Field Lane is a charity providing care and support for a diverse range of service users, including adults with learning disabilities, vulnerable families – many of who are homeless – and people in need of additional support to stay in their own home or with their families.

Who we’re looking for: 

We are seeking a skilled HR Manager to oversee human resources functions across Field Lane. We are looking for someone with thorough understanding of HR Policy and Procedures and relevant regulation in health and social care. As the HR Manager you will consistently deliver a pro-active and professional HR service to the business through developing effective partnerships with project leads & Senior Management.

Responsibilities: 

Recruitment & Selection 
 
The role of HR Manager will review all recruitment processes and practices to ensure all vacancies are filled in the most cost efficient way and within the shortest time possible. The HR function will be responsible for identifying effective and appropriate recruitment methods for all vacancies. 
 
Employee Relations 
 

• Taking a lead whilst advising and supporting managers on all Employee Relations issues, including performance management; sickness & absence; disciplinary & grievance procedures. 
   

• Ensuring the grievance and disciplinary procedures are adhered to by all staff and to empower the Operations Team to undertake investigations & hearings.  
   

• Experience of reviewing current practices and where needed looking at standardized practices.   
   

• Reviewing and updating the equality and diversity strategy, making recommendations on best practice and legislation. 
   

• To monitor staff turnover and ensuring that exit interviews are carried out, analysing and reporting on findings. 
   

Management Responsibility 
 
As the HR lead, you will ensure the HR department is always customer focused, delivering a good service to the organisation and pro-actively driving forward the people management strategy. You will also attend management meetings where strategic and higher-level operational input are required. 
 
Staff Training & Development 
 
Collaborate with senior managers to identify and develop staff training needs and where possible implement effective training programs.

HR Policy & Procedures 
 
To ensure terms and conditions and policies and procedures are up-to-date and comprehensive with regard to legislation and best practice. 

Other key areas of focus include: 

• Manage employee reward and wellness program, as well as looking at ways to add more initiatives.

• Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with the company's values. 

• Conduct regular HR audits to ensure compliance and best practices. 

• Drive employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale and productivity 

• Review and manage the performance management plan. 

Requirements: 

• Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role. 

• Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment laws. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively. 

• Experience managing HR functions across multiple businesses is preferred. 

• CIPD qualification or equivalent is desirable.

A great sense of humour will serve you in good stead working in our busy, fast paced office.

About the role 

We're looking for a highly motivated and skilled Bid Manager who can actively craft commercial tender submissions and work with the team to ensure we submit high-quality, winning bids within UK government procurement rules.

You will sit in the Business and Strategy directorate and lead bid-writing across the organisation, line-managing a team of Bid Writers and working closely with other colleagues across Business Development, Marketing and Operations.

This position is a full-time, 35 hours a week, permanent contract with a starting salary between £44,500 - £50,000 per annum depending on skills and experience. Role: Centre Manager

Salary: £32,000

Scope and Purpose:

As Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the property, grounds and vehicles and manage the on-site facilities team and volunteers, leading them to support & deliver an exceptional Go Beyond experience for children who come on our Breaks. These are residential breaks for small groups of children aged 8-13, who stay with us Monday to Friday during most weeks throughout the year. Delivery of the breaks will be managed by the Team Leader and their team.

You will ensure the centre is operated and maintained in accordance with all relevant legislation, making sure we are safe, secure, and compliant. We have ambitions to develop our site and you will help us with continual improvement and improving our environmental and sustainability practices.

The role includes the facilities management of the centre to facilitate delivery of daily operations, including children’s activities. We aim to maximise the use of the centre and generate income. Your role will be pivotal in raising our profile in the local community, encouraging people to use our centre, supporting potential events, third-party use of our facilities and including the small, self-contained cottage which we let.

You will lead the local team including; Team Leaders, Maintenance, Housekeeping and Centre Cook along with volunteers (including groups of corporate volunteers who help us with on-site tasks). Ensuring not only the buildings, grounds and on-site activity areas are always at their best and ready to be enjoyed but ensuring the centre is kept clean and welcoming for our visitors and that our children and receive a healthy, nutritious meal during their stay. As a charity, we need to make sure this is all kept within budget.

You will need to be financially astute with a keen eye for detail and have practical and working knowledge of general building and estate management, HACCP, COSHH, Legionella, Asbestos, Fire Safety, Risk Assessment and Waste & contractor Management.

You will have a sound knowledge of Safeguarding and understand the importance of how activities can develop curiosity, confidence, resilience and communication skills in children and young people.

You will be a proactive, independent thinker able to manage themselves and lead a team to inspire and ensure Go Beyond provide the best opportunities to young people whilst they are visiting our centres.

Key responsibilities

Operations:

• Responsible for assessing risks, ensuring Health & Safety compliance, asset management, planning, and delivering action plans and regularly reviewing these.
• Responsible for ensuring all contractors are fully inducted and follow the site safeguarding protocol.
• Responsible for Contract management including reviews and renewals.
• To manage the onsite Housekeeping, Maintenance, Catering personnel and Team Leaders including; managing performance, target setting, planning staff training needs, cascading operational objectives, and managing leave and absences.
• Develop, implement and review the Land Management and Centre Management plans.

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to cover parental leave. 

