Job description

Merton Mencap is an independent leading local charity providing a range of innovative services and activities for children, young people and adults with learning disabilities and autism and their parents and carers in the London borough of Merton.

We seek a talented professional to manage our services for young people and adults with learning disabilities/autism. The successful applicant will join the charity’s senior management team, contributing to the overall direction of the charity.

Applicants should have direct experience of supporting people with learning disabilities/autism, excellent people management skills, knowledge of care planning, risk assessing and being responsible for managing high quality services.  Essential is the ability to manage conflicting priorities, being flexible and working efficiently in a busy environment.
