Mind in Enfield and Barnet is a fast-growing charity in North London providing much needed therapy, wellbeing support and advocacy services to people with mental health problems. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Engagement Practitioner to lead a team of Practitioners. This a a dedicated service that focuses on empowering clients to achieve socio-economic goals with clear mental health and wellbeing benefits.

We’re recruiting experienced Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners to join our WithYou NHS Talking Therapies service in Kent to provide high volume low intensity interventions based on self management interventions to clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression, deliver computerised CBT through Silvercloud and carrying out patient centred assessments. To apply for this role, you should have, or be soon to complete training in CBT based low intensity interventions and hold BABCP or BPS accreditation (or eligibility towards obtaining the Accreditation). Crisis House is a community-based crisis service, working to a recovery model with the aim to reduce the amount of A&E and Hospital admissions through evidence-based CBT interventions. We are seeking a Female Peer Support Worker to provide support and recovery guidance to individuals experiencing common and severe mental health problems and someone to use their own life experience of mental distress or as a carer and recovery as a template.

REQUIRED SKILLS

To successfully carry out this role you will need:

• to be a registered Pharmacy Technician with GPhC
• an NVQ Level 3 Pharmacy Services BTEC Pharmacy Technician (or equivalent)
• evidence of your continuous professional development
• at least 2 years post-qualification experience of working in a pharmacy environment
• experience of providing medicine related advice to service users/carers
• experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
• knowledge of controlled drugs regulations
• be organised, able to prioritise well and deal with unexpected demands on your time
• to be comfortable using IT and gathering, monitoring and analysing data
• good oral and written communication skills
• be able to work alone but also recognise when to refer in line with your personal/professional limitations

We work with more than 90% of mental health service providers in the UK and focus on four key areas: quality networks, accreditation, national clinical audits, and research and evaluation.

Right now, one of our partners, Richmond Fellowship, is looking for two Employment Specialists to join our team in Chertsey and Leatherhead, Surrey. We help individuals with mental health problems to find paid employment. We also support people to retain their employment when they are struggling at work due to their mental health. We also advise and support employers about mental health in the workplace. But, it’s only possible with the help of people like you.

Your challenge? To do everything you can to help the individuals we work with to source appropriate work experience placements with local organisations/employers. Day to day, you’ll offer support, careers advice and guidance, helping people to set their own recovery and employment focused goals and provide training in personal and skills development such as CV preparation, interview techniques etc. You’ll also be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive links with partner organisations, local employers and Mental Health teams and have the initiative to develop and promote the service. Additionally, you will have responsibility for maintaining efficient admin systems to ensure referrals, assessments and reviews are completed in a timely manner.
 
As well as a good understanding of mental health problems and the issues and barriers this can create for our clients, you’ll need excellent motivational, presentation and listening skills and a willingness to travel in the local area and to work outside of office hours as required.

The post holder will be a car driver or have the ability to travel independently across a large geographical area within Surrey.

We have one positions available, based at Bradmere House in Leatherhead covering the Epsom & Mole Valley area. 

This is a permanent full time post, requiring the post-holder to work 37.5 hours per week.