The successful candidate will have accountability for several key areas of operational delivery of BITC’s programmes across England, Scotland and Wales. This role will ensure the high quality and consistency of performance through these aspects of operational delivery and development, working closely with businesses, internal stakeholders and external partners. This role is responsible for leading and managing a high-performing team, delivering programmes and contractual obligations across their patch. The post holder will lead on driving programme/contractual performance (both KPI’s and financial) motivating and inspiring the team.  They will also have responsibility for ensuring continued funding from key partners and securing new income; monitoring and reporting on this important activity as it contributes to BITC's vision within a set geographical area or programme/project areas.

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will:​​

• Work on the development of technical frameworks, guidelines, standards, certification or audit processes relevant for implementing regulation for children’s rights in the digital environment at international, EU and UK levels. Person specification​

Remuneration and details​

• Location: Remote position with employee contract in UK or Belgium. Hybrid working in 5Rights’ London and Brussels co-working office spaces is available.​

PURPOSE OF JOB 

• To deliver a range of stalking training courses to Trust clients, work with internal experts to ensure course content is kept up to date, provide consultancy project support, and collaborate with a range of statutory and non-statutory clients and stakeholders.

We are seeking an experienced and influential leader to join us as our new Chief Executive.  You will play a critical role in leading the organisation and representing PATA and its members in the ever-evolving Early Education and Children’s Play sectors.

PATA is the largest voluntary sector provider of support to the Early Years and Play (Out of School) sector in Gloucestershire.  We are a Charity based in Gloucester with around 170 member settings and manage five of our own Early Years settings (PATA Managed Groups (PMGs)).  Our mission is to support the development of high quality and accessible early education, play and provision for children, young people and their families.

At its heart, PATA is a people-based organisation and you will be joining a strong and committed team, both in the Head Office and the PMGs.  You will lead the organisation, working with the Board of Trustees in setting the strategic vision, mission and priorities.  You will be a voice for PATA and its members, building partnerships, participating in consultation processes, and challenging policy and other initiatives for the benefit of the sector, as and when appropriate.

The role is part time, 21 hours per week, 42 weeks annually, to be worked flexibly to meet business need, as agreed with the Chair of Trustees and in association with the Senior Management Team. Head of Lotteries and Gaming

The Head of Lotteries and Gaming will lead the charities Lotteries and Gaming team which has the goal of generating and inspiring support from both new and existing supporters.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop a clear vision and strategy to deliver sustainable income growth within the Lotteries and Gaming channel.
• Drive and oversee all day-to-day activity around lotteries and gaming, ensuring campaigns are effectively coordinated and that broader teams are enabled to support delivery
• Proactively find ways to increase the impact of the Lottery and Raffle income streams by developing and testing new approaches to player recruitment, retention and engagement
• Take ownership of and oversee day-to-day lottery administration processes

• Experience of delivering income growth within Individual Giving through prize led fundraising, whilst delivering excellent service to all donors.

• Experience of leading and managing teams, and motivating, and developing team members.

About the role

We're looking for a highly motivated and skilled Business Development Manager with a passion for relationship building and service sales. Someone who can actively engage and work with our existing client portfolio and win new business through formal tendering opportunities to ensure VoiceAbility remains a provider of choice.

In this new role, you will sit in the Business and Strategy directorate working proactively with external stakeholders and colleagues from across the organisation to ensure that we grow our portfolio of contracts, re-win existing business and advise clients of new services. You will be doing a mixture of new business sales and account management of existing services.

This position is a full-time, 35 hours a week, permanent contract with a starting salary between £39,000 - £46,500 per annum depending on skills and experience. Role: Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager
Reporting to: Senior Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager
Purpose of job: To work as a key part of the Philanthropy and Partnerships Team, line managed by the Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager, and accountable to the Museum’s Director. This role will bring in vital income from trusts, foundations, corporate partners and individuals to deliver the business plan. This role has responsibility for achieving income targets by collaborating across all departments to understand and translate fundable and core activities into compelling cases for support.
Working pattern: 35 hours per week, usually worked from 10 – 6pm. Flexible/hybrid working offered for up 40% of hours to be worked from home.
Contract: Permanent
Salary: c£36,000-38,000 depending on experience

Who we are looking for:

Key objectives in first 6 months:

Supporter Identification, Communication and Cultivation

• Identify, research and develop a pipeline of trusts and foundations prospects, ensuring that relationships are well managed and planned for first, second and third requests for funding, as appropriate.
• Identify, research and approach corporate partnership prospects to support agreed priorities such as exhibitions and programmes

The Philanthropy & Partnerships team
In Autumn 2023, Foundling Museum delivered a successful, ambitious capital campaign to secure the future of the Museum through a variety of supporters, from individuals, major supporters and trusts/foundations.
The Philanthropy team is responsible for the funding revenue needs of the Museum, which for 2024-25 is c£800,000, making up approximately 36% of total income.
The post of Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager will deliver against personal targets toward this goal. Remaining income includes Arts Council England National Portfolio funding, NLHF funding, core earned income (admissions) and trading activities (retail and venue hire).
The Philanthropy and Partnerships team collaborates closely with the Director, Chair of Trustees and Development Consultants and across all departments to understand and translate fundable and core activities into compelling cases for support. Across a year the team raises vital income for exhibitions, learning and participation activities, events, capital projects, an established endowment fund and unrestricted revenue income.
