Job description

Tenant Access to Information Lead
Location: Birmingham B15 1LZ
Salary: £36,390 per annum
Hours: 35 per week
Contract: Permanent

As a leading housing organisation, we're always thinking ahead about how our tenants remain at the heart of what we do – which leads us to establish two new roles which are key to improving access to information for Tenants, fostering an environment of transparency across the frontline services we deliver.

As a Tenant Access to Information Lead, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end management and governance of fulfilling Social Tenant Access to Information Requirements (STAIR) requests, providing tenants with access to information regarding their tenancy and housing conditions. Utilising your excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, you'll work closely with operational teams and tenants to process requests.  You'll also support wider tenant access to information initiatives by providing analysis on key reasons for tenants requesting access, encouraging proactive sharing of information.

This is a unique opportunity to join an organisation that is proud to be an early adopter of Tenant Access to Information services!

Our ideal candidate? We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive person, with the following experience:

  • Experience within a role related to Antisocial Behaviour, Income, Estates, Lettings or Neighbourhood Management with a Housing setting; OR, experience with Freedom of Information Requests, Subject Access Requests or Data Protection.
  • Applied understanding of GDPR, Data Protection and Subject Access Requests.
  • Experience of using Excel and PowerBI for analysis and reporting.
  • Experience of building collaborative relationships and networks with a variety of stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes for customers.
  • Experience of interfacing with customers in person, in writing and over the phone.

We're a Smart Working organisation where you can expect to be present in the office for 3 days a week. In a role where effective collaboration with stakeholders across the business is key, this is important to us. We're happy to discuss individual needs, such as childcare or other caring responsibilities, to understand how we can support you in the role.

Who are Midland Heart? We're one team working together for our tenants; a large and ambitious housing organisation providing more people an affordable place to call home. We welcome people from every walk of life, at every stage of their career. We expect a lot from our people but in return you can be assured of a great place to work, where you will be well rewarded and where great people are able to succeed. Whether you want to build your career with us, or use your experience to move on, we're here to develop your potential.

We are proud to say we have recently been named in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work list, within the Big Organisations category (The Times).
