The role of the Head of Fundraising and Partnerships is to work alongside the Director of Operations in developing the day-to-day sustainable income strategy to fund the New Wine Trust's day-to-day operations.
Partnerships
· You will be responsible for developing our relationship with key ministry partners. This includes negotiating contracts with sponsors, partners, and delivery partners. It will include but not be limited to:
o Developing Event Sponsorship and Exhibitor offerings at New Wine Events
o Growing Annual Partnerships with key partners
Fundraising
· In partnership with the Director of Operations, National Leadership and Trustees, you will also be responsible for creating and delivering a New Wine Fundraising Strategy. This will include:
o Working alongside the Marketing and Communications team to develop supporter engagement communications.
o Developing plans that feed into the New Wine Fundraising strategy to increase engagement from high net-worth individuals and cultivate new high-value donors.
o To manage the major donor income and expenditure budgets, ensuring all activity meets income targets.
o Championing the use of our CRM for supporter engagement.
o Reviewing, writing and submitting proposals for grant applications.
o Overseeing the delivery of the charity’s fundraising events.
Business Development
· Identifying new revenue generation opportunities, such as
o New Wine Online
o New Wine Resources (Books, Music and Merch Sales)
o Cafes and Concessions at Events

Role Particulars
Working Pattern: Full time working hours, including weekly in-person team meetings in London: monthly all-staff meetings on Tuesdays twice a month, and weekly on Wednesdays twice a month. The nature of this role means that some travel and working away from home will be required, as agreed in advance. Specifically, the Head of Fundraising and Partnerships must be available for the annual leadership conference and some or all of the New Wine annual summer festival (on-site or remote support).
Places of work: This role is eligible for hybrid and flexible working, with a minimum of 1 day in the London office a week.
Supervision: The post holder will receive regular supervision from their line manager.
Role review: There is a three-month probationary period for this role. The post holder will then receive a quarterly rolling review of performance, the role, job description, terms and package.

We are looking for a capable and creative individual to join the leadership of Resurgo, with oversight of strategy development and implementation, finance and governance. The important stuff
Salary: from £65,000, flexible dependent on experience

Person Specification
- An active Christian, passionate about personally representing the values and beliefs of Resurgo, and a demonstrated commitment to social impact and our mission to play a meaningful part in the repair of our social fabric
- Strong strategic thinking and business and financial acumen – experience in a management consulting or financial management role is essential
- Self-motivated forward planner with the ability to navigate complex fast-moving environments, adapt to changing circumstances, and exercise initiative, with a track record of driving growth and achieving results
- Financially literate, with experience overseeing strategic financial processes, e.g., budgeting, financial management and resource allocation
- Good IT skills with a working knowledge of Salesforce and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. An awareness of charity regulatory and compliance requirements is beneficial
- Strong proven leadership skills and the ability to relate confidently to a range of audiences
- Relational team player with high emotional intelligence, a sense of humour and fun, and the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development and Implementation
- Leading the organisation through the iterative development and implementation of strategic projects to serve the ambition of Resurgo, to “inspire and equip organisations to deliver ambitious and sustainable social change”
- Provide direction and support to Heads of Department, setting them up to succeed in the implementation of ambitious plans
- Line management of the Strategy Managaer, who project manages and drives the delivery of annual departmental targets and strategic projects across the organisation.
Finance
- Line management of Head of Finance, providing strategic leadership in the development of the finance function and oversight of organisational financial management
- Lead the annual planning process, working with the Head of Finance and Director of People, Culture & Operations to shape and deliver annual financial planning
Oversight of Governance, Risk and Opportunity
- Executive Chair of the Strategy, Finance and Risk steering group, owning the most significant risks and opportunities facing Resurgo at an organisational level, ensuring actions are taken to mitigate risks and that we are set up to maximise opportunity
- Responsible for overseeing governance structures and ensuring they are fit for purpose as the organisation develops and grows
- Supporting the Executive Assistant to the CEO in the facilitation of the effective running of the Boards of Resurgo Trust and Resurgo Consulting, including planning and overseeing Board and key Steering Group meetings.
Active Participation in and Support for Resurgo’s team and mission
- Help build and develop Resurgo’s ethos and Christian life as a team member, including leading and contributing to daily team prayer meetings as an integral part of Resurgo’s operation and for the success of its mission

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
Strategy, vision and impact [25%]
- Be at the forefront of leading Resurgo’s ‘big picture’ vision of a transformed society, empowering churches to transform young lives
- Build and implement a strategy for developing relationships with local referral agencies to ensure effective recruitment of young people onto the Spear programme
- Oversee the reporting of the Centre outcomes and ensure the Spear Programme is delivered in line with agreed targets
Leadership, line management and training [25%]
- Lead your team with confidence; spurring them on in Resurgo’s mission; invest in a team culture of excellence, belonging and fun
- Manage and develop the Lead Coach and Graduate Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development. This includes weekly 1:1s, performance reviews and regular feedback
- Equip your team to drive change through a data informed approach, and keep them accountable to agreed targets for the Spear Programme
Relationship management [20%]
- Manage great relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, donors, and your Board of Trustees
- Embed into your local church; working closely with your Spear Trustees and congregation, and actively participating in their mission and events
- Partner with the Spear Trustees and assist in implementing their funding strategy by helping to build corporate and donor relationships. For example, by hosting prospective donors in the Training Room
Delivery of the Spear Programme [20%]
- Support group and 1-1 coaching with numerous 16-24-year-olds: equipping them with practical work-ready skills and resilient mindsets
- Provide guidance to the Lead Coach in the training room when dealing with behavioural and safeguarding situations and upskill coaches with consistent coaching feedback
- Use a coaching approach to engage young people in challenging conversations that will enable them to take responsibility and over significant barriers to employment
Operations [10%]
- Liaise with relevant staff regarding site operations and work to resolve any issues as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies
