Estates Coordinator - Job Description

Main Duties

Administration

• Play a key role in organising the Estates Team to manage the Diocesan Estates Portfolio.
• Use triage to fully explore and deal with initial enquiries.
• Co-ordinate urgent and minor works processes.
• Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Negotiate effective working practices between internal and external stakeholders.

Repairs and Maintenance

Residential Lettings and Hall Hire

The role of Fundraising Product Officer is an exciting new role within the wider Sporting Events team that will be integral to building on the success of our existing mass fundraising product- Walk For A Cure. This role will help to deliver 50% increase in income over the next and develop our future product innovation pipeline, including a new product that is currently being worked on due to be delivered in December 2025.

The Fundraising Product Officer will play a crucial role in the day-to-day delivery of Walk For A Cure, including operations and stewardship.

Reporting into the Fundraising Product Manager, this role will work closely with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and delivery partners to ensure the events are delivered on time and to target by putting in place a robust project plan, working groups, reporting and evaluations and ensuring our processes and procedures are fit for purpose.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

· Work with Fundraising Product Manager to scope, test, scale or fail new products, via our innovation board

· Oversee deliverables from key agencies and ensure alignment with project objectives.

· Work with ARUK teams such as marketing and design to define roles, responsibilities, and timelines.

· Provide on-the-day event delivery support at all Walk For A Cure events and act as second in command with event delivery companies

· Generate weekly reports and updates for Fundraising Product Manager to track project progress and address any issues.

· Write and plan all stewardship emails across mass participation portfolio (e.g. Walking Series and new product in development) including building them out in the platform, test and amends, reporting, and work with supporter experience teams to consider the onward journeys.

What we are looking for:

· Demonstrable and relevant experience in fundraising products and/or community events fundraising - delivering projects and/or from start to finish.

· Experience managing agencies and suppliers and ensuring all contractual requirements are delivered on time and budget.

· Demonstrable experience in championing a product at an organisational level with excellent skills in influencing and negotiation.

· Experience working on integrated campaigns would be advantageous.

Following the success and growth of the sporting and third-party mass participation portfolio (5% increase in income) over the past two years, we want to ensure we are set up to deliver the future growth ambition that will see Sporting Events income grow from £4m in 25/26, up to £8m in 2033, and are introducing this new role into the team. Sporting Events income at Alzheimer’s Research UK consists of third-party partnerships, Own Place in Event and challenge events, whilst bespoke/owned events sit within Sporting, they do not sit in this part of the team.

The Senior Sporting Manager will play a crucial role in the strategy, planning, delivery and development of all third-party and Own place in Event activity across the charity, leading a Sporting Events team of 10, with direct line management of two Sporting Events Managers.

Reporting into the Head of Sporting Events (HOSE) and working with the wider Supporter Led Fundraising department, this role will put the Alzheimer’s Research UK front of mind with supporters taking on mass fundraising third-party events, and with the third-party events companies themselves, making us charity of choice. The role will work closely with teams across the organisation, particularly the Regional Fundraising Team, Corporate Partnerships, Data, Digital and Marketing.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

· Support the Head of Sporting Events in the overarching third-party mass participation strategy to deliver ambitious growth between 2025 and 2033

· Lead on all day-to-day delivery of third-party sporting events (FY 25/26- £4.8m income stream): taking lead on Paris Marathon COTY and London Marathon COTY worth £2m

· Work with Head of Sporting Events to identify and pitch for opportunities, and maintain the sporting partnership pipeline

· Support Head of Sporting Events in driving efficiencies in ways of working, spotting opportunities, partnerships development, and sector networking

Shelter from the Storm run an emergency night shelter that looks after 24 men and 12 women all year round. The Waking Night Project Worker is a key role in supporting our guests throughout the night. 

About the shelter:

The night shelter opens everyday at 6pm and closes each morning at 8am. We provide dorm style accommodation - two rooms which each have 12 mens beds and one room containing 12 womens beds. On site we provide: a home cooked dinner every evening, a counselling service, move-on support, ESOL classes, laundry, showers, clothing, computers, activities, a breakfast each morning and sandwiches to take away. We are a low-needs, low-risk homeless shelter so do not work with people suffering from acute mental health problems or people with active drug or alcohol dependencies.

