We are looking for an experienced Volunteering Development Manager to join our charity - this is a new role for the organisation, and will be a great opportunity to shape and develop volunteering across our 54 libraries and support teams.

The Volunteering Development Manager will be responsible for leading the implementation of a comprehensive volunteer strategy aligned with library goals and community needs, ensuring consistent best practice, digital transformation of volunteer management systems, and inclusive, high-quality experience to grow our network of around 700 volunteers. They will lead on the design and delivery of the volunteer journey, including recruitment, training, induction, performance, and support of volunteers, coaching and advising Supervisors to ensure consistency.

We are looking for someone with proven experience delivering a volunteering strategy across a multi-site or multi-service organisation (ideally > 500 volunteers). You should have experience of implementing and/or managing a volunteer management system or leading digital process change, and experience building consistent practice and culture across dispersed teams.
