Job description

We have an opportunity for new trustees to join our board and support our strategy development and continue our peacebuilding work in complex environments.Being a Saferworld trustee is a valuable experience, where the post-holder can use their leadership and experience to influence the organisation's future direction.

As a trustee you will have a high level of personal integrity and be committed to Saferworld’s vision, mission, values and approach to peacebuilding. You will be responsible for ensuring the charity is carrying out its purpose for the public benefit and complying with our governing document law. The person we are looking for will be proactive, creative and be able to commit to a minimum of 3 years.

We are therefore particularly interested in hearing from individuals with competence and interest in the following areas:

  • Fundraising/financial/corporate management
  • Communications and advocacy
  • Human resources
  • Organisational management / governance experience in the charitable sector
  • all candidates who would bring substantial reelvant experience and expertise.