Job Description:

To be on shift from 9pm until 7am alongside a volunteer to ensure the safe running of Shelter from the Storm. The volunteer position is a ‘sleep in’ role meaning that long parts of the shift will be lone-working. Therefore a satisfactory DBS check is essential.

The WNPW will provide first contact, safeguarding and support to Shelter clients and an essential link to staff working during the day.

The post-holder will be responsible for controlling access to the building, dealing with emergencies, carrying out Health and Safety checks and communicating any concerns or events to the rest of the on-site team and/or on-call staff.

The WNPW will be familiar with SFTS safeguarding policies and guest agreements, demonstrating a non-judgemental attitude and an understanding of the issues faced by a vulnerable client group who may be experiencing complex issues. At Zetetick Housing, we provide supported living for adults with learning disabilities, autism and other needs. We work with care providers to make sure our tenants feel safe, respected, and at home.

We’re looking for a Housing Officer who doesn’t just tick boxes, but genuinely cares. Someone who notices the small things. Someone who wants to be part of a team that quietly gets on with doing things properly.

You’ll be helping people move into homes where they can finally settle. You’ll sort out repairs that actually get done. And you’ll build relationships with care providers, social workers and landlords so everyone’s pulling in the same direction.

What you’ll be doing

• Visiting properties and talking with tenants

• Helping people settle into their new home

• Sorting out safety checks and making sure they’re followed up

• Noticing what’s missing and putting it right

• Keeping records tidy and up to date

• Supporting the wider team so nothing gets missed

This is hands-on work with real variety. Based in our Uckfield and Croydon offices. Some days you’ll be out on site, others catching up on systems or sorting logistics. You’ll see the direct impact of what you do.

About Us

We are a passionate, grassroots charity dedicated to rescuing stray dogs from local authority pounds that are at risk of euthanasia after their statutory 7-day holding period. As such, we operate a non-selective intake and take dogs of all breeds and temperaments.

About the Role

This role will directly impact our ability to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs more efficiently and effectively. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the welfare and rehoming success of our dogs. Reporting to the Canine Programmes Manager, you will conduct full and written behavioural assessments, develop tailored behaviour modification plans, and deliver hands-on support to dogs in our kennels, foster homes, and adoptive families. You will also build capacity across our organisation by training kennel staff, volunteers, and stakeholders, and support our outreach efforts to keep dogs in loving homes within our local community.  You will be responsible for ensuring our dogs are ready for homes faster, adopted quicker, and retained in loving homes longer. The successful candidate will be organised, animal-passionate, and have recent relevant experience in dog rescue and rehoming work.

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct thorough behavioural assessments for all dogs entering our care.

· Develop and implement evidence-based behaviour modification plans.

· Provide ongoing behavioural support to foster carers and post-adoption families.

· Maintain accurate, up-to-date behavioural records for all dogs.

· Deliver training and mentorship to kennel team, volunteers, and other stakeholders.

· Support our new community outreach programme by offering in-home or remote behavioural advice

· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure behaviour plans align with welfare goals and rehoming decisions.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all dogs using our software Animal Shelter Manager.

Person Specification

Essential

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with dogs in a rescue or shelter setting.

· Demonstrated success in assessing and modifying dog behaviour using positive reinforcement methods.

· Good communication skills, able to produce clear and actionable behavioural reports, assessments, and care plans.

· Good people skills, with the ability to train and support staff and volunteers.

· A genuine commitment to animal welfare and the values of our organisation.

· Organised and dependable, with diligence in record-keeping.

· Own transport and full, clean driving licence is essential due to our rural location.

· Empathy and patience when dealing with vulnerable animals and people.

Desirable

· Recognised qualification in animal behaviour or canine training.

· Experience delivering behavioural training sessions or workshops.

· Familiarity with community engagement or outreach work in an animal welfare context.

· Familiarity with welfare and rehoming legislation or sector standards such as the ADCH.
