This is an exciting time for the trusts team at Sue Ryder. Following a highly successful year, the team has grown its pool of supporters and is recruiting for one new member to join an existing team of four, including this post. As well as nurturing and reporting to loyal supporters, this role will focus on raising additional trust and foundation gifts of up to £10,000, helping us achieve our new organisational, five-year strategy.
About you:
A proactive fundraiser, with experience of cultivating and securing gifts up to £10,000 and a passion for building and maintaining support. You will have excellent attention to detail, strong written and verbal skills and a talent for establishing rapport. You will relish connecting trust donors to brilliant projects that require funding and be motivated by the opportunity to maintain personalised relationships with them.
About the role:
This role plays an important part in cultivating and stewarding grant givers to support Sue Ryder’s work. It offers the post-holder the chance to increase their knowledge and experience through working on a wide range of local and national fundraising propositions. With a new strategy in place, innovative and much-needed services launching and supported by a friendly team, the role provides considerable scope for a fundraiser to develop in a successful and expanding national team.

The role of the Senior Digital Marketing Executive is to ensure we provide a great supporter experience to any person, company or organisation who donates to the Epilepsy Society and to help the fundraising and marketing teams increase our number of supporters and fundraisers through digital acquisition.
As part of the Charity’s in-house marketing agency, you will support in responding to briefs from other departments and work closely with their teams to create and deliver marketing plans which deliver on revenue and strategic priorities. You will also work closely with multiple stakeholders, including our digital agency and the other teams within the Fundraising and Marketing Department and the wider organisation.
This role involves supporting various digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, email marketing, content creation, and data analytics. The postholder will be responsible for a range of tasks to support the efficient and effective running of a fundraising and marketing team dealing directly with donors at all levels to ensure they have the best donor experience. We need someone to help us to reach new people online, drive income and build an enhanced online supporter experience.
There is flexibility within the role; with a hybrid working approach of 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. This is an exciting time to join the team as a Trust Fundraiser and help support income growth so that more young wheelchair users can get the help they need.
As Trust Fundraiser you will have the opportunity to support the growth of income from warm and cold Trusts. You will research trusts, create and send applications and manage relationships with existing funders including preparing donor reports and showcasing the work of Whizz Kidz.

Over 75,000 young people aren’t getting the wheelchair or support that fully meets their needs. Without the ability to be independent young wheelchair users are restricted in their ability to socialise and participate in society.

The Team
The Trusts and Foundations Team is part of the Fundraising, Marketing and Communications Department and is central to Whizz Kidz contributing to its ambitious goal of ensuring that every young wheelchair user in the UK is mobile, enabled and included. The six-strong team is responsible for delivering over £3m a year for the organisation’s services.

The Role
This role will be responsible for researching and applying to small Trusts and managing an existing portfolio (up to 10K) alongside supporting larger grant applications where required. You will create and maintain a prospect list, apply for relevant opportunities and effectively steward existing funders, preparing reports and updates ensuring they meet donor guidelines. Furthermore you will support the migration of our CRM from Raisers Edge to Microsoft Dynamics.
The person
You will have Trust fundraising experience with excellent research and writing skills with ability to identify new Trusts to apply to, prepare accurate and compelling donor reports and case studies and be confident in approaching donors and promoting the work of Whizz-Kidz. You will have strong donor stewardship skills with ability to tailor approaches to the needs of the donor. You will also have strong time management skills with ability to manage and prioritise your workload and ideally experience of using a CRM for Trust Fundraising.

Volunteer Programme Fundraiser

About the Role
We currently have a variety of volunteer roles including Fundraising Volunteers, Information Hub Volunteers (who support the Charity Hubs around the hospitals), and event volunteers. The organisation would like to grow the volunteer roles and introduce official Fundraising groups across The East of England to the portfolio.
These are ambitious plans and targets for the charity over the next five years – and volunteers play a huge part in that vision.
Successfully delivering this exciting new fundraising strategy is only possible with a strong team of engaged volunteers – and that is only possible if there are the right volunteer fundraisers in the team.
If successful, you will be working closely with colleagues to identify opportunities for volunteering across events, assisting fundraisers out in the community, setting up fundraising committees, and sourcing income generation opportunities at local community events. You will also be responsible for growing the pool of volunteers allowing presence across the hospital, promoting the work and impact of the charity.
You will also be responsible for co-ordinating the exciting new Hubs within the Hospital programme– ensuring that they are adequately staffed by excellent volunteers who are highly trained, and that are providing an excellent patient experience, in these crucial front-of-house opportunities.

About the Role

Working with different teams across the charity, you’ll be planning, managing and delivering direct marketing campaigns across a range of media including digital and print. Campaign Management

Planning and Budgeting
