Position Overview:
The social media Officer will play a pivotal role in shaping Musana’s online presence by leading creative initiatives, setting up digital fundraisers, collaborating with global teams, and managing our social media channels. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker who can craft compelling content that resonates with our audience, aligns with our brand values, amplifies our community engagement, and increases conversions.
Responsibilities:
Strategy:
Lead the social media strategy to build it out further and optimise as we go, which includes:
● Paid and organic social strategies and campaigns that align with our KPIs; Key KPIs include engagement, increase in audience, reach, key conversions
● Content creation management and scheduling for organic and paid social
● Influencer acquisition, contracts, and management
● Blog ideas and content management
● Support key leaders in the thought leadership sector
● Support for UK events
Creative Leadership:
● Lead creative development from the brand side with the content creation team, era92, based in Kampala, Uganda.
● Collaborate with the U.K. Director and U.S. Marketing Director to ensure all social media concepts are relevant, engaging, and aligned with Musana’s goals.
● Stay informed about events, activities, programs, and construction projects happening across Musana locations to share timely and relevant content.
● Build content will capture the attention of our audience and drive engagement. Work closely with internal and external teams to create content that captivates our audience within the first few seconds of viewing.
● Create campaigns, and own start to finish
○ Paid social strategy development and execution
○ Fundraising campaigns through live streaming, peer-to-peer fundraising, host virtual events, strategic ways to share blog content that pivots content into a fundraising effort etc.
○ Influencer campaigns
○ Thought-leadership campaigns
○ Giveaways

Brand Guidelines & Consistency:
● Guarantee that every piece of content, including commenting and messaging, reflects Musana’s model of community development, brand values, brand voice, and brand visual guidelines.
Community Management & Thought Leadership:
● Engage with audiences and communities across social media platforms, responding to inquiries and comments in a timely manner.
● Initiate and participate in conversations with thought leaders, organisations, and key stakeholders to build relationships and enhance Musana’s online presence.
Reporting & Analytics:
● Track social media metrics and insights, providing detailed reports that outline success rates, trends, and areas for improvement.
● Track and report user journey from social to website through use of Google Analytics.
● Use data-driven insights to refine social media strategies and improve future campaigns.
Qualifications:
● Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
● Proven experience in social media management, content creation, and community engagement
● Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices
● Experience with tracking and reporting the user journey from social to website through use of Google Analytics
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Ability to collaborate effectively with global teams and manage multiple projects

BMS World Mission is looking for a talented and motivated Global Team Administrator to join our Department for World Mission. As a vital member of the team, you will provide essential administrative and organisational support to Team Leads and Heads of Programme. Your duties will include communication with overseas partner organisations and supporting the wellbeing of our personnel while they are working overseas through effective administration skills.

We seek a skilled grant writer to help us navigate and access these opportunities, ensuring our projects receive the support needed to continue transforming lives. We are looking for an experienced Fundraising Events Co-ordinator to assist in the smooth running and successful management of our well established and growing events portfolio. Working with our dynamic events team you will be instrumental in ensuring that all World Jewish Relief events are of the highest standard and delivered with immaculate care and precision. This role is critical in ensuring that World Jewish Relief continues to grow and engage a wide-ranging audience, raising funds in support of our inspirational projects and programmes worldwide.
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting the events team in the planning, coordinating, administration and delivery of World Jewish Relief events including our flagship Annual Dinner.
- Managing and leading on the planning of smaller engagement and fundraising events both in person and online.
- Supporting and overseeing World Jewish Relief’s Young Committee by assisting with the delivery of their events and attending committee meetings
- Liaising with colleagues and partners to organise supporter Insight Trips: creating itineraries, booking transport and managing all details.
- Supporting and assisting donors who are planning events to raise funds for World Jewish Relief.
- Working with the communications team to organise World Jewish Relief’s participation at communal events and attend these events.
- Managing and leading on stewardship of World Jewish Relief runners in the London Marathon and other challenge event activities.
- Working with the fundraising and marketing team to launch and deliver a new fundraising initiative supporting World Jewish Relief's Home Repairs programmes in Ukraine.
You should have:
- Proven experience in event planning, coordination and delivery to a high standard, preferably within the non-profit sector.
- Demonstrable knowledge of event fundraising techniques and sector trends.
- Experience using a database (ideally Raiser’s Edge) to the highest level, both to record and analyse information.
- Experience in successfully managing numerous priorities at one time, meeting tight and non-negotiable deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Excellent administrative skills, impeccable accuracy and attention to detail.
- The ability to use your own initiative, make quick and independent decisions where necessary and to work under pressure.

The Role
Key Targets
- Recruitment of new partners to fund Islamic Help programmes.
- Successfully maintain partnerships with organisations, including good partnership care involving field visits, reporting, proposal development etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of the Institutional Funding and Partnership Manager:
- To lead on identification of partnerships in the UK, Europe, Asia and North America.
- Lead in the mapping of potential donors and partners.
- Conduct detailed desk research on potential donors and partners.
- Develop seasonal proposals including Ramadan, Winter, Qurbani and whenever there are emergencies.
- Carry out regular field visits to potential donors/partners to explain our expertise and interests.
- Categorise partners based on their structure, expertise, geographical location, and interest.
- Update database by collecting, recording and uploading information of potential partnerships, to the highest degree of accuracy.
- Support the organisational capacity assessment of potential partnerships.
- Support operational and technical staff as needed in the organisation and facilitate capacity assessments for potential partnerships.
- Participate in the sub-award proposals review and approval process as needed.
- Ensure excellent relations with key partners and put in place systems that maintain them.
- Ensure a high level of co-ordination with partners and other stakeholders to ensure the planning and implementation of projects according to approved proposals.
- Supervise co-ordination with partners to achieve project deliverables.
- Meet donor partners regularly to monitor progress; share lessons learned, experiences, observations, obstacles and to review and update project plans of actions if needed.
- Drafting agreements with donor partners.
- General administrative support within the team and the International Programmes & Partnerships Department.
