Job Title: Employment Consultant (North Wales)

Location: Home-based with significant travel across designated region

Salary: £32,208 (+ cost of living increase in October 2025)

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week (part time or flexible working options considered)

Contract: 2 years fixed term with possibility of extension

At the Poppy Factory, we help armed forces veterans with health conditions to find meaningful and sustainable employment after service. This often means overcoming significant barrier to employment. Our aim is to empower veterans, help them to recognise their unique skills and give them the confidence to move forwards in their career.

As an Employment Consultant, you will be assisting veterans across the region back into work. Based at your home, but with extensive travel, you will help with application materials, overcome challenges, and connect with employers. You will also work alongside professionals in other services such as health or welfare to ensure that the veterans have access to all the support they need to overcome barriers to gain and retain employment.

• This is hugely varied role and no two days are the same. You will often need to balance competing priorities or quickly shift focus depending on the needs of the people you will be supporting.
• Experience of and confidence in supporting people with complex challenges such as, health issues, substance use, insecure housing, criminal records, or other barriers to employment.
• You will be an emotionally resilient individual who can effectively navigate challenging circumstances and provide unwavering support to those in need.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use Customer Relationship Management systems to ensure efficient and secure storage of information.
• Represent SAT-7 UK at conferences and events as required.

How are staff supported to work remotely? 

VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community.

About this exciting opportunity

Our successful candidate will provide operational management and effective leadership to a team of Financial Wellbeing Coaches (FWCs) and Peer Advisor volunteers employed in the delivery of one or more contracts awarded by the HMPPS to deliver Finance, Benefit and Debt (FBD) services in Wales.

We will count on you to set performance objectives and monitor progress – ensuring compliance with contractual performance indicators and quality improvement, and to monitor and manage all aspects of delivery and performance.

This key role will also involve managing partnerships, developing and maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders, and managing and coordinating allocated resources, including volunteers and spot purchase funds.  Ensuring there is a safe and trusting working environment for staff and working closely with other St Giles Wise Managers to ensure consistency of approach and sharing of best practice are also key duties.

• Experience of working in, or managing, services supporting challenging people

• Experience working in or managing multi-agency partnerships working towards common objectives 

• Hold a relevant qualification, or be able to provide evidence of training at specialist level in money and/or welfare benefits advice

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Head Chef to join our team at Lister House Care Home in Ripon, North Yorkshire.

As Head Chef, you will lead our catering team and ensure every resident enjoys nutritious and delicious meals.

Key responsibilities:

- Plan, prepare, and serve well balanced, nutritious meals to cater a variety of dietary needs within agreed standards and budgets
- Lead and manage catering staff and the dining supervisor, ensuring a positive and safe working environment

About the role

Thousands of people in our communities are affected by breast cancer, and many of these are compelled to help by fundraising for Breast Cancer Now. To enable us to best support our network of fundraisers, and create a leading sector programme, we've just reconfigured our relationship fundraising team.

There is now an opportunity for a community fundraising executive to join the London, South and Wales team.

In this busy and exciting supporter-facing role, you’ll provide stewardship to our brilliant fundraisers, organising events from bake sales and balls to tractor runs and sponsored walks. And, alongside the other community fundraiser executives, you’ll be the first point of contact for supporters, playing a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of the programme.

Through excellent relationship management, you’ll inspire our supporters to see through their fundraising plans, raise as much as possible and continue to support the charity in a way that’s right for them.

Reporting into an experienced community fundraiser, you’ll be nurtured and developed in your role. And have the opportunity to develop relationships with a wide variety of supporters, from individuals and volunteers to clubs, societies, groups and local companies.

Permanent, full time (35 hours a week)

Location: This role requires attendance in Scopes Leeds office ( LS10 1JF) with the remaining days worked remotely.

The hours for this role will be varied over shift patterns between 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 6pm Saturdays.

There are two positions available.

The role

We are looking for a self-starter with the ability to prioritise their own workload whilst advising Scope’s helpline customers. To provide support to helpline customers, supporters and donors and Scope enquiry customers.

In this role, you will:

· Provide consistent high-quality responses to enquiries received at Scope’s Helpline via telephone, email, live chat, our online community, and social networking channels, within set turnaround times.

· Ensure that customers feel valued and are provided with information that is tailored to meet individual need, is accurate, up to date and accessible to them.

· Provide excellent customer service with a friendly and empathetic manner.

· Continually update your knowledge around disability issues and to share learning across the team, to offer an expert service to Scope’s customers.

· Identify the correct person/department and efficiently transfer calls internally when customers ring with general enquiries.

· Ensure that details of all enquiries are logged accurately on the customer database in a timely manner and that quality data and information is maintained.

· Work within Scope’s policies relating to customer confidentiality and data protection.

· Follow Scope’s policy and process around safeguarding and to make decisions regarding relevant customers as appropriate.

· Promote Scope and its values around equality, inclusion and the social model of disability and to present a positive image of the organisation in all aspects of work.

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

This wide-ranging and varied role will play a key role in building a strong base of support to maximise philanthropic income for the School, as we head into our exciting Centenary celebrations.

By supporting meaningful relationships with major donors and prospects (individuals, grant funders and corporate partners) this role will directly contribute to securing the transformational support needed to sustain the School’s excellence and ensure its legacy for the next century. SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:

This role will support the delivery of the Royal Ballet School’s mission to train and educate classical ballet dancers to the highest possible standards and to provide an accessible resource for students, teachers and the wider community.

As a key part of the newly formed Development Team, the post will be supporting the team with engagement, cultivation and solicitation of donors and prospects with a particular focus on those capable of making major gifts in the UK and internationally.

MAIN DUTIES:

Research and Briefings:

• Support with prospect research to identify and qualify potential funders (individuals, grant funders and corporate partners), both in the UK and internationally.
• Prepare high-quality briefing notes to support senior staff and trustees in donor meetings, cultivation activities, and solicitation efforts. 

Proposal and Presentation Preparation:

• Assist in drafting compelling fundraising proposals, presentations, reports and pitch materials tailored to potential supporters, ensuring alignment with the School’s values and funding priorities.

Administrative and CRM Support:

• Coordinate and minute internal team meetings and ensure actions are tracked and delivered on schedule. Act as Development lead on updating and maintaining the School’s CRM system with accurate and concise entries to track donor cultivation and stewardship, along with data import and export.

Corporate Partnership Delivery:

• Support the team to deliver corporate partnership benefits and reporting
• Support year round communications with relationship managers.

Meeting Support - Prospect Focus:

• Support the planning and delivery of cultivation meetings with prospective donors with a specific focus on the coordination of invitations, materials, and follow-up for prospects.

Proposal Tracking and KPI Reporting:

• Maintain up-to-date records of proposals submitted, outcomes, and timelines, ensuring timely follow-ups and contributing to performance reports.
