience of designing, managing and carrying out advocacy work for education, social inclusion/disability projects.
- Experience providing technical assistance to other organizations such as implementing partners.
- Knowledge of current issues and best practices in disability, UNCRPD, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Desirable:
- Experience of working for donor funded project in the area of education and social inclusion.

Le Spécialiste en Promotion de l’Hygiène, tout en assurant une collaboration étroite avec le Programme Governance and Policies, les différents types de partenaires et parties prenantes à tous les niveaux d’intervention de WaterAid, aura à assurer la finalisation de la Stratégie Intégrée de Promotion de l’Hygiène (SIPH) selon les principes du Behaviour Centered Design (BCD) ainsi que sa mise en œuvre, son suivi et évaluation. Le/La Spécialiste en Promotion de l’Hygiène aura le profil suivant :
- Soit, diplômé(e) post universitaire en santé publique, en sociologie, en communication ou autre domaine connexe associé
- Soit médecin avec expérience solide en Stratégie de promotion de l’hygiène (Communication pour le Changement de normes sociales relative à la promotion de l’hygiène ainsi qu’en promotion de la santé).
- Au moins 5 années d’expérience dans le domaine de la promotion de l’hygiène pour le changement de comportement à l’échelle.
- Au moins 5 ans d’expérience dans la gestion de projet.
- A moins 5 années d’expérience de collaboration avec les ministères et les parties prenantes à tous les niveaux, les ONGs ou associations et les bailleurs de fonds.
- Au moins 5 années d’expérience en conception de curricula de formation, facilitation et coaching.
- Maîtrise des logiciels informatiques (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Photoshop)
- Montrer une capacité de créativité et attitude d’adaptation et d’apprentissage rapide dans un environnement sous pression, soucieux de l’assurance qualité du programme pays et de respect des deadlines.
Connaissances, aptitudes et compétences requises :
- Maîtrise du français écrit et parlé exigée ;
- Maîtrise de l’anglais écrit et parlé serait un atout majeur.
- Avoir la maîtrise de l’art oratoire et doté d’un esprit créatif.
- Avoir la capacité de prendre des initiatives et de travailler avec un minimum de supervision, dans un environnement pluridisciplinaire, multiculturel, et exigeant.
- Avoir un esprit analytique et de synthèse qui est orienté vers l’atteinte des objectifs assignés tant au niveau pays qu’au niveau de la région de l’Afrique australe et de UK.

About the role
The Reaching the Last Mile Africa (RLM) programme is a significant, intricate initiative spanning multiple countries and years, dedicated to eradicating onchocerciasis and lymphatic filariasis (OV and LF).
The primary objective of this position is to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the RLM programme. This will be achieved by coordinating administrative and support systems, procedures, and sub-teams essential for the programme’s management.
Principle Accountabilities
- Ensure professional support for all external NTD meetings with donors and international partners, including logistics, room bookings, agendas, slides, recording, virtual participation, and minute documentation and distribution.
- Coordinate support for regular internal RLM meetings, such as bi-weekly calls, by managing invites, agendas, and minutes.
- Assist with large-scale events organised by RLM, including drafting and sending invites, liaising with the event organisation team, and supporting agenda and materials development.
- Assemble information for presentations, communications, and reports, and manage internal document storage systems (Microsoft SharePoint and Teams).
- Support the RLM team, NTDs Directorate, and Institutional Funding Team in compiling key donor milestone reports and other programme outputs, coordinating reviews, presentation, and distribution.
- Provide administrative and coordination support to the RLM Systems Strengthening Committee, including liaising with members, scheduling meetings, preparing slides, taking minutes, and ensuring follow-up on action points.
- Provide travel support to the Executive Director, Deputy Director and SPO where requested. Accurately handle all travel arrangements, including hotel reservation, flight reservations and ticket purchases, visas and other immigration requirements
