Purpose of the AV Technician role:

The Royal Air Force Museum is seeking an Audio Visual Technician with experience in Stage Lighting and Rigging to work with the Event Technician, to use our in-house equipment, for the Commercial and Public Events programs.

As AV Technician you will be, primarily, focused on supporting events, by looking after the lighting equipment in the Museum’s event spaces, which include a 220-seat lecture theatre, iconic Lancaster bomber and the Sunderland Flying Boat. Key responsibilities of our AV Technician include:

The Director of Care is a key leadership role responsible for the strategic development, operational management, and continuous improvement of patient care services within the Mary Stevens Hospice. Working closely with the CEO and the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Care will provide visionary leadership, fostering a culture of compassion, excellence, and innovation in patient care.

They will take the role and responsibilities as the registered manager for the hospice and its regulated activities in accordance with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The postholder will act as the Director for Infection Prevention.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· As the Registered Manager, you will ensure that all legislative requirements of the Care Quality Commission are adhered to within the necessary timeframes, maintaining outstanding ratings where possible.

· Develop and implement the hospice’s care strategy in line with the organisational vision.

· To lead on the delivery of care strategies to always ensure outstanding standards of patient care and safety.

· Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies, including the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

· Chair the Infection Prevention committee and report to the Senior Leadership Team any actions required.

· Monitor and be responsible for quality assurance and governance standards across all clinical services.

· Lead the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and quality assurance frameworks.

Essential Requirements: 

• A full, clean UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (travel expenses are reimbursed) 

• Resident in the Thames Valley area. 

• Experience delivering frontline support, preferably involving sudden bereavement or heightened vulnerabilities.

With a proven track record of crafting inspiring narratives, you will gather and share the lived experience of road victims, to demonstrate the impact of road crashes and the difference Brake makes to families affected.  You will source, research and write for different audiences to raise awareness of the solutions that we know can prevent road crashes and reduce death and injury.

You will write effective and powerful content to meet the needs of different functions, including fundraising materials, news and marketing bulletins, research reports, website features, and other publications.

· Confidence and competence in utilising modern office, communications and IT skills in the Microsoft Office Suite as well as knowledge and skills to use content management systems and databases.

The role: We’re looking for an energetic and creative communications and marketing officer to join the team at Brake, delivering compelling digital marketing and comms campaigns that generate headlines, grow our audience, drive consistent and meaningful engagement, and generate income.

Working at the heart of a small and busy communications team, you will play an instrumental role in shaping and enhancing our digital presence.

With strong digital marketing skills and a desire to make a difference, you will nurture Brake’s social media channels – interacting with our audiences and creating eye-catching and engaging content that raises awareness of the difference we make and encourages people to support our work. 

You will also support on PR and media work, supporting the team to promote Brake’s work via media outlets and manage our media database.
