IT Manager

We have an excellent opportunity for a permanent IT Manager to make a major contribution to the success of the leading professional body for librarians and information professionals.
This is a fantastic role working with a small team for a forward-thinking and ambitious charity. The role needs someone with a hands-on, positive attitude to getting things done, and working collaboratively to facilitate the provision of IT solutions which enable CILIP to harness the new capabilities of digital and data achieved through the Digital Improvement programme. The role needs someone adaptive, flexible, and able to lead/manage change. We are looking for an excellent IT professional who champions the use of technology to improve organisational performance and customer experience.
The ideal candidate will have a broad experience in delivering digital improvement programmes for organisations through proactive business partnering, and will possess integrity, resilience and the ability to communicate effectively with employees, management and external stakeholders. The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Ensure smooth functioning of IT and digital systems across the organisation
- Provide user support, including issue resolution and proactive identification of issues
- Act as a digital champion, optimising existing and planned systems and platforms
- Assist in developing incident response procedures, disaster recovery plans and cyber security policies
- Work as part of the cross-organisational ‘digital team’ to integrate platforms, refine procedures and support departments in utilising IT tools effectively
- Prioritise data security and uphold the maintenance of system backups
- Maintain relationships with external IT support contractor, suppliers and supervise external engineers

Data Engineer
£42,000-£45,000 (dependent on skills and experience) plus generous benefits
Location – Hybrid working split between the Foundation’s office in London and home.
We are the Football Foundation - the Premier League, the FA and government’s charity that delivers outstanding grassroots facilities, more and better places to play, transforming lives and communities where it is needed most.
To help us with this important mission, we currently have vacancies for a Data Engineer to work within the Data & Insight team. This key role will help the Foundation develop its Data Warehouse environment by integrating various data sets efficiently, cleaning the data and optimising query performance to enable deeper and more meaningful analysis. In addition, this role will also be a key contact with funding partners to maintain effective data sharing between them.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer with experience working in a similar role to demonstrate their knowledge and expertise and make a difference in how grassroots community football analyses data.

What are we looking for?
We would love to hear from you if you have strong experience working with SQL Server technologies (SSIS, SSRS, T-SQL, Power BI). You will also have knowledge and experience utilizing Java, Python, JavaScript preferable.
We’re looking for a team player with an understanding of the analysis and interpretation of data and its application in a business context to join our Data & Insight Team.
You don’t need to follow football to apply, but it is expected that you appreciate the power of sport to change lives and have a genuine interest in using your skills and experience to help the Foundation achieve our charitable and strategic objectives.

What can we offer you?
The salary band for this role is £42,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.
You will start on 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (which increases after 2 years), plus additional time off to volunteer. As a Youth Tech Abuse Lead you will provide specialist support to Refuge’s children support workers and frontline staff to ensure children, young people, and protective parents are using technology safely and positively in our refuges. You will increase understanding and awareness of your colleagues on tech-facilitated abuse and how to identify and respond to risks. Approximately 40% of the role focuses on working directly with children and young people and their parents in empowerment workshops, and 60% of the role will focus on capacity building and training frontline staff.
You will work closely Senior Programme Manager – Children and Young People, deputising for them in ensuring the voices of children and young are central to the development of services and Refuge’s systemic change initiatives.
The role does require a particular focus on supporting survivors of tech-facilitated abuse under the age of 18, this would require developing and delivering tech-facilitated abuse and online safety workshops to children, young people, and protective parents in refuges across London.
This post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.
